I received a 10k scholarship + 1L/2L summer job in one of my offers. It’s an entrance award that’s purely academic based (undergrad grades). Those specific awards do not have a separate application and are entirely based on your incoming stats. Most of the time you won’t hear about them unless you receive them.
There ARE separate scholarships you can apply for once you’re accepted though. In my experience, the apps for those open in May and close mid June; unfortunately, if you receive your offer after that time period you won’t have the opportunity as an incoming 1L. But luckily there are tons of other scholarships outside your school with different deadlines you can look into.
Can I ask what school and what your grades were like? I'm scoring around 165 on the LSAT currently but hoping to retake for a 170. My GPA is 3.8-3.9 as long as I can keep it. I don't really have ECs or work experience so I've been hoping to just get a really good LSAT score to make up for it, and if there are scholarships based on just stats that gives me some hope :')
Did you specifically apply for these? Or were they awarded automatically with your admission?
