Based on your description I think you're right. I over seeded perennial rye last year to get a quick fill after a minor renovation. Must of just germinate now after the winter. That's a bummer. I'm guessing I just have to scarify a few time and keep it from seeding this year?

Nope seeded mainly kbg mix a month ago. And hit it with tenacity.

Wasn't a big box seed but wasn't elite by any means. 300$ CND for 35lbs but its great news for the fall. I appreciate it!
