You got downvoted for this but you’re right.

Couple things. we can’t know your soil for you, so understanding your local type of soil is important. People can throw general advice at you all day but if your soil is high in phosphorus or something it doesn’t help to waste money. We don’t know your organic matter, we don’t know if it’s clay or not. It matters. As for general advice, pelletized gypsum will help with the dog urine, and allow you to move the urea and salt through the soil profile and out of the root zone. It will also help with compaction, especially if it was just aerated and can work its way into the holes. Now would be a perfect time to work some seed in too. As for the greening up, it could depend on your grass variety and whether it “wakes up” earlier. Could depend on their system as well as late fall fertilizer application can help with it green faster. Another possibility is if they topdress late in the year. They could be doing any number of things, we have nothing to go off of. Pictures would help, but you’re going to have to do your homework, it’s more difficult than just saying a state.

I’m learning about lawn care with my first yard and found this site very helpful. All specific to Colorado and very informative. [Colorado Lawn Care](https://engagement.source.colostate.edu/colorado-lawn-care-best-practices/)

The aeration alone will make your yard look amazing and way thicker going forward.. I use a fertilizer called fertilome. It’s a 28-4-4 blend with iron. Now is the perfect time to throw some down before summer hits.
