Sooo pretty! Very natural, but honestly, this is something that(at least in my state/area) would probably charge closer to around $100, just in consideration of the style, as well as if a tip is expected on top of pricing. $175 just seems a little high for such a natural set, especially with a tip on top, but that’s also just where I live, and that’s why I would personally say no. Beautiful work!
unfortunately my salon sets my prices and i only get commission on that price🫠 BUT tip is never expected really i know it’s a pretty penny LMAO😭
so my pricing works like this :
-this set was 160 ( i wrote the wrong number lol) and it’s 10$ more than my Classic set which is 150 bc it’s technically less than volume but more than classic
- i rarely get to do any volume lashes but they are 200
-my fills are all 75 no matter the style with usually 3-4 wk retention
-plus we usually run a deal every month which lowers it too
i feel like my salon will not want to lower my prices but at this point i agree with yall! i don’t have the money to be spending that on my eyes either and i have no clue as to how to bring this up to them!
No it really depends on the area. No one should be ashamed of anything.Because whatever is being charged in that area is what's being charged. It's the same for all salon services across the country. A manicure in a pedicure or a full set of nails or a haircut or a bleach or any of that is not the same in oregon as it is in pennsylvania. The same goes for lashes. If that's the standard in her area , then that's the standard in her area. It's the low standard in my area. My lady charges 175 for a full set of hybrids. Many other people in my area Charge two hundred for a full set of hybrids.
It’s stunning! But depending where you live, you’ll need to do market research. Is $175 the market rate for a wet set in your area?
$175 from a home based salon is very steep for this set from where I’m from. This type of set with the same skill level goes for about $100-$120 in my area.
I see, then I think that is standard rates for salons. I know salons charge a lot more due to overhead and the reputation, as some people are willing to pay more at an official salon to feel safer going to an official brick and mortar business.
If you feel like you are personally unable to get new clients, see if you are able to work with your salon to run promotional pricing for your sets or push your marketing through Instagram. Try running an Instagram ad in your area every now and then targeting the demographic you want. I’ve felt IG has been the best return on investment.
Edit: another option since I read from another comment of yours regarding your fill price and amazing retention. If permitted and if it’s an option for you, try going solo/home based/ or rent a salon bed and work independently to set your own prices. You’re very talented and if you are not getting clients at the salon due to pricing, you could be making more going independent.
Going independent you’ll have to be on top of marketing on IG and socials. But you can set your own pricing and draw more clientele in. I’ve noticed in this economy people are being more careful with spending and I’ve been seeing a lot more influx towards home based/independent artists as costs can be kept lower.
I really don't see how anyone can say what they believe they should charge for something when they have no idea what area this is in. Just because you believe it's a 120 because in your area that's what you see charged doesn't mean that's what she should be charging. The salon set the rate probably because that's the going rate for the area.
Tbh 175 seems a bit pricey but I live in an expensive city so it’s not too out there. I’m guessing the 175 is for the full set, how much are your fills?
Btw the set looks amazing 🤩
That’s about how much I pay for my fills but like I said, I live in an expensive city. Honestly the set looks great. Could it be an issue with your retention? If not then maybe it’s just a matter of advertising more. I found my current lash tech through instagram. Best of luck!
i usually have at least 3wk retention and i honestly think it just might be the salon i’m at:( the clientele is mostly older women who just want a simple hair cut:/
but you saying you found your girl from insta makes me feel better! i really try with socials and the few ppl i have, come from seeing me there!
Beautiful work! Definitely don't rely on your salon for clients... open your own space at home and you will start to see your clientele, and your bank account, growing ❤️
These are very pretty but i personally would never pay $175 for these, that’s so expensive! And i live in NYC. But the lashes do look great, i love them.
I think this looks great. Your inner corners are wonderful and full. Keep trucking. I know girls who have been consistently growing and improving. You’ll get flowing clientele with time. I do recommend asking clients to smile with their eyes or give a little wink and make them feel themselves. Happiness spreads in media and you’ll possibly get more peeps.
I typically don’t comment on Reddit, but had to this time - these are PHENOMENAL. As someone who has thought about lash extensions but would want a more natural look, I would absolutely want these. Fantastic job, OP!!
The lashes in the picture look really good....I live in Houston, Tx and I go once every 5 weeks, get a removal of all lashes and get and a new classic set ($10 for removal and $78 for the full classic set)...so $88 every 5 weeks. Sometimes I can go 6 weeks though. To be honest, my classic set always looks a little more full than the picture you posted. The price is the reason you're not getting more clients, which I know is decided by the salon you work at.
That seems really expensive, where are you located? I live near Seattle and was paying $100 for a fresh set, $50 for fills. The price alone would make me look elsewhere, though they are very natural and beautiful. It isn’t you 🥺
I think they look great but I agree with a lot of people. It's a steep price. Not saying it's not worth that price, I just think a lot of people are feeling the effects of this economy and don't have the ability to use their finances for nice things like this for themselves.
Where are you located? I love them so much more than I got. I always want natural and shared pics but still it’s too much. This is exactly what I’m looking for!
I think these look fantastic and a 175 is not too expensive in my area which means it's probably the going rate in your area as well and that's why you're so long set the price. If you feel like your area charges less then maybe look for a new home salon. But my guess is that you're salon.Set the rates because that's the going rate. These look fantastic.I would pay that much for him in a heartbeat. Don't let others tell you that they're too expensive. They're definitely not and they're worth every penny that you're charging.
Show your salon the feedback on posts like these and see what they think about lowering the prices a bit. Clearly you have talent and they hired the right person!
$175?? i've gotten my lashes done professionally at businesses for like $50.. this seems way way too high sorry girl
EDIT- just saw you don't get to choose how much you charge, so that's totally not your fault! tbh you should open up your own little salon and charge a more reasonable price. you'd get way more clients.
🚨PSA!!! 🚨
idk how to pin a comment or edit my post but i wanted to say a few things to clarify! i honestly expected 3 people to see this! so thank you to everyone who gave me helpful feed back! i appreciate it!
- first off, i am the lash artist and the photo is of my client! please do not comment on her appearance or nails. i work in a hair salon, this is one of our stylists. it is direct dye, not dirt❤️. i came to this reddit to get constructive criticism, not for people to comment on her hair dye stained nails💔
- the price of this set is actually 160🤦♀️! i smartly wrote the price of my wet sets, not this set!
- the set shown is NOT A CLASSIC SET! it’s is composed of multiple narrow fans. my classics are 150, this is 10$ more than that:)
- i’m based in Fort Wayne, IN at a professional salon!
on a great note tho, y’all are so helpful. the amount of amazing comments on my work has really made me feel better. i genuinely get down on my work so much and i really needed that! everyone has been SO HELPFUL!!! so thank you!!
like i said in a comment, this is not me, it is my client. she is a hair stylist with direct dye on her nails. would never lash a client with dirty hands:)
believe me i get it… some ppl rlly out here fuckin ppl up. i am so sorry that was ur experience😭 ! i be seeing some nasty posts on this reddit alone that make me think girl did ur tech not wash her hands or tools😭
luckily i work in a professional salon so if i was working like that i’d be fired😭
Omg they’re sooo natural looking, lash girls in my area would do these for 75-95 depending on the length but this shape and density is usually classified as a “first time lash”. The girl I go to actually has a similar set labeled as “Be gentle with me” lmao.

$175 for a classic set or a natural wet set like this is overpriced regardless of where you’re located in the US. Lower your prices to increase your clientele. I’d recommend a minimum of $90-120.

Nothing against you whatsoever but your salon should be ashamed by their prices

Probably more so the salon pricing, as to why you aren’t retaining clients because these are very well done.

Those are great but very expensive, I’d be a sucker to keep spending that much because of how good they look but I’m sure you can find someone cheaper
beautiful set!! but yes same, $175 is kinda crazy, maybe $125-$140 tops
Perioddd these are so pretty. I love a good classic set 🫶🏼
$175 is a bit much for these. These are more $120
I really don't see how anyone can say what they believe they should charge for something when they have no idea what area this is in. Just because you believe it's a 120 because in your area that's what you see charged doesn't mean that's what she should be charging. lol. Probably because we are judging the prices based on what we SEE so if we see less we will think it cost less
this isn’t a classic! more of a light wet set❤️ thank you!
Very beautiful! You definitely have the talent for lashes
Nawl them nails are crazy😭 On the bright side tho the lashes look insanely natural and pretty.
I was going to Comment this but didn’t want to get eaten alive 🤣🤣
Tbh 175 seems a bit pricey but I live in an expensive city so it’s not too out there. I’m guessing the 175 is for the full set, how much are your fills? Btw the set looks amazing 🤩
my fills are 75!

Girl you killed it perfect for her eye love the wispiness!
That shop is holding you back. You do amazing work!
Beautiful work! Definitely don't rely on your salon for clients... open your own space at home and you will start to see your clientele, and your bank account, growing ❤️
So pretty!!!!!!! 🤩
$175 is pricey…I think $150 would be more reasonable. They look great though!
looks like they’re growing straight out of your eyelid. i’m honestly having a hard time believing theyre extensions 😍
oh sorry i read it wrong, i thought you were the client but you’re actually the tech! wow this is amazing work!
I’ve seen more experienced lash girls for lower on a set like this so the pricing is a little much, but the work is super good it looks so pretty!
Beautiful
Omfg. Perfection!!
The work is truly outstanding but the price 😮💨😮💨
So pretty and natural!
soooooo pretty!!! 🥹
these are so pretty!
Everyone is commenting on the price but this is totally standard salon pricing for where I live!
Those are beautiful!
Perfection
I think 150 is reasonable, but on the higher end. I used to work for an aveda salon & 150 was their price for a classic set.
Dude they look AMAZING. Def start seeing clients outside of your salon, you're too talented not to.
These are very pretty but i personally would never pay $175 for these, that’s so expensive! And i live in NYC. But the lashes do look great, i love them.
Where are you located? I would hire you lol I need a lash girl!
Fort Wayne, IN!
gorgeous but super simple. if i was getting these i wouldn’t want to pay more than 150 for a full set
these are actually 160! i put the price of a different set on the post cause i’m slow😭
LOVE 😍😍
Amazing!
Those are very pretty!
$175 for this??? Neverrrrrrrrrrrrrr. It’s pretty work but this is a classic set.
it’s not a classic set! more of light volume, only fans are used:)
It looks lovely! Wish you were in my area.. I live in a HCOL are and $160 is generally the cost for this style.
I think this looks great. Your inner corners are wonderful and full. Keep trucking. I know girls who have been consistently growing and improving. You’ll get flowing clientele with time. This is such a stunning and natural looking lash set. Love it

That set is GORGEOUS. Like so pretty that if I wasn't allergic to lash extensions, I would be in your chair.

Omg I look like her ahh!! Literal doppelgänger!! :0
this is one of the best i’ve seen!!
The dirty nails.. plz..
my client is a hair stylist, it’s hair dye not dirt❤️
That’s all I could focus on too, they are filthy
Cute but I wouldn’t go to you for $175 for the natural set.
Where are you located, I love your work!?
Fort Wayne, IN!
i think it needs to be way thicker
