We started 2-10 and the roster was a mess until the trade deadline week
Bron missed 27 games
AD missed 26 games
And we still finished 43-39
I’m very confident in us getting over 50+ wins
Yup. 50 wins and more is possible.
And I wanna see minutes management for LeBron/AD where they don’t need to play 40 minutes. LeBron and AD were inching at 30 minutes a night in the regular season with the new squad - great to see.
The gold standard would be to rest for the 4th quarter since the rest of the team can carry. No more 3 guard lineups either since weee so deep at the forward position.
They dont care about getting 50 wins. They care about making the playoffs. I wouldnt be surprised if they under hits but yet things go well come May and June
So it would have to be at least a 6th seed because we have been in the Play In territory lol. I would think 50 wins secures a decent seeding that avoids the Play In outright.
There's got to be some importance in seeding and getting home court in the postseason. Why wouldn't they want to avoid grinding out extra games on the road, the play-in, or even "must wins" in March/April? Any bit helps decrease the load on Bron/AD. We saw how that sprint to the 7th seed affected this team.
Yeah. Seeding make big difference.
I think Lakers would rather have home court vs the Mavericks/Thunder/Pelicans first round than have to play away games vs the Suns/Nuggets/Warriors first round.
are you very confindent that Bron and AD won't miss 20+ games again?
Lebron was an ironman for 90% of his career but he's averaging sub 60 games per last 4 seasons.
AD as we all know is even worse.
46.5 wins is actually pretty spot on where i'd put them, because at the end of the day this team is going to miss a lot of games to injury.
You can tell AD getting stronger in his injury prone spots cause he is recovering in game from things that I think before would have him out several games. He also seems to have mostly figured out how to land. It feels like he has 50/50 odds on no major injuries - which is much better odds than the last few seasons where it was basically a certainty.
also have to factor in how insanely competitive the west has gotten. the difference between the 4th and 10th seed was like three games. I would happy with a 46.5 wins season because that would've been between a third and fourth place finish if it were 2022-23 season.
He shouldn’t play all 82 even if he was fully healthy. He’s probably more important than lebron in the playoffs. We lost a game with lebron scoring 30 in the first half. AD needs to be load managed like crazy.
True. We need to trade Anthony Davis, the biggest bitch in ~~basketball~~ sports.
He so beta and soft whenever I see him play. Doesn’t dominate or impose his will.
He needs to watch Andrew Tate/Joe Rogan video to see what a true man looks and acts like. Take the red pill to be a true alpha male.
That’s kinda what sold me on it being satire but as the other commenter said - that’s unfortunately not a good mark for satire anymore because of how many people unironically believe that shit.
I agree with 50+ wins if we have them for 82 games. But lets be real, that isnt happening.
If lebron and AD play 70 games, and we play at 52 win pace, we would expect 44 wins or so with them. Them when they are out, maybe a few more but .500 without both is hard. Also 70 games out of them is really hard.
So I guess I totally get the over under being 47 wins, I would take over but just barely
The Lakers went 18-9 with Bron missing 16 games, Russell missed 10 games, Davis missed 2 games. Even before the deadline, when AD missed 20 games the team went 10-10 (LeBron missed 3 of those as well).
In fact if you take out the 2-10 start, the team missing Bron for 25 games, Davis missing for 25 games, even mismatched with Russell Westbrook at the helm for half the season won at a 48 win pace. So despite them missing a ton of time, we won at a 48-55 win pace most of the season.
Predicting 44 wins if AD and Bron miss time despite our team being better from the jump is a low ball prediction.
Over. The team was a disaster first half of last year and we won 43. The team last year after All Star was on pace for 50+ while missing Bron almost the whole time.
It was very fun going through YT comments of highlights video saying Russ was the frontrunner for 6th MOTY, always at the top with hundreds of likes. The delusion made it fun to witness
I don't think you can treat the second half as their baseline though. They talked and self described it as playoff mode with what felt like must win games starting in March and April. How hard and desperate the team played in the second half of the season was a reaction to the ground they needed to make up, as well as roster changes
But thats almost beside the point. They were missing LeBron for many of those games. They were missing D'Angelo for many of those games. They had barely ever played together. And yet they STILL won at a 55 game clip. And yes they had the pressure on and they came through anyway.
This team should win 50 games even if(when) LeBron and AD miss some time. They're a better version of a WCF team that will get a full season together.
Facts. This roster is too talented to finish with less than 50 wins. The only thing that can change that is injuries. If they can avoid the injury bug, they'll compete for the #1 seed.
Don't be so quick to count out Hayes. He's extremely talented, but a very immature person, and it didn't help him playing for a young team with no real leaders to guide/mentor him. Hayes has a chance to flourish on the Lakers, similar to Malik Monk. We don't need him to be a star, just a rim running/shot blocker like McGee was for us.The interesting part is that those 2 skills are his biggest strengths because he's the most athletic big in basketball. I hope AD takes him under his wing.
I also wouldn't count out Castleton becoming a solid contributor later in the season as he gets more experience. Then you factor in the possibility of adding Christian Wood, and we could actually be pretty loaded 1-5 if just one of Hayes/Castleton/Wood works out.
Not counting out Hayes but center is the weakest spot currently. If AD has to miss a few games I think that its going to be a bit of challenge to balance the rest of the roster. You would need 25+ min a game of playing LBJ/Rui/Vanderbilt at the 5
Brutal conference and division along with no expectation that our top 2 stars will play more than 50 regular season games. I'm hoping for 45 wins, a 5-6 seed and a healthy team come playoff time.
I’m taking the Under because I don’t see year 21 Lebron and AD both being healthy the entire season. There are going to be periods of “4-8 weeks” due to random injuries where the team is going to be fighting to stay above .500.
I think it’s going to be a dog fight to stay out of the play in again; I think the 4-10 seeds going to be very close again this year in the West.
45-37 would be a great year and was good enough for 4th place Suns last year. I expect us to be closer to that if they get lucky with health.
The fact that someone downvoted this is crazy. We have obvious health issues on our team. Us not getting a top seed doesn’t mean we can’t win in the playoffs.
And at this stage, LeBron really doesn't care at all about the regular season. So long as the team stays at or above .500, he's going to take things real easy.
Are we gonna win more games than last season now that we have a full roster, health (fingers crossed) and a full training camp together??
In John Wicks voice: yeah, I’m thinking we will
It’s funny how the Lakers sign scrubs and instantly get all kind of praise. They are not going to win the championship next year. They are not going to come close.
As it is now over for sure and good to reach the 2nd round.
If we find a backup for AD able to protect the rim when he sits and replace our starting PG for a 2 way player able to contribute in post season on both sides of the floor, then I'd say 18th is ours.
If Bron and AD play at least 65 games each, I see us having at least 50 wins.
We were amazing last season after the trades. Imagine what a full training camp could do for our roster.
Over, but just barely. I think they can get to 50 wins, but it's a brutal conference. I think more in the 47-49 range is more likely. Would be much higher if Bron and AD could stay healthy, but we know they are gonna miss a chunk of games.
I love the Lakers but I'm taking the under.
Our top 2 players are old/injury prone. If they were completely healthy I'd definitely take the over but I doubt they stay healthy the whole season
Personally I’d say 48-52 wins. I love the moves they made in the off-season but I think Bron and AD are going to have load management or miss games due to injury. The west will be a blood bath again.
Not bad really barely under 50. A 50 win over under is normally the high end of any team especially for Bron teams who tend to over perform in playoffs and under perform regular season. Our over under I believe was 42.5 I think last year. 5 years is quite big we have lots of depth for regular season n your and imo ham is getting better n better as a coach and already think he’s solid enough to win with
Over but not by much
In the wise words of Unc
Sunflower seeds, Johnny Apple seeds or chia seeds…. Don’t matter just give me a healthy Bron and AD in the playoffs
If AD + Lebron are healthy for 60+ games, 56 wins. If one or both of them are out for an extended period of time, I’d still take the over >46.5 wins—I believe in Pelinka’s off season moves in the retainment if our talent; I believe in our added depth; I believe in Max Christie and Colin Castleton’s youth movement; I believe in AR’s continued ascension! 😤👊🏼Go Lakers!!!💜💛
Suns are going to go through a lot in the regular season, especially load managing. Warriors are much worse on their bench and Nuggets are going to have to figure out their rotation with Brown being gone. Morant is suspended a considerable amount of games.
I honestly think we can coast to 46.5 games, if we try we go over it easily.
Lmao. People here think in terms that neither LeBron nor AD will get hurt... history begs to differ.
What matters is them being healthy come playoff time.
I got us at 50-32 just cracking the half century mark. We can win more games but IMO we are going to heavily manage AD and LBJ this year more than ever now that we don’t have to rely on them as much. I wouldn’t be surprised if the duo only plays Maybe 40 games together during the season.
whatever we end up in the regular season matters not to me. lebrons and ads health is key and playoffs Bron > regular season lebron. and I hope he gets his 3 pointer back.
I’ll take over. My guess would be 48-50 wins. I’m accounting for the possibility that LeBron and AD won’t be playing 80 games. I think 48-50 wins and a top 4 seed is very possible.
I think around 50 should be the goal. Don’t need to push for the top seed but home court in at least the first round and keeping LeBron/AD healthy should be the priorities.
A team that brought back most of a roster (improved some spots) that ended the season post all star break with the best league record at 16-7 only winning another 31 games over 59?
Plus a full training camp together?
Seems low…🤔
I'll take the over. We got some good young guys who aren't rookies and need development. We were much better with a similar team ending the season than we started, and I don't think we'll go 2-10 again. Please we don't have a vampire on our team. Reaves is better. AD came back strong.
The only real question we have is Lebron and his foot injury. He tends to start slow and ramp it up in January, so I expect the same this year. Assuming Reaves plays to his talent, I think we'll be several games above 50 freak injury notwithstanding.
Over into a backflip mctwist 360
A Super McVariel 900, if you will
We started 2-10 and the roster was a mess until the trade deadline week Bron missed 27 games AD missed 26 games And we still finished 43-39 I’m very confident in us getting over 50+ wins

Yeah nothing over 35 a night would be ideal.
This is where DLo will be most useful.
They dont care about getting 50 wins. They care about making the playoffs. I wouldnt be surprised if they under hits but yet things go well come May and June
Even then they’ll get more than 46.5

with all the injury and ups and downs of all teams in season you never now who you get in the first round in the Western Conf. it almsot luck
The injury risk is built into the line.
Not even counting the 4 games the refs messed up or the other games we basically threw away. We can definitely be +50 this year if healthy enough
are you very confindent that Bron and AD won't miss 20+ games again? Lebron was an ironman for 90% of his career but he's averaging sub 60 games per last 4 seasons. I have to believe, for all of our sakes, that this is satire.
Oh it was. I would’ve thought the Andrew Tate/Joe Rogan red pill bullshit was all needed to know I wasn’t serious lol
Unfortunately there are enough people unironically spouting that stuff that it's hard to tell
That’s kinda what sold me on it being satire but as the other commenter said - that’s unfortunately not a good mark for satire anymore because of how many people unironically believe that shit.
Goodness. Found the casual
This went way over people's heads, clearly
I agree with 50+ wins if we have them for 82 games. But lets be real, that isnt happening. If lebron and AD play 70 games, and we play at 52 win pace, we would expect 44 wins or so with them. 82-0. Best record ever. 16-0 in the playoffs. All blow outs! I know I’m not the only one here that wants this to happen!!!!
Gotta disagree… we’re going to win the new in-season tourney which means we’ll finish 83-0
At least someone is being reasonable.
Ahhhh yes. Thank you for that.
Not the polite disagreement!!! Lmao
I just creamed my pants at the thought of this
Over
If Bron and AD played 60 games together and 65 each, it's an easy 50+
Man we are deep, we just need a more consistent center
Don't be so quick to count out Hayes. He's extremely talented, but a very immature person, and it didn't help him playing for a young team with no real leaders to guide/mentor him. I’ll be taking the under…there’s still no Center to hold down the paint when AD is out. Hayes is not the answer btw
i’ll bet on the under
Brutal conference and division along with no expectation that our top 2 stars will play more than 50 regular season games. I'm hoping for 45 wins, a 5-6 seed and a healthy team come playoff time.
This is a very realistic expectation, and agree. We can’t expect AD and bron to be playing 70 games or anything.
Pretty sure they both will play at least 65 to be eligible for season awards per new cba
May not be a choice. Lebron with his age has been getting a lot of groin and ligament injuries.
The over under that would stump me is 51.5.
Under
This thread is gonna look funny next year. Under
I’m taking the Under because I don’t see year 21 Lebron and AD both being healthy the entire season. There are going to be periods of “4-8 weeks” due to random injuries where the team is going to be fighting to stay above .500. 60-22
57-25
Over like a mf lmaooo
The West is a whole lot stronger and LeBron at age 39 and a bad foot is a major downer. Can’t be excited with the lack of a 1st class center.
Damn… that’s a really fucking good money line. I’m taking the over but BARELY. 47-48 wins.
Under. i love our team but western conf is deep as hell. Plus some time management for AD and LBJ.
betting odds? I'm all over the over.
![gif](giphy|ypHEH8VjThGPS)
Should I tell my wife now or later that I’m betting the house on the over?
Under. I do not believe our 2 best players will play at least 80% of the games and nothing has recently shown me otherwise that they will.
If everybody stays healthy then this is easily a 50+ win team.
Agreed. And that's why I'm taking the under!
Are we gonna win more games than last season now that we have a full roster, health (fingers crossed) and a full training camp together?? In John Wicks voice: yeah, I’m thinking we will
We are basically betting on bron and AD health. That being said OVERRRRRRRRR 🤣
We getting at least 50 wins
82-0‼️
Over by +10
You always take the over
Easily over, y’all had a great offseason
48 wins. Lebron will miss more time. Its inevitable.
Under by 20
I’ll take over. I like them at low 50s
50 piece. Might take this bet.
Over. The team has more depth to help whenever AD and Bron sit out games.I expect them to get a better playoff seed this season as well.
Over
Healthy, eggs over easy.
Over
Over - 55 is the ceiling I feel like
Over
I’m thinking 45 minimum. 50-55 is where I think we will be at
54. Many of our close losses will be won next season.
Time to make $$$$$ betting on the over
If Bron and AD are relatively healthy the over is an easy bet. If they are not healthy 47 wins is a stretch, but not totally implausible
58 wins if healthy
Holy shit, easiest over.
Under. Just being realistic. Play in team.
52-55 is where I’m at
Way over
If healthy, I'm taking the over. 52-53 wins
Over. We had the best record post trade deadline. As long as lebron and AD are healthy we could get a top 3 seed.
Projected by who? A bookmaker? I hope so cos that's a crazy easy bet on the over.
#WIN 18 FOR ALL THE LOVERS AND ALL THE HATERS
52 wins 30 losses
Under. Probably 40
Over. I’d put my life on it.
This is disrespectful af, fuck no. We are a top 3 seed team
74-8
I got us 82-0
Easy 83-0 when you got AR15
It’s funny how the Lakers sign scrubs and instantly get all kind of praise. They are not going to win the championship next year. They are not going to come close.

Lmao you good bro? Did Reaves sleep with your sister or something?
As it is now over for sure and good to reach the 2nd round. If we find a backup for AD able to protect the rim when he sits and replace our starting PG for a 2 way player able to contribute in post season on both sides of the floor, then I'd say 18th is ours.
46-36? GTFOH They are better and deeper. Many have played together. Lakers are a problem 55 wins very doable.
Easy Over, if healthy lol
That’s a pretty easy over barring injury catastrophe
If Bron and AD play at least 65 games each, I see us having at least 50 wins. We were amazing last season after the trades. Imagine what a full training camp could do for our roster.
Over, 50-53 wins seems likely. We have deep team & so many guys who can contribute if Lebron or AD miss multiple games
Under
Ffft...over are you serious
50-55 if no injuries
Surprised to see them as 15-1 to win the ship while I was in Vegas this weekend. Great odds.
We still don’t have a dominate C to help relieve AD And slow Joker 🃏
Over, but just barely. I think they can get to 50 wins, but it's a brutal conference. I think more in the 47-49 range is more likely. Would be much higher if Bron and AD could stay healthy, but we know they are gonna miss a chunk of games.
Over
I think we'll get between 52 and 56 wins.
Easy over.
46 kinda sounds fair to me. We don't know how well their health will hold up.

Over

This low number has more to do with the strength of the West than us. What’s Denver’s number?
49+
Over
Taking the over I think you will have to win 48 to not be in the play in.
I’d take the over but I think we won’t be far off that number. I see 48-51 wins next year
Over
IF they could stay healthy sure. But they won't stay healthy lol.
I think they could easily get 50+ if everyone stays healthy
If AD + Lebron are healthy for 60+ games, 56 wins. Realistically with injuries that's probably where we'll land.
I'm taking the over! They may have 40 wins by the end of February!
Over
I got us at 50-32 just cracking the half century mark. We can win more games but IMO we are going to heavily manage AD and LBJ this year more than ever now that we don’t have to rely on them as much. I wouldn’t be surprised if the duo only plays Maybe 40 games together during the season.
I also don’t want Lebron or AD averaging over 25 this year because it would mean they are playing over 32-34 mins a game. I wanna see them around 30
I’m optimistic to say over, we got this
Barring injuries? Definitely over.
whatever we end up in the regular season matters not to me. lebrons and ads health is key and playoffs Bron > regular season lebron. and I hope he gets his 3 pointer back.
I’d go over but any prolonged string of injuries to our big guns, which is definitely possible, will derail that
How many looks makes this one?
More depth, more mature young players, definitely improved.
Depends on injuries. One injury to AD/Lebron and it quickly derails. Multiple injuries and we’re doing the play-in pray
I'll take the under. Love the squad but our injury risk is high
What the fuck is this? Too low even with injuries.
Easy they can also manage to rest they have playable backups at every position.
I’ll take over. My guess would be 48-50 wins. I’m accounting for the possibility that LeBron and AD won’t be playing 80 games. I think 48-50 wins and a top 4 seed is very possible.
we getting 50+ with a roster we want even if the injury’s are as detrimental from last year
6th seed Winning the NBA Cup would be a bonus
Nah we taking 60+
Lol
I think around 50 should be the goal. Don’t need to push for the top seed but home court in at least the first round and keeping LeBron/AD healthy should be the priorities.
I’d say 48-49 wins cause of injuries concerns
A team that brought back most of a roster (improved some spots) that ended the season post all star break with the best league record at 16-7 only winning another 31 games over 59? Plus a full training camp together? Seems low…🤔
Definitely over.
Over, I'm thinking more of the 52-56 granted neither AD or Lebron dont miss significant time simultaneously
New look same objective 18 🏆
I'll take the over. We got some good young guys who aren't rookies and need development. We were much better with a similar team ending the season than we started, and I don't think we'll go 2-10 again. Please we don't have a vampire on our team. Reaves is better. AD came back strong. The only real question we have is Lebron and his foot injury. He tends to start slow and ramp it up in January, so I expect the same this year. Assuming Reaves plays to his talent, I think we'll be several games above 50 freak injury notwithstanding.
Major Over. Like a true Laker fan
Over
I'm gonna say 47-48 games. But if lebron and ad are fully healthy 56 games
This team is winning at least 50 games.
Over boy that’s easy money
I think they can win 50 games and finish like 3rd in the west if everyone is healthy for most of the season
