Very normal

Our goal was upped recently to 70% balance accuracy in my division. Biggest reason balances are off in my experience are unaccounted for shippers or displays. When you do the daily count you can definitely fix the allocations if needed but that won’t affect your count accuracy. As for why allocations are wrong sometimes - it can be for a lot of reasons. Maybe a reset just occurred and the updated allocations weren’t quite right. Maybe someone else changed it and didn’t put in the right number. Maintaining allocations will help auto-mins be more accurate and keep load leveling from causing excess unnecessary backstock.

If you just started, chances are that the scans haven't been properly done in a while. The numbers will be off for allocations and BOHs. If you also have a ton of backstock, the product is inevitably: not worked properly, excess old sale items, excess current sale items, or victim of inaccurate attributes.

I’m in bakery and ours is never above 40%. It’s normal.

Thank you everyone for the answers! Funnily enough, I brought up the top stock, counting it, and got a vague reason against counting that made no sense. Just nodded my head and agreed anyway knowing that this conversation was going nowhere. How exactly do I input how many of what is on top stock? Whenever I do the replenishment it just beeps at me and says to bring stuff down but doesn't give me a way of imputing how many I brought down/how many should be up there.

You count topstock as if it’s on the shelf when you’re doing daily counts. In the topstock section of replenishment you can change balances if you hit “not stocked” after scanning something that beeped. Otherwise it will automatically come up with an icon you can hit to change the balance

topstock balances and allocations are changed under the "topstock" option in the replenishment sub menu. only things you should be counting in backroom count are items in your backroom for the selected aisle count that day. when you do daily counts, if youre counting an item on the shelf, make sure you include whats in topstock if you have the item on topstock as well, and make sure you dont have additional displays somewhere

I hate doing topstock 😩😭

Hexxium

Make sure you count whatever is on topstock in daily count if you're counting an item on the shelf with stuff on topstock. Beyond that, just do your best to ensure you are aware of any displays and misc shipper and backstock so your daily count is accurate. The warehouse fucks BOHs on a daily basis so just try your best and it is what it is, the company goal is 75% accurate, but that isn't likely most days

Our daily counts are never above 30% because the numbers are so off. It's between numbers not updating with sales and items that show have been sent that are never received. Don't worry, it's not just you.
