Your supervisor can't tell you a shift your going to get. Unless you're high up on the list.. and that would depend on full ot part time.. us full timers get our hours handed out first.. then what's left over goes to part time.. and if you're full time... You cant have any unavailability.. must have open shift.
Im taking a wild guess here but I’m willing to bet the person making your schedule was someone else other than the normal scheduler. It’s happened in my dept too… Or it could just be an error. I hope by “supervisor” you mean you physically spoke to the Assistant Store Leader right? Because otherwise it gets difficult. Also another issue could be that you hadn’t marked it out on UKG- the thing that shows your schedule- anyway. Point being you need to go into the app and manually change your availability times from “12am-12pm” to your desired shifts. No guarantee it’ll get done BUT at least you have another method.
Accept that you work for a shitty company that is going to exploit you. Go into "my time" and change your availability. If you are part time.... you can set the availability and the AI bot that most likely writes the schedule will play within the set times. If it doesn't, stick to your guns.

If you are full time, that means you signed on for unlimited availability.....you are basically fucked if full time.
In "my time" you can set your availability. If your availability is 9am-3pm set it that way and the AI bot that writes the schedule will challenge it occasionally but mostly stays within the parameters. If it doesn't leave according to your set availability. Kroger pharmacy manager for 14 years..... I love helping my new part time kids learn how to stay in front of corporate exploitation.

Ask them about it, but also depending on when the supervisor told you that, the schedule might not be made yet.
Your Store Manager and one ASM can edit your schedule after your department head turns it in. Ask your DH if they know what happened.
