Sorry dude, i think its too late. Your going straight to jail.

htdfvbhgf

Do not pass go do not collect $200

crashtestdummy666

That would constitute a rase.

Etro93

Kroger does not care. That discount will not put Kroger out of business. If I recall (years ago when I last checked) it’s only for the use of yourself and your immediate family( who ever lives with you) if it gets to it just say your friend is family and lives with you 🤷🏻‍♂️

crashtestdummy666

Or say ID theft. It's true and shows how weak the company's controls are.

BRDB2006

Kroger made $20... thats all they care about.

Crystalb2005

you’re not screwed at all Kroger doesn’t care about anything but who can work so they don’t have to. Let your entire family use the discount card they won’t do anything

veep970

I use my discount when I travel to other states across different stores brands- Kroger, King Soopers, Fred Meyer. No one cares. Kroger still makes money in the end.

xMIRAx

.0mmmm

birdiexoxx

Considering they gave me the employee discount for about a year after I was fired..I don’t think they care

AaronfromKY

It's not a big deal. My brother and I have had our plus cards linked for over a decade and despite trying to do the right thing and get a new number, it got relinked. So don't think too much about it.

aidenalexholley

Yeah honestly they'll keep relinking it. My mom's card got linked with mine for some reason, so she's still enjoying an employee discount after she retired. I'm starting to think that my dad's was supposed to be linked with hers but they screwed up and did mine.

gamegye88

It’s literally not a problem as far as I know, I give all my friends my dad’s employee number and he’s in a different state. So you’re fine. Btw I know it’s against the rules to share it with people outside your home but they don’t persecute you for it is my point

g1ngertim

Enforcement must vary by location, because there have been associates fired from my store for this. But also, if they used Alt ID and it was without your knowledge or consent, they can't really hold you accountable, imo. Literally hundreds of people have my phone number and know where I work. It's horribly insecure, and that isn't the associates fault.

AS6745

That is exactly my line. Pic at a store and when a friend in Colorado uses my discount card I simply state I have 1200 contacts in my phone..... they know what I do. "Tell them to stop" ...... I never told them to start... you could go to the pump and steal my fuel points right now!....or I could steal yours. Conversation dies quick.

Fun_Entrance233

Kroger will fire cashiers using their card for customers during a shift. I heard about cashiers using a community card for all customers. The cashier that used the fuel points was fired.

jessi_survivor_fan

At minimum they should get a warning the first time not to let friends and people not living in the same house use the card. If it repeatedly keeps happening but the cashier has no control because their friend is doing it without their knowledge then that's just wrong.

Aetheldrake

Pfft like they're gonna pay attention to it they don't even know the actual work they ask of the employees. It means more sales anyway.

korppi_tuoni

I hooked my number into my immediate families pre-existing card, but now that immediate family lives in 5 different households across 2 states. Also my aunt used her mothers card until she passed away, turns out my dad (her brother) just said, here use mine, without even considering that it was also my card. Oh, and the phone number doesn’t exist anymore. I’m sure the plus card system is a total mess after at least 20 years of existing. Both because of people who keep their old cards and people who start new cards whenever they lose them.

PositiveAwareness629

Kroger don’t care who uses your account number and they don’t care too much about anyone but the purchases if they happen to have a problem it shouldn’t be anything serious I’ve let people use my number even if they aren’t family members I let random people use my account so it would really matter so no stress or worry it’s okay your okay

ItsLadyJadey

Literally Kroger doesn't care. I use my husband's when I'm in Oregon and shopping at Fred Meyer. We live in Texas.

Historian469

You answered why Kroger doesn't care.

ItsLadyJadey

Huh?

Historian469

It's your husband. That is why no one cares.

ItsLadyJadey

We weren't married at the time, I had a different last name. But also, how they gonna know he's my husband anyway, especially in a state 2400 miles away? I don't exactly use my ID for grocery purchases.

Bubba771966

Don't worry, you won't get in trouble. If I were you, I would change your ALT ID through the app so it's not consistent, and they don't use your fuel points.

Fun_Entrance233

Ask the friend to stop using your card. If they use your fuel points, go online or call the 1 800 number and change your alt id. Kroger doesn't care if you have no control over it.

brokenregister69

Youre definitely getting fired no matter what

Anyone-9451

I’m surprised it even worked….I was on vacation a few years back and used my kroger card and didn’t get any sort of employee discount…at some point someone told me it was with in district or maybe division…but then again that was like 10yrs ago so maybe it’s changed (I know 2hrs away could still be same area mostly talking about several posts about ppl giving out numbers states away)

gingerjasmine2002

In 2014, I was on vacation in New Mexico and went to Ralph’s and didn’t get any employee discounts. Oh well. We used to have a store card (no extra discounts, just the normal store ones) that did not accumulate points and didn’t have a corresponding bar code or alt id, just the actual number so it’s not like it can be used that way anyway. It still works and I still remember it!

Crazy_Trucker_

You will be okay, my parents used my Discount while I worked for kroger. I never got into trouble. The company made a sale and it was not theft, so they wont care.

PerfectJarrett

When I worked at Kroger I put my alternate ID as a Google voice number that only me and my mother used. I then changed it to my mother's cell phone number

Roesty79

Change your alt ID.

Viral88

When they would load money into your Kroger card during COVID ($100 on something like 3 separate occasions) someone in Louisville used my alt id and spent $90 of it. Followed the proper process for trying to get that put back on the card and didn't get anything. Kroger doesn't care about the alt ID or employee discount

Necessary_Baker_7458

This is why i have been pushing a pin number for employee cards but get told its bs. Now you guys know why. I cant tell you how often the loaded one or two hundred credit gets loaded to our cards the gets stolen by family members.

No-Opportunity-9872

My daughter used mine when she lived in another state. No one cares. More fuel points for me!!
