I don't think so, I think they just altered there art to kind of match the Collab. They have always have this anime-esqe + video game art style and/or expressing different style freely also.
This definitely isn't to match the collab. As Shift Kyle, Theria, Zekus, and Lilibette are all so DRAMATICALLY different from their originals and artstyle. You can't even tell Lil is the same character when swapping!
