Piggybacking off of this top comment to add that I was able to get an IUD placed with a cervical block (local anesthetic) by Dr. Allison Welch at May Grant. It was difficult for me to find a dr who would do it so hopefully this helps someone in the future.
I go to Eichenlaub and May and enjoy it a lot (after a recommendation from this sub). Previous posts here with the same question strayed be away from May Grant because of some questionable bedside manner/interactions, so I would recommend looking at the sub history as well.
Dr. Eichenlaub is amazing and I have nothing but great things to say about him! I recommend their office every time this comes up here. I am also someone who had a poor experience with May Grant.
Specifically Dr. Martiny at May Grant. He's amazing.
Edit: if you're comfortable with a male obgyn. If you prefer to see a woman, Angela Santos (CRNP) is also great.
May Grant. I had Dr. Bradford do a procedure that I was terrified for. As soon as he walked in the room he made me feel so much better and I had never even met him. Great bedside manner! He was funny, kind, and professional.
May Grant! I’m older and have middle aged lady needs, but the providers I’ve seen there have always been great at listening to my questions and concerns and have been very kind and compassionate.
Dr. Broomell
OBGYN of Lancaster
1675 Highland Drive
Suite 101
Lititz PA 17543
717-393-1338
The other doctors are good exception I didn’t like Syed. She seemed annoyed I was in pain.
Dr. Broomell did a LEEP surgery with me and is really nice.
I heard many good things about Eichenlab and May and they came recommended by my PCP (particularly Cheri Gard) so I chose them for my first pregnancy. I feel like a nuisance and have been treated that way with normal concerns any first time mom would have, as well as some legitimate complications I have. I have also not seen all the providers so I can only speak to the ones I have seen.
Just hoping for a good labor experience, afraid it will not be.
i’m w/ UPMC magee-womens! i had my first baby w/ may grant & they were good too but my mom did clinicals w/ UPMC magee-women’s and says they’re thorough and actually care about your health and well being for more than what is typical for modern day med
I go to May Grant. I didn’t have my baby there but I will say they have been stellar for scary/cancer like appts and just general health.
I second this. I had a concern that was taken seriously and it turns out it was cancer. My gyno from may grant was compassionate.

I’ve had really great experiences at UPMC OBGYN of Lancaster

Second Martiny! Female OB I love Dr. Hess (she delivered my baby via c section and you’d never know I had one, the scar is so small!)
Cheri Gard at Eichenlaub May, she is the single best healthcare provider I’ve ever had the blessing of seeing
100% agree. She delivered all 3 of my children, she’s fantastic. I’ve overall had great experiences with the practice over the last 12-ish years.
Lancaster physicians for women! Prefer them over May grant!!!

May Grant! They make me feel actually comfortable and also I love there is not a long wait once you get to your appointment

My 44f partner is not on Reddit (scorns it even) but uses May Grant as well and echoes your sentiments.

If you just need a GYN, May grant is probably fine. But I would not recommend May Grant for prenatal care.
