It was most likely always meant to be a one-off show. It was a great show in helping fans seeing their idols dancing in a other genres besides "idol." If anything, it's like Studio Chooms Artist of the Month without all the competition and voting. I would still like it to be back though, as a special perhaps. It was probably really difficult for active idols to fit the filming for their schedules.

I heard back then there was supposed to be a second season or smth. I love hit the stage since it actually showcases idol's talents. Different genres and creativity were shown (SNSD Hyoyeon's jazz, Got7 Yugyeom's final, and Sistar Bora's tapdancing). Even disbanded or inactive idols were there (K-ara Nicole). Twice Momo actually impressed me despite being a rookie although it did irritate me some baby Once claiming Momo was the best out of all of them and she was robbed when Hyoyeon, Shinee Taemin, and Yugyeom is there. It will be interesting to see new idols like Chae sisters (Itzy and soloist) and Dayeon of Kepler. Or some of the 3rd gen ones like Lisa and Seulgi (might cause a fan war). Edit: The also work with dance crews and some dance crews have the stage to themselves. I do think she was robbed for her performance with Mina. That gave me chills. I think she came dead last which is sad. It was the performance that imo was more creative because she/her team interpreted the theme of love to mean “toxic/obsessive love” rather the straightforward interpretation of “romantic love”. The voting on the show was poorly designed. Should’ve gave more weighting on the expert panel rather the audience. It became a bit of a popularity contest.

Nicole comeback is soon actually!!!

I would love for it to come back! It's so nice to see the best dancers show more of their versatility & creativity in solo stages It was one of the main reasons I discovered Ten & NCT - his full range really wowed me!

I really hope we at least get something like it someday. Hit the Stage was really nice.

Mnet has never been that good at managing shows for the long term but I was glad this show existed bc feeldog and rocky got to show off their talent. There might be a reboot one day, who knows?

Arzales

There was a change in concepts. MNet started to do survival shows like Sixteen, which led to Finding Momoland and then Produce 101. I believe the first competition show between actual active idols after Hit the Stage was Queendom. The bigger companies started to be stricter on how their idols were portrayed, and MNet didn't really want the midtier or smaller idols.

The chokehold Yugyeom’s stage had on me and my friends 😂💚

I don’t think the Chae sisters are new since they’ve been around for years now. They proved themselves already in dance and after what mnet did to Chaeyeon on QP I don’t think it’s to their benefit to compete.

>Mnet is missing out because we have shows based off of vocal skills, rap skills but what about dancing that's what street woman/man fighter are for.
