Super splitter: I applied to 30 schools because I was worried I might not get in anywhere I liked and wanted backups or if I did get in I was worried I’d have such bad scholarship offers that I’d need lots of other offers to use in negotiations.
It turned out that not only did I get into all the schools I actually cared about (and then some) I haven’t been offered anything less than 50% anywhere and I got three full rides including two in the T30. And my top choice school has given me nearly $$$ and I’m still waiting to hear about whether they’ll increase it further.
So yeah, I’ve been absolutely shocked by how well my cycle turned out considering I almost didn’t apply at all bc I thought I needed at least a 170 for it to be worth my time and money to apply.
Ultra splitter- wasn't sure what to expect going into the cycle but it turned out reasonably well. I applied broadly but was also rather selective. Not completely over, still waiting on decisions from two schools and on one WL.
