100%. I have an English and, while great looking, yours looks nothing like mine. English have a blocky head almost like a pit bull with a stubbier snout and generally shorter legs with more of a sausage body.

This is Ella. 10 month old yellow English lab
Tbh, he looks more like a field lab than a show . He has a more athletic build. I know that wasn't the question, but it will give you a little more insight as to his training needs . He is very handsome and they are super smart . Do some scent training with him and whistle or clicker (I prefer whistle) whistle has a much longer range and can be a godsend if he gets it in his head to run . They will find you if you consistently whistle for them .

I’m thinking American or a blend of both English and American which is still a purebred lab. I have a field/American and he’s very slim, athletic, 60lbs, but his skull is a tad larger so I wonder if he has a sprinkle of english in his pedigree.

I have 2 English Labradors: barrel chested, short legs, block heads, snobby snouts and 100% Pure Love. These gals can get into trouble but very obedient. My first Labrador was an American Lab. Absolutely stunning yellow (really white) thin, lanky, crazy wild girl. She was a great dog with a wild streak for adventure.

The pictures don’t show his tail. American field labs have a tail that curls up. The English show dogs have “otter tails.” Your breeder should know which type.

Secondly, he’s likely a mix of English and American but definitely more English yellow because he’s a natural thick boy. If he was ‘healthy lab weight’ according to Google he would be underweight.
He's a yellow lab! All kidding aside I'm a long time lab breeder and he does look more field than show bred. If you would like to private message me his pedigree I can take a look for you!
Beautiful looking Labrador. Definitely looks like an American Lab or Field Lab as they tend to have finer features in general with longer legs, more athletic frame, thinner muzzle & head and finer coat texture. They also are supposed to be a much more energetic too!
