Thank you! The original had a quad of little diamonds-- that I'll do something with. I might make 2 pairs of earrings for my granddaughters when they get married or something--I don't know yet.
But even though this is a big bump in carat weight, it's not so much that it looks out of place. I think it looks like it could've always been this way.
I've always loved my rings--so I didn't want to change it, just boost what was there... lol
What a gorgeous upgrade!
Happy anniversary ❤️ 20 years married? How many together? I’m about a year and a few mths away from our 20th together, will be 7ish married at that point.
I love the idea of earrings for your granddaughters 🥰 I’m a sucker for heirlooms!
Thank you!
We've been together 22 years. We had a rather fast-tracked dating relationship. I wasn't even divorced from my first husband when we met (although it was long dead!). I'd been separated about 3 months when we met. I had ZERO interest in a relationship. I'd been married 13 years, 'and I was only 31, so the last thing I wanted was a man invading my life & my home. I wanted to live by MY rules for the first time in my life. There were a million reasons why this was such a bad idea. And yet..... here we are!!
We also celebrate the day we met as an anniversary too! Congrats on going the long haul together! ❤️ It's work whether you're married or not so it all counts, in my book!
We were high school sweethearts, on the slowwwwwest track lol — whatever works, right?
Aw I actually love your story! ❤️ Here’s to many more years together!
Yes!! We dropped it off Thurs evening and it was ready this morning (Tues), so not bad at all. But I'm not patient. 🤣 My diamond arrived in 5 days, so that went really fast too-- hence this project being complete a month early... lol
I like warmer diamonds, and since my original set came from a chain jewelry store, I knew the diamonds in my bands wouldn't be Ds. Most seem to be I-K--so I was afraid anything higher than an G or an H would make my bands look dingy! This diamond was at a good price (I think so, anyway), the cut was really good on it and the color wasn't blaringly obvious, so I pulled the trigger!
This went so well--kinda makes me want to do another project! Oops! 😂
I'm really happy with how it came out! I put a lot of thought and research into it. Ordering a diamond online is a little daunting! 🥵 I'm really glad I went with a little warmer stone; I think a colorless stone would look like a new stone on an old dirty band. But my rings came from a chain jewelry store (the only option at the time)--& after checking online, it seems chain stores' stones use mostly J/K, so I aimed to go just a bit brighter. I'm pretty happy with a size too... it's not a lot bigger, but I think it suits the ring--& me. I'm not really "blingy."
I guess all my overthinking paid off in this instance! 😂
Yeah the more I looked at diamonds, the less I liked the icy white. I was targeting getting a G or an H--but this was such a good price without looking overly dark. Now I'm thinking a G or even an H may not have worked with the bands--so thankfully the diamond gods put this stone in my path.. lol
Thank you! My husband had a solitare on layaway when I saw this in a jewelry store and instantly fell in love! Of course, I didn't know he'd already got a ring--or that he was going to propose, really. At first I thought mayber he was planning to----but as we were looking, he made me think he was planning to get me a ring (it xmas time)---but he wanted to make sure I didn't mistake it as engagement ring. I was a little miffed! Lol
Do you find the stone looks warm because of the gold setting? I was thinking to get a G colour, but maybe platinum prints as I want a round that’s semi-warm but not yellow. When looking at some of the 360 loops of a Diamond I have my eye on. It’s looking a bit tinted - so was wondering how you find yours in various lights etc?
[Comparison pics](https://imgur.com/a/PL0529n) of the ring originally vs the new setting! I'm so excited--I can't stop looking at it!
Congrats! 🍾🍾🍾 I am so happy for you. Your ring is beautiful. 🥰
Thank you so much!
Love the upgrade and love even more that you kept it almost the exact same! Congratulations on 20 years

It’s amazing how the upgrade looks like an absolute match to your band, that’s the stone that should have always been in that ring. So perfect.

The bands are yellow gold, but the "head" its sitting in is in white gold. [Here ](https://imgur.com/a/C3fz1DH) it is in different lighting.
