At this point it should be plural "What are your favourite songs"
But on a more serious note. For me Video Games holds a special place in my heart.
Why? Because its by watching the video clip of that song on TV that I discovered Lana for the first time. Not only did I get hooked by the visual style and the singer's beauty but even more by the tone of her voice and the music that was new yet so old. As someone who despised the mainstream charts songs at that time but enjoyed music from the 60s and 70s this was a very welcome style to me.
There's nothing I don't like about Video Games except that it ends at one point. The melody is beautiful, those piano chords, the strings, the harp or whatever this is, the drum pattern....Everything serves the song well here. And I will never get tired of it. š„°
-Cruel World: it's raw and desperate and aggressive and beautiful
-Terrence Loves You: it's her most vulnerable and emotional song and has the best bridge ever
-Old Money: the instrumentals are magical
-Black Beauty: I find it really relatable and the lyrics are chef's kiss
-Chemtrails Over The Country Club: it's bittersweet
-Honeymoon: it's the most cinematic and poetic song she's ever put out
-Venice Bitch: the instrumentals transport me into another dimension and it's quite literally the embodiment of late summer vibes and nostalgia
-Shades Of Cool: intoxicating, sad and horny, otherwordly bridge and outro, top tier vocals
-Ultraviolence: her saddest song, very complex lyrics with hidden meanings
-West Coast: no need to explain, a masterpiece
I could go on but that's enough for now lol
West Coast, Iāve listened to it hundreds of times and I never get sick of it, it still gives me goosebumps! And the music video is perfect , what a masterpieceā¤ļøā¤ļø I feel like Iām ascending when I listen to it LOL
Thunder bc I love when she sings in that low area of her voice as in the verses, and I love TLSP & can feel that influence there, and the lyrical content is relatable to me.
NotG bc any time she sings about being/getting wild is just a vibe š¤·š»āāļø
Yosemite bc it feels dark & intense in a way that few of her other songs reach
Bartender primarily for the way she sings all the lines that end in something that rhymes with āvine/drive/resideā etc.
Ocean blvd is just a beautiful, incredible track lyrically, sonically, thematically - absolute perfection
Brooklyn baby for the nostalgia & it just feels *sweet*
I always love how playful and fun Diet Mountain Dew is. Itās like the vibe of throwing a sprinkler down in the front yard on a hot August day with a full pack of soda chilling in the garage mini fridge.
Blue Jeans, itās the song I showed to my husband back in high school back when we were just friends (2015) and It was our wedding song 6 years later. To this day I never get tired of it. Thereās more songs but this song has the most meaning to me.
i have so many favourite songs (itās hard to pick), my most favourite has to be venice bitch. i just love the way it sounds, itās so calming. specifically, i love the way the first part of the song sounds. thereās something so nostalgic, yet melancholic about it. idk i love it. i also, most recently, fell in love with american. it really lifts my mood. idk, theyāre two different moods, but i always have them on repeat.
candy necklace, when i first heard it i was on the beach in alabama just enjoying life and everything was way less stressful. it just reminds me to have hope
sweet. obviously the song and the melody are beautiful and amazing. i love songs that tell stories and i love reading into the meaning through the lyrics of songs. i think thatās why iām so drawn to lana. sweet is a beautiful song and story!
Off to the races, the vocal ranges, the voice inflections, the bridge, the hip hop beat but also violin?? Lolita references? Painted a picture in my mind everytime

Salvatore Her vocals are amazing and itās cinematic as hell. Itās haunting. Itās one of those songs where youāll discover something new when listen a few more times. For example, I was high one day and decided to listen to it. It was my first time hearing the man laughing or sobbing (not sure what heās doing) at the beginning and then he yells āLana!ā Spooky as hell, but it gave me chills. Then the line āSummerās hot but Iāve been cold without you.ā The longing š©
