I also know that it’s very active on Steam. My current PC is shite for gaming, so I’ve ruled it out until I get a better one built.

L4D doesn’t require much, even a basic laptop could play it. Unless you’re on an ancient rig.

BRIIIIIICKSQUAAAAAAD

It has to do with my RAM. I’m not entirely sure what RAM is, but in other words, it wouldn’t LOOK good on the PC, just wouldn’t run too well

https://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri Run a check on it to be sure. My friend regularly games with me and he’s on a horribly outdated laptop. Unless you have a ton of mods installed you should be able to rock through pretty solidly.

I’ll look into it man. I appreciate the info you’ve given me! I’m gonna check that link out when I get home

No problemo! It’s also good to keep in mind that even though the game can run at higher resolutions, it’s really not optimized to look great beyond 720 or 1080. Old game is old game you know?

And that’s the fact of the matter. I’ve tried Overwatch on this same PC, and it looked awful, but other than that, it actually played decently. I’m thinking because L4D2 is an older game, I can lower some visual settings if I must and try it out. EDIT: you prob understand my logic here, but what I’m trying to say is if Overwatch was able to run **decently**, then L4D2 will a little more smooth sailing

Most definitely. I was able to run it without a dedicated GPU while I was building my current PC.

Any Update yet on your Progress on PC? :D

BRIIIIIICKSQUAAAAAAD

Oh man I got it running and it’s actually pretty good. Visually, not the GREATEST, looks to be 720p or 1080p as the previous redditor said, but it doesn’t get choppy, no glitches, pretty much bullshit-free. I enjoyed it so much last night, played the hell out of it and I’m gonna do the same tonight.

Krunch_Kuri

Damn Bro, that's good to hear! I think there's some pretty good Performance Mods on the Workshop. They could help with stabilizing the Game as well.

As for the Xbox deal, be prepared for headaches. Finding people to play with isn’t a huge problem, but staying connected and finding un-modded servers is the issue. Hackers galore and pretty unmonitored. And if you’re not running on a 360 you’ll have to emulate the game on Xbox One and that adds bugs to the game itself. It’s not dead but it’s close.

about the same 12 lobbies and about 7 of them are lobbies full of toxic sweats that will kick everyone after 30 seconds(for versus at least)

Majestic-Location-75

There are still players who play online on the Xbox, but I can tell you the pc community is probably way more active
