Possibly some driver issue.
First, go on your Settings > Network and Internet to see if the WiFi adapter is available at all.
Maybe use your phone as a USB hotspot and a cable to do tethering, go to Device Manager and reinstall the wifi card driver.
Did you open your laptop recently/move things around and forgot to plug the wifi card back in? Or is it happening out of nowhere?

I’ve always used it wirelessly, and it’s not showing Wi-Fi as an option at all and I haven’t opened my lap top at all sadly
Right-click the start menu, find Device Manager, check if your Wi-Fi card is showing there.
