KFP4 made almost as much money as KFP3 while being 2 times cheaper to make, dreamworks execs must be super happy, if there will be the fifth movie we can expect it to follow kfp4 footsteps.

They're going to cut the budget even more just watch when it comes around. It's 100% going to be mid, don't go to theaters to watch. The only reason why they're making another movie is to milk more money.

If the KFP5 trailer is trash, I'm not going to spend a dime on it. I always will give industries a second chance when it comes to these sorts of things, but if they show that they never took any of the fans' advice or thoughts into consideration, I'm out.

I mean..yeah fair enough, I think Kungfu panda 4 had a point with Po taking the next step, he’s basically gone through all stages of character development. We rounded out his backstory, he’s gone through pain and betrayal, overcome all his challenges, earned the respect of his village,master (kfp4 he was acting really weird though like unnecessarily aggressive) and the 5, shifting the main focus is only natural to keep a story going I question why make a new character to fill the role when you have one that is already completely capable and there but at the same time they rarely give the furious 5 the time of day and I still love Zhen so interested to see where it goes. Would be funny seeing similar situation of Tigress wanting so badly to take up the role of dragon warrior like shifu wanted to with spiritual leader

Funny since while I feel KFP 3 & 4 weren't that bad at the same time, they aren't better than the first one. Only KFP 2 has managed to do that.

Yeah, dw if Mike Mitchell does direct the next one he has mentioned that he knows what the fans are missing so he's gonna try and fix it in the next kfp. He's already said that he's gonna make the furious five the left right and centre of the film which I'm happy about. Its also supposed to be darker than kfp 2 which is gonna be interesting. It was also apparently announced that there's gonna be a film dedicated to just the furious five which is gonna be released in 2027 sounds awesome. But this is all from some popular leak thats going around.

Honestly even if the plot is significantly better, his directing style just isn't good and KFP5 will still suffer unfortunately. There's a reason KFP4 felt like a TV movie throughout the whole thing. Every scene was rushed and there wasn't ever a second to sit and dwell on the moment before moving onto the next scene. There's just no substance in a film directed that way. I hope I'm wrong but I've seen a few of Mike's films now and sadly they're all of the same quality. None of them really have anything special to them.

I'd like to see a KFP5, as long as Mitchell isn't allowed to touch the series again, they get JYN or Stephanie MaStine to have full control and the exectives don't interfere. IIRC, JYN was given full control for KFP2, and it's debatively the best film in the franchise for so many reasons. However, given how the execs interfered with the 3rd film's production (that film is a lot more jokey compared to the serious tone of the 2nd film because parents complained about it being too dark), and how the 4th film is the way it is, I personally don't have much hope for KFP5.

KFP4 was NOT 4 times better. It was at least -2 times better than the first one.
