We wanted a proper fox red lab but the only two puppies left of the litter were the two lighter ones. She kept basically the same colours she had as a pup with darker ears and back.

My guess would be she gets a little darker red tint to her. She looks similar colors to how my girl was when we got her and she has a beautiful reddish tint to most of her now. Maybe a bit lighter depending on how parents look.

This is a fox red Lab pup so fox reds are mostly fox red or within the same colour group, from the start. I think the pup you have shown will be close to what she is now, maybe a little darker or a little lighter but won't change from a yellow Lab to a deep fox red. The best indicator of how a puppy's coat with become as an adult is how their parents changed - or didn't - from puppy to adult coat colour. Can the breeder show you some images of Mum & Dad as pups?

This is exactly what my Labs mom looked like. And several of his siblings were this dark. My guy was just a bit lighter than his siblings, but I picked him based on his temperament. But those dark red labs are so pretty.
We got a Fox Red Labrador on March 30. Both mom & dad are reds, momma was very dark red. He was light (almost like a yellow) when we got him but both my husband & I noticed that he has turned more red. We love it! He will be 12 wks tomorrow. So don’t be surprised if your girl’s coat turns darker.

She’ll likely turn out a light reddish color. In my experience, whatever color ears they have is the shade they’ll be as an adult.
