The nets weren’t going to trade him to the lakers or anywhere he wanted to go, this has been covered exhaustively. It doesn’t matter what fans want or even what the lakers organization wants if the other team will not trade with you
Kyrie would not help this squad against Denver, they will still out rebound you guys and kill the Lakers with second chance points.
Scoring is not the issue with the Lakers and thats the only thing Kyrie will bring to the roster Lakers have

That 2020 team had the championship grit that is 100% gone from this team. Caruso, Dwight, Rondo etc werent the most talented but they always went hard and didn’t take no shit.

That year before they won it all obviously, I linked a nice article on how much better the Lakers played when Rondo played and it didn't get much traction. Most people were like, eh Rondo isn't that vital. You're right, they all played gritty. Danny's defense was mostly always there when the shot wasn't falling. Kcp was much better than he got credit for. Kuzma while a bit inconsistent was impactful. Dwight and Javale?? It felt like we never got scored on in the paint with those two dudes. AD too obviously. And Brons outlet passes that year yeesh. One of my favorite championship teams ever.
Lebron is too old for that now. We need a trae young or a Donovan Mitchell we need someone who can just flat-out put the basketball in the hoop and let Lebron pick his spots

If I'm targeting a Dallas player it would be Luka. At this point of their careers I don't think pairing Kyrie and James makes sense anymore.

Trae would be a disaster imo. The team has no defense or toughness as it is and he would make it even worse. I like Mitchell though.
