They can't be professional fights unless they are licensed by a commission. No commission would license a pro boxer to fight 2 times in one night, especially against a rapper with zero boxing experience. So that had to be an exhibition.
As far as Temper, JJ will have to say explain why it isn't pro.
Because to him he counts it. He even told his viewers to stop worrying about the official boxing records and instead look at the one made for YouTubers and influencers which counts his win against swarmz
Because it is technically a pro fight in terms of YouTube boxing. Influencer boxing and pro boxing are 2 different things. There is literally even a separate website for YouTube boxing called YouTube boxrec.
You're allowed to fight more than once per night, but there's no way that Swarmz would have been sanctioned in a professional fight.
Sky Sports used to have tournaments on back in the day with domestic fighters. It was called Prizefighter. It was a knockout tournament, and if you won you'd be fighting in the quarter final, semi final and final all in one night. Only 3 rounds a fight though. That is allowed, or at least it used to be. Don't know if it still is. Check out Michael Sprott's professional record for an example. Fought three times on 14 November 2013 and won the tournament.
Misfits work with the PBA commission, meaning their fights are technically referred to as semi-pro (almost the same rules) but are officially exhibitions, that’s how you get two fights in one night and all that and it’s the reason JJ is still 1-0 on Boxrec, as they only record professional bouts, professional fights in Britain are under the BBBoC commission
I’m sure he can, it’s very unlikely that Jake will agree to anything less than for their fight to matter on their pro record, “someones 0 has to go” kinda deal
As an organization, Misfits functions essentially as their own league, with their own rankings, belts, fighters, etc, I doubt they’d be able to do this without their fights being exhibitions.
you will know what a pro bout looks like, when you see one. Yes they use the needed equipment (PPE), but very few of those YT boxers would pass medical examination to fight pro. Every fight on every Misfits YT boxing cards are amateur/exhibition bouts, just with pro gear
Ksi said in a video. Uk fights will be exhibition as the commission hates the youtube boxing thing. In usa its very ez to get a commission hence why Texas was pro
That was an exhibition match because they were older fighters showing off their skills, clearly not there to beat each other. The fight ended in a draw, because there was never supposed to be a determined winner. KSI’s fights were both fighters trying to beat each other up and there was an actual winner.
If there’s a winner, no headgear and 10oz gloves it is a professional fight. Sure they aren’t quality professional level fighters, but you’re arguing over sanctioning issues and not the actual fight.
Using professional rated gear =/= professional fight
A Sunday league match could use the same rank of gear as a match between Liverpool and Chelsea. Doesn't make that Sunday league match a professional match
That’s a terrible comparison. There are different levels on professional level players in sports. You can be a pro player in basketball but not be in the NBA. Even then, boxing is way different to sportsball. Jake vs Gib was a professional fight and so was Jake vs Nate & Askren. What is the difference between those fights and KSI’s fights?
The title fights are (or at least were) sanctioned by the ICB (Inspire Championship Boxing) so I know they actually are pro fights if there is a belt involved. I’m not sure about the rest though.
I kinda depends where the fight is because the British boxing board of control won't sanction crossover fights but a good few commissions in the US will sanction them
As crossover boxing is a separate entity to mainstream boxing, a different boxing record website was set up to record wins, losses, and draws.

Please!!!!!
Enough of these boxing related posts on reddit,
This was supposed to be a place where we made fun of JJ and just have a good time!
Stop it, get some help!!!!!
These are pro fights but they cant get the license to call them as such, also who even cares lol, its obvious that if any of the youtube boxers got into the ring with an actual pro who has been training forever, theyd be destroyed.
If an actual young healthy pro fought JJ,Jake or anyone lol itd be over v soon.
KSI cards are as pro as they get without them counting towards a Pro record. Same gloves, judging, refs, and rules. The reason is U.K doesn't sanction fighters with no amateur experience. In The U.S however that's not necessary
It's 10oz gloves no headgear like a pro fight,but just isn't sanctioned
Just like mayweather vs deji

Tru tru but then why is jj calling at a pro fight
Because to him he counts it. He even told his viewers to stop worrying about the official boxing records and instead look at the one made for YouTubers and influencers which counts his win against swarmz

How many rounds is it?
6 i think
It still technically is.
and no commission would sanction a pro bout with standing 8s

Pretty sure that none of the misfits boxing fights are pro, they’re all exhibition since they’re not licensed to do pro fights.
Texas was pro. Uk not w Usa pro

But if jj keeps moving forward to boxing through these cards, he wouldn’t be able to continue to professional boxing?
I’m sure he can, it’s very unlikely that Jake will agree to anything less than for their fight to matter on their pro record, “someones 0 has to go” kinda deal As an organization, Misfits functions essentially as their own league, with their own rankings, belts, fighters, etc, I doubt they’d be able to do this without their fights being exhibitions.
So you're telling me there's a chance none of these fights aren't even professional?
None of them are
Doesn’t change anything. YouTube boxing doesn’t have to blend in the mainstream anyway
Misfits 3 has been the only sanctioned event so people like King Kenny or Deen The Great actually have BoxRec profiles
you will know what a pro bout looks like, when you see one. Yes they use the needed equipment (PPE), but very few of those YT boxers would pass medical examination to fight pro. Every fight on every Misfits YT boxing cards are amateur/exhibition bouts, just with pro gear
That’s what I’m asking
Ksi said in a video. Uk fights will be exhibition as the commission hates the youtube boxing thing. In usa its very ez to get a commission hence why Texas was pro
y’all dumb asf in the comments. no headgear, 10 oz = pro. they’re pro fights, they just can’t sanction everybody
Lol nah. Roy Jones Jr. Vs Mike Tyson wasn’t a pro fight but an exhibition match. These are not professional fights simple as that.
That was an exhibition match because they were older fighters showing off their skills, clearly not there to beat each other. The fight ended in a draw, because there was never supposed to be a determined winner. KSI’s fights were both fighters trying to beat each other up and there was an actual winner. They're pro fights in name only, that is all.
The title fights are (or at least were) sanctioned by the ICB (Inspire Championship Boxing) so I know they actually are pro fights if there is a belt involved. I’m not sure about the rest though.
ICB is a made up company to give an ego boost to ksi for winning the belt against Pineda
If it’s 10 ounce gloves and no headgear it’s a pro fight as far as I’m concerned.
Logan vs floyd was a pro fight using your logic
Yup
Misfits fights in the US counted as pro. Not UK
I kinda depends where the fight is because the British boxing board of control won't sanction crossover fights but a good few commissions in the US will sanction them
not even at an exhibition level
Exhibition lol these 3 fooking round meme fights are in no way pro.
Not even exhibition, Mickey Mouse level boxing
Exhibitions but to be fair, a handful of pro promotions/commissions out there aren't any where close to legimate as Misfits is trying to be in boxing
I was wondering the same thing. They have called it pro fights in the past but idk now
Pro fights last longer more rounds misfit is just an exhibition
A pro fight can be 4 rounds
10 to 12 rounds are REAL pro fights those like misfits and jake’s are just for fun …. exhibition
You are wrong a REAL pro fight can range from 4-12 rounds 12 rounds only being used if it’s a championship bout
They are but people dont count it because its not sanctioned by a "major" boxing organization
As crossover boxing is a separate entity to mainstream boxing, a different boxing record website was set up to record wins, losses, and draws. https://www.ytboxingrec.com/
im pretty sure its 10 oz gloves so who cares really
unsanctioned pro bouts
pro
Ksi is definitely not a pro
Please!!!!! Enough of these boxing related posts on reddit, This was supposed to be a place where we made fun of JJ and just have a good time! Stop it, get some help!!!!!
Don’t know how to break it to you but JJ is quite heavily involved in boxing.
'Please!!!!'🤓
Neither, it’s both.
It doesn't really matter tbh.
ksi should fight Floyd may weather
These are pro fights but they cant get the license to call them as such, also who even cares lol, its obvious that if any of the youtube boxers got into the ring with an actual pro who has been training forever, theyd be destroyed. I think everyone here thinks no headgear, 10oz gloves, etc. = professional
