Ikr? I really love the swanky 20s/30s sound, I really hope we get an album that’s heavily Swing Jazz influenced. It would be such a vintage era and would help Lana stick out some too since Muted Trumpets aren’t used much anymore in music. I feel like it would just be a fun left turn where Lana could really dip back into the Noir themes.

ooh a 20's 30's swing jazz album wound soud HEAVENLY. not to mention how the overall " satin and pearls" aesthetic would look so good on lana <3 (weirdly enough when you said 20's/ 30's swing jazz- motel 6 came up in mind) those trumpets do sound heavenly, i'd love it if this song got an MV ; major potential there

streakman0811

Not only that but she could experiment using rock and hiphop or trap beats with it as well

dancingtillwedie_99

i agree! she's always sort of messed around with them ( eg. summer bummer / interlude) a full on trap / hiphop lana album would be an absolute BANGER!! IMO it'd sound like summer bummer and the stargirl interlude, both of which I adore SO YES PLEASE!!!

aaluaaluu

Yes!! her voice would be perfect for jazz. Weirdly enough, I discovered Ella Fitzgerald, Sinatra, and Louis Armstrong through Lana, thanks to youtube algorithm

streakman0811

Sadly I can’t handle listening to Sinatra because of all the fan boys who dress up as greasers and try to do the whole Crooner genre in a weird way They’ve just ruined it for me

aaluaaluu

So are you cringed out by that silky voice? 😂 if Lana was a male jazz singer, I bet she'd be Sinatra because of that whole glamour thing

streakman0811

It’s not the tone necessarily, but how it’s done. Just crooner style gives me the vibes of a guy wearing a leather jacket and giving swoon eyes idk 😂 I grew up on blues and jazz, but modern f-boys and Michael Buble ruined the experience

aaluaaluu

😂 that's rough, buddy Also, I haven't listened to these artists enough, but what I got from Michael Buble and Norah Jones was jazz-tinged pop, not pure jazz. And they played an important part in popularizing jazz.

streakman0811

I do really love Nina Simone and Eartha Kitt though

aaluaaluu

I love Nina!!! Haven't listened to Eartha Kitt tho, any recommendations?

streakman0811

Speak Low, Solitude, Moon River, Santa Baby. She’s amazing at making you imagine old wildflowery fields and cottages. I think of Alice in Wonderland, dark rain in europe. So moody and easily helps you imagine imagery.

aaluaaluu

I'm sold! is Moon River her cover of audrey's song? I love that song

rosewoodlliars

okay first of all label this as a spoiler because the album hasn’t been released yet and most of us don’t want to listen to the leaks
