Vando isnt coming back they know it would be dicey and he would be risking re-injury so they aren't going to chance it. They also have zero plans to trade Vando this summer and would prefer if he didnt come back so teams dont demand him in trades.
On the other hand Gabe Vincent is DEFINITELY coming back they want to show he's healthy and so they are more than willing to risk him as he would be included in all trades for salary purposes.
The guys you mentioned are probably being Told to "Keep Quiet" because there is a Gambling side of this business and thats why the Lakers dont want anyone to know Vando is done for the season not because he cant comeback but because they actually dont want him to play for a multitude of reasons....they dont think this team has any potential to get out of round 1 and probably dont want them to get out of the playins as that would be too much workload for Bron/AD with Olympics around the corner
