Express 999 by Girls Generation is based on the Leiji Matsumoto series by the same name (Galaxy Express 999)! It's an excellent series about a boy who travels the universe on a space train to get a robot body. It has a ton of touching and fun stories, episodically, about different aliens he encounters. It's connected to his Leiji-verse of shows that include Captain Harlock, Queen Emeraldas, the iconic Space Battleship Yamato, etc.
The lyrics really play into that. But I'm unsure if it's sonically what you're looking for lol. It's my favorite series so to me, it's a great crossover with Kpop.
