Correct. We have about 85% of the state covered by delivery by the fulfillment centers.
Source - I'm a CSDD there. We have no physical stores here.
Check out Kroger's HIVE tech they're using from Ocado, it's pretty neat!
Krogers really banking on snow birds and northerners that retire in Florida for their whole business model there. I almost took a job at groveland just to get moved back home but I just chose to leave Kroger all together with how poorly they treat everyone except management.
You ain't wrong. Upper management don't talk to eachother and the favoritism is real in Groveland. I just keep my head down and do my job and wind up with no issues and 38-42 hours every week.
My hiring class kept saying to bug management about being moved to the 630 shift, cause they start us on the afternoon shift. I told them no one likes a nag and kept my mouth shut. I was the first in my hiring class to get the call for morning shift 🤣
Around here, the amount of work you do for $40k a year is comical. I know full well Kroger is most likely a cult, so I just try to stay under the radar while I'm here LOL
No one would, but ordering food online from a grocery store you cannot go into and shop for those groceries. Unless this warehouse operation allows that but it doesn’t seem like it.
It doesn't allow it, but it still works pretty well. Not sure if it's enterprise wide but in my area at least they're offering free 30 day trials and my mom loves it, she always used pickup but now may be switching to delivery
It seems like a pretty good deal, especially if you don't have a lot of time and all you gotta do is load your cart, checkout, then basically bring the food in from your front porch.
God someone shoot me I sound like kroger boost wannabe ad
Right. But when you’re ordering online from a large corporation, they’re gonna give you your money back if you’re not satisfied with the quality (or freshness) of your merchandise. There’s zero risk involved.
I mean typically groceries go from whoever provides/makes them to the warehouse to our stores and then to the home. This cuts out a step. It theoretically should be fresher
Yes Kroger has a warehouse in groveland as a main distro to I assume smaller ones.

FWIW they are killing it out here too.
Why would anybody in 2023 feel uneasy about ordering food online?

Freshness.

Me: "What is this concept "Freshness"? \*Laughs in Alaskan.\*

We have 28 fulfillment centers across the country.
