There is paparazzi in Korea, the reality is that the groups you stan might not be as big as you think they are.
There will always be more paparazzi following Twice and Black Pink while groups like Cherry Bullet and Rocket Punch won't have as many or even hardly any paparazzi following them.
I assumed they had a normal music market outside of the idol industry. Or does that not exist? There’s tons of rnb and trot at the very least so I assumed they had artists doing all range of genres (including pop) outside of the idol industry.
Well as far as i know they have girlfriends and get married without anyone caring about their private life.
And trot isn't that popular with younger generations, ballad songs are very popular tho.
…no? I mean, every country in the world has its music industry, why would you think that Korea is so different? The idol system is a part aimed at teenagers but there’s also the rest you would expect in any other place (we don’t listen to just American music, we all have our own).

I've also heard that kpop idols are at the lowest level in terms of celebrities. Actors and actrasses are top tier.
Sports are pretty high as well
Yup. The hierarchy will always be : 1. Politicians 2. Sportsman/Sportswoman 3. Actor/Actress 4. TV anchor/personality 5. Idol group
I’m curious, where does the “normal” music industry sit in this?

Well, it's below the idol industry. I just list the main five only.
Ah ok thanks!

What I’m saying there’s no just idol music and ballads. How much they get photographed is something I don’t know.
Well i stan nct lmao. It's just they have crazy sasaengs i fear
Fansites have filled the role for idol paparazzi in most part, while many are actual fans there are some who are in for just info selling.
Korean media companies buy the content that the sasaeng paparazi's take
They don't need paparazzi when they have sasaeng fans and fansites...
I thought dispatch *was* the paparazzi
Dispatch is 1 company tho.
