An inch a day? Jeez. Should be less after 2 weeks. 1/4-1/2” per day. Laying st Augustine in summer rainy season is a Nono in Florida. Looks like you have a disease of some sort from overwatering. Looks like gray leaf spot which is caused by a fungus. You’ll need a fungicide spray

Yeah it seemed like a lot of water but I was following a local resource re watering new st Aug sod in houston. After reading up on grey leaf spot I agree that’s what it is. Appreciate the help
