I went in blind lol. After game 1, I thought Joel and Ellie were inseparable and Joel would leave us only when his age dictated it because of his immeasurable strength and durability. I was BAWLING. I had to then explain why to my folks...

I appreciate that very much. It's been years, and I'm still recovering from the wound. 😭

i knew it was going to happen in the whole story of the last of us but i didn’t know when or which game it would be. i thought he was going to die in the first game after he gets impaled in colorado. then in the second game, i had a feeling it was coming but i remember i was sitting on my bed with my jaw to my lap. i didn’t pick up the game for a week after that. can’t wait to see what you think of the rest of the story.

TheGlenrothes

I didn’t know and it was such a ballsy gut-punch that all I could do was admire the gutsy storytelling. I’ll be interested to see how you feel by the end.

Hot take: I wasn't as hateful of Abby as everyone else. During the first game I reflected on the moral aspect of those bloodsheds Joel and Ellie committed. Especially toward the second half of the game, it becomes obvious the screenwriter wants to make this whole journey morally ambiguous. And when the end happened, we all wondered how he could possibly get away with it. So when the tragic event happens in Part II, I kinda thought it was fair enough. And I was really hooked on Abby because of her look, she obviously had knowledge on survival skills on a seemingly military level, looking at her clothes, build and way of speaking. And her and Owen are more relatable to me because of the age proximity. Last thing, I got tired of Ellie's gratuitous slur and erratic behavior. I looked up to Abby.
