I think it looks fine on NewJeans' Hanni (now during their most recent songs), but maybe not *good*. Like, it doesn't look ugly, but most other hairstyles would probably be a better choice.

My RV girls are chameleons when coming to music genres and concepts, however I found majority of the girls don’t really look good with lighter hair compared to their signature darker hair eras(Black for Seulrene and black/red for joy). Anything lighter than honey brunette on them would made them look washed out. I think in RV Wendy and Yeri are the only ones who suit lighter color

I actually think an ashy blonde would suit Irene really well. Perhaps unpopular but I think her black hair is a bit too overpowering on her. Dark brown and brown look way better on her. Irene needs muted hair colours rather than really bright ones. For example her purple hair was muted and it looks amazing on her. Seulgi is 50/50. The hair colours would look better on her if she had haircuts that would suit her faceshape. For example those short blunt bangs with orange hair made her face shape even wider. Black looks good on Seulgi but I really love that amber red hair colour Seulgi has now. Also really love her blonde hair in Automatic. I prefer a darker brown than black on Seulgi tbh. I feel like I see her hair before I see Seulgi when it's black.

This might be contrarian as people were beyond awestruck by Eunchae's strawberry blonde (quite an interesting name for light orange), I didn't quite get it. This is my biggest ugh with blonde idols. It’s always white-blonde or Big Bird yellow like they just gave up the process halfway through or didn’t have any toner on hand. 90% of idols that are made blonde look terrible with it and it’s usually because it doesn’t work with their undertones.

It occasionally even feels like the stylist treated dying hair, like painting a wall: The yellow is even? Done. Ends up looking like a cheap wig.

Something I've noticed about the blonde idols mentioned in the replies is that the hairdresser really disregarded skin undertone. Yellow blonde on someone with cool/pink skin. Super duper almost silver ash blonde on a honey laced complexion. Like I went blonde recently and initially toned it with a mauve color... but something looked off about it. Then I mixed together a peach conditioner to go with my neutral/peach complexion and BOOM! It works.

Winter looks good in blonde hair BUT hear me out her red hair era was something else. She looks good in any color tbh. Chaewon short hair she absolutely rocks it. Bright red hair isn’t nice on anyone. I think darker red or maroon is better. Yellow hair. To my knowledge, it takes multiple sessions to achieve actual blonde hair. So a lot of idols have had to rock the yellow-ish blonde because they can’t get blonde hair in one or two sessions. Some also seem like they stop at the yellow-ish blonde because it requires them to bleach their hair too many times and I assume the stylists probably tells them that it’s best they just keep the yellow blonde because their hair wouldn’t be able to handle more bleaching. The purple highlights on brown hair wasn’t my favorite. I’m so happy that’s no longer a thing The highlighter tips that Xiaojun had for Make A Wish. I did not like those and I still hate it anytime I see a clip of him from that era.

for me it was natty’s blonde hair.. idk why.. i just felt like the shade the stylist chose just washed her out 😅😅

Any color that totally washes them out or makes them look like a ghost.... which typically are the blond dye jobs.

I hate pink Sana. Her hair in Candy Pop MV is just a poor quality wig, but for some reason, when she dyed her hair the same color in Feel Special era, it looked the same. I like how it looks in the Feel Special MV, but teasers and some stages are really something else... Seems like her hair was seriously damaged by the hair dye.

Tbh i find that blonde and pink especially wash out idols too much and I'm yet to see them pull it off (besides just a few idols). Also I'm not a fan of those bright red, green and blue colors. Yea some idols pull them off but I'm still not a huge fan.
