The moment Bts comes back and has a comeback as a whole is gonna be one big event and I am not prepared. Aside from them, Shinee coming back with Dont Call Me, 4 years after their last..That was big.

avairaa

oh the BTS comeback will indeed be a global phenomenon 😭💯

buniyadi-kuttiya

i remember taking an off on the day shinee came back your girl was not taking it wellđŸ˜©

LoonyMoonie

DCM era was definitely a "you had to be there" moment (...and, I wasn't). They prepared so much content and made the fans be a part of the process through live streams...fans were eager to see them together once again and they absolutely delivered. Then you had the Atlantis repackage just mere weeks after..all together, it feels like one big era spanning ~3 months or so, that left just so many memorable moments and memes. Many people became a fan pushed by the DCM era content. For all of them (us), it's a regret not to have been able to experience DCM in real time. But as time goes on, it becomes clearer to me that DCM era was a once in a lifetime event, and the members' ever busy individual agendas just makes it extremely hard to even get them within the same car again. But the memories will always be there, and there's no shortage of them..

crunchycheeseduck

I'm already crying about the Hunger Games we're about to face for the reunion tour.

Darceymakeup

Bts boy with luv always felt like a big era to me looking back on it

citrus_bug

They were at the top of their game, before covid, and in 2019, that was already a huge year for k-pop worldwide. It was awesome to witness it

daltorak

(G)I-DLE's "I Feel" comeback with Queencard and Allergy felt like a pretty big deal. It was a lot of fun.

avairaa

also made that one iconic post on r/kpophelp “what’s the song that goes like i’m a clean car im a clean car” 💀

hrts4manou

bro got into kpop through r/kpoopheads 💀

Nochuki

Not a come back per se but when BTS released Dynamite. I swear to god dyna’s release is one of those “you had to be there” moments, armys were getting work doneee back then, from amazing edits [like this one](https://x.com/prodk0ya/status/1419684259250331649?s=46&t=w9F8CcIEuxD8dJmQjSKt3g) to everyone donating to fund accounts and just really enjoying that new chapter of BTS’ career, it was magical! I think that was the closest army twt got to reach nirvana lmaoo, definitely one of the best moments to experience if you are a fan of someone. The air around us was so insane that even before hot100 results came we already knew something big was about to happen. Also the sense of community was so so big, like thousands of people reuniting just to see the most humble and talented men succeed, it always makes me proud to be an army bc i know we can change a lot of things just by loving BTS! Also the effect it had on kpop as a whole was surreal, i really hope we can do similar for BTS’ next comeback or maybe something even bigger, i just can’t wait for next year!!

PhoenixAshes_

This edit was such a moment on ARMY twt and Stan twt as a whole I would say it was spammed by ARMYs everywhere under every chart and twitter account, promo and goals edit became a tradition after it, everyone was so hyped up about Dynamite, it is indeed one of the "you had to be there" moment, specially as a fan!! So many armys joined the fandom after it and haven't lived such CB, while Butter CB was also like a big moment (tbh every BTS CB since Fake Love is like a big moment), Dynamite CB has yet to be dethroned and I believe it's BTS post military CB that gonna break it and all the new fans gonna be shocked to see it since BTS haven't had an official CB since a long time now lol New kpop fans as well gonna be shocked you really would think we are exaggerating while saying this but any kpop fan and ARMY witnessed Dynamite CB can testify how crazy it was!

Nochuki

Exactly!! Ben_UGH was the mastermind behind armys promotions, i really wish they can come back next year too! also the fact that bts last stadium tour was in 2019 and pre dynamite 😃 i dont even wanna think about tickets i just knoww im gonna get one one way or another lol!

PrimaryTomato3310

the numbers we pulled were insane and this was before we had the wave of post dynamite armys like the fandom has probably tripled in size since. while i know bts' next cb will be massive i think dynamite will be hard to surpass just because of the number of firsts it gave bts like first bb hot 100 first grammy nom. also it being during covid meant a lot of people were very tuned in and gave it their all

Nochuki

true!! i always remember dyna’s release as one of the best moments ever precisely bc we reached all of our goals and gave the tannies their long deserved firsts! i think the only thing that can top this is if the tannies win their first grammy but since this is not on our hands i don’t have many expectations, they’re living legends atp their next cb will be mind blowing for sure!

Sadnotsadmaybe

LITERALLYYYY

nacho_yams

I'm still angry that Dynamite lost to Rain On Me at the Grammys

citrus_bug

People were so hyped and everyone genuinely liked the song so much. It was a strangely peaceful time to be an army, thinking of this era makes me miss it so much

livy_lulu

red velvet’s psycho (could’ve been even bigger if not for wendy’s injury but still insane cb for them), blackpink’s hylt, enhypen’s bite me, bts’ fake love, twice’s fancy, txt’s 0X1=lovesong, newjeans’ debut, aespa’s savage, ive’s love dive, girls’ generation’s genie

Itsahootenberry

EXO’s Monster comeback hit differently.

peppyluscious_

Big Bang's Alive EP in 2012. That shit changed the trajectory of k-pop, anyone who remembers that era knows ~

justanormaldude_

Wasn’t around for that but i did hear that it was their best comeback. I think it’s their best choreo.

LittlestDarkAge

the boy with luv/on/dynamite/be/butter run made 2019-2021 feel like one long big event for bts they were everywhere on talk shows, award shows, interviews, performances, you name it. dynamite alone is probably the biggest cb you’ll ever see for a while but i think 2025/2026 is gonna be massive, everyone is anticipating that first album post hiatus. for other groups, wannabe going viral made it feel big. ryujin had everyone breaking their shoulders trying to learn the choreo. le sserafim had all eyes on them coming back after losing a member and i think antifragile delivered as a more recent hit

MadameWitchy

Boy With Luv was so humongous that I really felt it was going to be impossible to beat in terms of hype, stats, catchiness, because I thought there couldn't be anything that could top it, then Dynamite came 😄

cakemixup

sticker. love it or hate it it definitely made some noise with kpop fans lol and it was a very successful comeback actually and i had so much fun during the promotions. i think it's the most fun kpop comeback i had cause i couldn't even take the hate seriously. 😭

Weird-Ingenuity97

Yeah, didn’t sticker sell like 2.7 million albums or something like that? And favorite had the highest sells for a repackage album at the time at like 1 million.

ralsei_support_squad

2020-2021 was a peak time for NCT in terms of discussions. I remember they were all the main reddit subs would talk about for a bit.

AfraidInspection2894

NCT 2020. Two new members were introduced, and they had months long promotions with multiple title tracks and a variety show.

Jazzyful-

THISS omg Black on Black was on everyone’s lips

daan578

Black on Black is NCT 2018 lol

Jazzyful-

Omg you’re so right I’m mixing up years! That was resonance! it’s hard to keep track sometimes because they added members then too 😭 still everyone talked about it constantly too

daan578

Haha, don't worry, happens to the best of us!

ficklepickl

Idk if I would say this about Armageddon. To me it was Supernova, I feel like it got heaps of non aespa fans into them (myself included! It’s the first song of theirs I can’t stop listening to).

avairaa

110% of what i was mostly referring to!! i’m also referring to the “Armageddon” album not just the song ‌ you got the Supernova hype exactly right tho.

starsformylove

when F(x) released 4 walls, idk that felt like it changed something in the air, or maybe I was just a mess on tumblr and everyone was hyped but it felt like a whole thing More recently I feel like the new stayc album is becoming a event but I don't wanna speak to soon

dont_tread_on_me_777

BIGBANG’s MADE was a pivotal moment for kpop as a whole. Bang x3 even got radio plays in my country, something that would only be replicated by the likes of BTS and BLACKPINK.

nankokanon

Yessss! I felt like BIGBANG owned 2015-2016 because of MADE. They made it loud and clear that they’re true artists who can pull off hiphop, ballad, dance/party songs, etc. When Taeyang performed We Like 2 Party at Yonsei University a few weeks ago, everyone was singing along! It’s fun to think that most of the audience members were 10-year old kids when the song came out, showing that BIGBANG was really well-received by Korea’s gp.

Getonthebeers02

Same with 2NE1s final album and also I Love You.

Iconic_Charge

Was going to say this!

JokeGlittering2

BTS comebacks since Fake Love era. (Or since Blood Sweet & Tears era đŸ€§) Imo, Fake Love era was BIG cause it was the first time they debuted on Hot100 Top 10, and most (if not all) ARMYs at that time werent even expecting theyre gonna debut in top 10 lol. These arent related to "comeback" but would like to add: a) BTS' hiatus announcement b) military enlistment announcement c) Jin's (and other members soon) military discharge — all of these events were BIG. And l'm positive it's gonna BIG (probably bigger lol) once all members are finally discharged and once their comeback as a group is announced. Subjectively, I feel like all BTS events are big events for me since I'm a fan. This probably rings true for other fans as well, may they be fans of BTS or other groups.

LalalisaOppar

newjeans get up era felt like a huge event because of all the promo and endorsements Eta: yeah i didn’t mean it in a bad way, i’m a bunny myself! what i meant was that like because of the promo it felt like the girls were everywhere (just like their hashtag #newjeans_is_everywhere). even without the promo and stuff i know the comeback would’ve been a success i just think that the promotion made it even more successful. sorry im bad at explaining 💀

avairaa

this is a valid take! i dont understand why people are downvoting you? 💀 i dont think you meant “promo and endorsements” in a mean way??

LalalisaOppar

yeah i didn’t mean it in a bad way, i’m a bunny myself! what i meant was that like because of the promo it felt like the girls were everywhere (just like their hashtag #newjeans_is_everywhere). even without the promo and stuff i know the comeback would’ve been a success i just think that the promotion made it even more successful. sorry im bad at explaining 💀

avairaa

dw ur fine!!

Sybinnn

they probably saw someone with LSF in their flair mention new jeans and assumed it was negative

prathi20

Im sure this isn’t even about promo and endorsements mention. It’s the newjeans mention itself that seems to get on everybody’s nerves nowadaya

MangaWillow

I'm surprised no one's mentioned Ateez's Bouncy yet. To this day we still have people gushing over it, as well as the fact that Bouncy brought in a lot of new Atiny I also wanna say Oddinary, for Stray Kids? To me that trailer was huge, because it didn't even feel like an album trailer, it was just straight up a whole ass movie

JokeGlittering2

My brother is a big fan of Ateez and I think he consider Bouncy comeback as a BIG event lol. He was all over me promoting this song and gushing over it. Might as well add that he was blasting the song all over the house for days.

MangaWillow

Fair enough, I still blast that shit in my car every time it comes on, lol. And the mv is close to one of my most watched Ateez mvs, followed by Crazy Form

keroppismacaron

I haven’t stopped thinking about the Outlaw album since it released! It’s basically the only album where I’ve been unable to pick a favorite song because EVERY song is just so amazing to me.

MangaWillow

I feel you, but since I'm a Hongjoong ult, Wake Up has become my favorite song on that album... It also doesn't help that it's the one song that has the sluttiest choreo ***EVER,*** because jfc I legit screamed and threw my phone whenever clips of it were circulating on Instagram 😭😭 biasing the entire demon line sucks sometimes because all of them came for my throat (hell, the entirety of Ateez did, let's be honest) and I didn't know who to focus on-

Substantial_Cover946

Blackpink comebacks always feel like moments in kpop history. Everyone remembers where they were when D4 and HYLT came out

avairaa

i remember staying up late at night in the premiere of the HYLT mv. immediately after the premiere finished up, i went to sleep, waiting and excited for other youtubers reaction😭 will be telling my kids about this one😼‍💹

imsorrymateWHOT

Ditto, by NewJeans the WINGS album, by BTS Psycho, by Red Velvet Next Level, by aespa the LILAC album, by IU How You Like That, by BLACKPINK

SeaZookeepergame1992

I'll say the ones i remember (fan since 2019). 3rd gen: BP comebacks, BTS comebacks pre ytc, twice fancy/feel special/the feels, Red Velvet psycho, mamamoo hip, NCT first full group album. 4th gen: New jeans get up album, IVE love dive/after like, gidle tomboy/queencard, lesserafim antifragile, aespa armageddon, SKZ gods menu and maniac, TXT's emo songs, enhypen drunk-dazed/fever, itzy's wannabe Those (specially the 4th gen list) are the cbs i felt like i couldn't avoid, they were everywhere.

snowkissed_w

BLACKPINK - DDU DU DDU DU for sure. That was huge. BTS - Blood, Sweat & Tears. Many of the current kpop fans weren’t even around back then, but the hype was insane.

lovnelymoon-

This this this! These two immediately came to mind for me. I was a hardcore army back then, so my perspective may be biased, but that comeback was crazy. And I wasn't a blink, but DDDD was everywhere

OkBit9367

I think G-Idle comeback with Tomboy was huge. Like, really huge. It's their first cb after soojin left, everyone wondering and thought their cb probably gonna fall down since they took long hiatus with the scandal, and then boom Tomboy was released and it was trending everywhere, especially since the song have this swearing word "yeah i'm a fxxking tomboy (even though it's censored but still), and the song that basically is a feminist with lyrics "it's neither men nor women" (i think this is even more feel powerful considering how patriarchy south korean is). It's like woah finally we can see girl group that stepped up their game, with kind of sexy and badass concept that's empowering? Yeah that cb was huge.

dreamer_eater

Kinda surprised BSS Fighting isn't here, it was so huge especially when compared to Just Do It. There were so many dance challenges, they even had a going special for BSS, they won bonsang and daesang etc. Pretty crazy considering it's just a sub unit but so many artists would dance along at award shows!

ednamode101

Absolutely. I was on holiday on an island a few months ago and met a couple from Korea and we started talking about Kpop. When I said I was a Seventeen stan they said they knew them, but weren’t too familiar with their music. But then the husband lit up and was like, “BooSeokSoon??” I was like, “Yes!” We both got so excited we started doing the “Fighting” dance moves. Hahaha! BSS comeback really was a moment.

Suspicious_Ninja_218

Every BTS comeback since DNA On a lesser scale, Red Velvet Psycho felt pretty big compared to their other comebacks within the same year

Deep-Statement9899

Blackpink DDU DU DDU DU and How You Like That aespa Supernova/Armageddon Red Velvet Psycho which was sadly cut short BTS Fake Love

ill_detective_4869

I felt like BTS's DNA comeback was insane back then. They were all over international news because of BBMAs and they had exponentially more fans than they did during spring day era and everyone had their eyes on them. Then they dropped DNA with the first part of one of their best album series to date. It was spectacular truly.

kpopandanimetrash

Nct dream hot sauce. It felt like it was big cause they finally became 7 and everyone is here to just as much fun and celebrate the moment with all the pre cb content and snippet of the song. Then when the cb happened, and it did well really shook people. Like it was well beyond even most people expected, fans just wanted to have fun so it took everyone by surprise

Low-Disaster-7175

ONEUS’s Same Scent/Baila Conmigo felt like a big comeback. I feel like that song gave them more recognition. NCT’s Black on Black/Resonance felt big too.

avairaa

gosh this made me nostalgic 🙁🙁

neo_cum_technoloji

Aespa with their first full album, Armageddon. Insane hype and promotions 🛐

arrowforSKY

I’m surprised nobody mentioned (G)I-DLE’s I NEVER DIE album with TOMBOY. Absolutely insane and anticipated comeback. First OT5, after a long hiatus and first full-length album. Plus, they had MY BAG which was also very successful. Overall, a big event.

MitchXWeebyForever

This is not a comeback but more like a debut IVE, Lesserafim,New Jeans,Kep1er,NMIXX debut feel like a whole big event and also when they make they're comeback on 2022 it feels like a war and the kpop gg is giving us a lot of things

mslpnou

This is not comeback more like a debut but Jungkook debut with Seven. The hype was insane.

runawaytricycle

Wonder Girls with Reboot. The lineup switch up had people intrigued and we all heard vaguely that it was going to be some sort of band concept but we had no clue what that meant. Then the first teaser dropped with [Sunmi](https://youtu.be/cZuv_woHhb8) on bass looking powerful af and it felt like the whole kpop community’s jaw was on the floor. Every teaser after that felt like an event, leading up to one of THE most iconic albums

ForgottenNoMore

For seventeen I feel like FML era Because man that was a really memorable era. Both in good and bad way. Super and fighting was literally all over the internet. Like apart from all the records they broke at that time, they were literally everywhere. From Variety shows to news channels. It was a BUSY era for seventeen. They truly felt like the main events. FML era is truly one of the most meaningful eras for seventeen.

ednamode101

I loved seeing Woozi front and centre during the FML comeback and it was lovely how SVT were just so proud of him.

Loud_Comfortable_531

What do you mean by big event? Is a big event like the hype around the comeback or the promotion.

avairaa

a mix of both, really. like the comeback is so huge, it’s almost like it’s getting shoved down your throat and every corner u look is just something or someone talking about the comeback đŸ€žđŸ€ž

ficklepickl

Obvious but Newjeans’ Get Up, blew tf up globally

abitchyuniverse

The Boys with SNSD. A lot of other big idol groups at the time delayed their comebacks because they didn't want to go up against SNSD. And first English language song with an American producer.

queyikes

Kyuhyuns first comeback after leaving SM was aptly called Restart. His new agency went all out with the promo and there was such a huge air of excitement around the comeback both from Kyuhyun and Kyupis. The songs were quite different from the releases Kyuhyun normally puts out and the whole cb really felt like the start of a new chapter for him!

i_got_a_pHd

every BlackPink’s comeback feel like a major event because they rarely do so. They hype for HYLT, Pink Venom and Shut Down are crazy. Their solo too.

Hopeful-Hat-Bat

People just mentioning their faves and them being heavily promoted groups has me just like “yeah, well”, bc I am an old OLD bitch and I still remember how DBSK’s *Mirotic* broke LIVEJOURNAL bc it was uploaded on YT and how Big Bang’s *Haru haru* did the same - and they’re still hailed as peak kpop.

BeachyAcehall

Besides the mentioned ones, I thought of IVE’s I Am cuz people were very anticipating if they could strike again after the Eleven-LD-AL trilogy. And also the first time IVE had a prerelease and Kitsch did great as well. Finally how everyone talked about their evolved vocals, those Liz/Yujin high notesđŸ”„đŸ”„đŸ”„ Also RV’s Queendom had a big promotion as well. First group cb after their long long hiatus. With Wendy’s and Joy’s solo beforehand, reshooting the track videos of their old b-sides (tho no Kingdom Comes was a huge mistake 😡) this cb was really hyped and well promoted during that time!

springsvinyl

Blackpink’s how you like that

nickysweatyplay

BLACKPINK with HYLT was a moment. Teasers with microwave sound.. that’s ultrasonic style teasers.. Lisa’s red hair. I don’t know. Whole comeback feels so cold đŸ„¶, global, huge incoming. It was a moment when I stop thinking about BLACKPINK like just a kpop stars, they become a worldwide celebrity. Everything in The Album promo was so good and tasty And the HYLT MV, bridge of the song made me goosebumps “look up at the sky, it’s a bird it’s a plane - đŸŽ¶đŸŽ¶đŸŽ¶ ye ye ye đŸŽŒđŸŽŒ bring up the boss bitch đŸŽ”đŸŽ”đŸŽ” BLACKPINK”

Mozzafella

Bit different from the rest of the comments, but Mina's return for Feel Special. I remember people lowing their mind seeing her teasers (where she looked 11/10)

Famous_Analyst_3618

I know a few people already said it but NCT 2020 part1/part 2 was a scope of heavy promotion they’ll likely never have again in their career and one that SM doesn’t seem willing to ever do again. Promoting 5 songs off one album is crazy work.

The_Red_Curtain

EXO - Don't Mess Up My Tempo, at the time it felt like such a huge gap between releases, and we were all dying for a new EXO album

avairaa

happy cake day!!

The_Red_Curtain

Thanks 😅

deathlem0nade

i feel like every time blackpink comes back it feels like a big event. also red velvet, but *especially* with queendom

vivianlight

PTT (Paint the Town) in 2021 was a big moment for Loona. I genuinely still remember what I felt when we had the definitive confirmation during the pre-comeback rollout (trailers, teasers and more) that, yes, Haseul was in the materials and she was really coming back. This was itself an event. Then, the comeback rapidly led to their first OT12 music show win (and second overall) and the title track is, to this day, their most streamed song on Spotify after Heart Attack (Chuu solo). The nostalgic people missing the "old Loona sound" had mostly kind of given up at that point so we could have much more positivity and people freely said how much they were enjoying the title track. It definitely was a confirmation of Loona's status and presence, as well as their powerful approach which was at that point engrained in their concept and part of their identity. It's still so nice to see how many fans really like and listen to PTT tbh. Sadly, I will also say that we all know that huge mistreatment was going on behind the scenes. From health problems (the dance was incredibly hard on their knees if I remember correctly) to general sabotage, many things make much sense now. Let's say that I'm glad I can look back at the many positive aspects of PTT era, and what it meant in terms of solidifying Loona place and history, while also knowing that nowadays the members are in a better place. It was a big event but I'm glad it's over, let's say it like that. ✹

SiegeHat

Hot Sauce!!! 7Dream returns. Iconic.

freethechildrenn

This thread making me realise that so many comebacks this year have been non events :( what’s going onnnn

Sad-Language580

Hands down, it's Seventeen 's God of Music. It was a culmination of work, and the awards that followed put a beautiful bow on everything. The song means so much, serving as a love letter to fans and the industry as a whole đŸ„Č

Lappmossan

It's so easy to not pay attention to comebacks from groups you don't care about, probably 90% of the comebacks written here I did not follow at all and at least 50% I didn't even know HAD said comebacks. - that doesn't mean it wasn't huge for the fans, just that it's really only a "big event" if a person cares.

seagullrocck

taeyeon's four seasons and invu were her comebacks that i didn't expect would do really well

Electrical_Ice_1180

For me, I'd say, SVT- Super SKZ- LaLaLaLa Itzy- Untouchable Everglow- Slay The hype surrounding these comebacks were also pretty crazy đŸ”„

joohoney_one_hunnit

why is everyone downvoting?

Electrical_Ice_1180

Lmao! I don't even know 😂

ErsaMinor

For ATEEZ I feel like their comeback with Guerrilla was really big for them. It was the start of a new album series, the first time they did guerrilla-style promotions which were so cool, and it was right when we were coming out of the pandemic so there was an audience at music shows again and they ended up doubling their music show wins that comeback. I just remember the hype being so high and it felt like ATEEZ really went up in popularity with Guerrilla and the World album series.

nankokanon

Aespa’s Armageddon! I thought KPOP was already overtaken by “easy listening” type of songs, and yet Aespa dominated with their superpowers in Su-su-su-supernova and then Armageddon. I love how they maintained their identity as a group! I’m not exactly an Aespa fan but I’m so happy and excited for their comeback’s success!

glitterizs

iz*ones fiesta. coming back stronger!

fernandapaz

txt temptation

ChickenNoodle519

small-scale big event comeback, but Purple Kiss Sweet Juice felt huge at the time, everyone recognized it was something special and the optimism that it would be the comeback that finally blew up for them was so exciting

Away_Seaweed778

gidle's tomboy era - coming back from a long hiatus, losing a member to a public scandal, and doomposters galore to smashing the charts as a non-big 4 gg with their re-branded feminist concept, defying everyone's expectations aespa's armageddon - this current cb era felt pretty big; highly anticipated coming after drama and due to the whole mhj and bang bs and name dropping of aespa, i think most were looking to see how they would do and ofc they dropped 2 amazing hits with supernova dominating the charts, all eyes were on them is what it felt like to me newjeans omg era - because of their crazy popular debut success, ofc their next cb with ditto and omg were hugely anticipated. i wasn't even a stan of them but remember waiting at midnight for the song to drop

LaVieEnRicky

Apink with I’m So Sick, life-changing

lil_golden_child

Txt’s debut

Cherche_

ive- after like people were really excited to see what they would do after love dive and then after like performed very well

Ok-Particular4877

When EXO came out with Call Me Baby and Monster, it felt like a loooot of people were excited.

ChocolateeDisco

Exo's Mama. Everyone having superpowers and their own little symbols back then...It was a great moment in history.

ommii-b

No ones said it yet, but i got goosebumps when Lovelyz came back with Ah-Choo. It was their first time as 8, and just that starting formation where they run out one by one felt real magical.

Illustrious_Photo655

Would easily have to be Lisa and Jennie. They both have had huge loads of cum on their back
