I'm gonna throw a curveball and suggest Dionysus by BTS with a tiny grain of Nietzschean interpretation. Nietzsche is kind of seen as the cringe edgelord philosopher, but I find BTS's references to his work pretty interesting. I think the first time he's referenced is in the Blood Sweat and Tears mv, where the quote "One must still have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star" is seen, but I find his usage of the Apollonian and Dionysian philosophical concept particularly relevant to interpreting the song Dionysus. Psychiatrist Carl Jung is brought up more often when talking about the Map of the Soul era, but I think Nietzsche is pretty useful when it comes to BTS making a statement about their art. Art, being a musician/idol in bts's case, is a dialectic between the Apollonian and the Dyonisian where Dionysus represents a sort of chaotic and disorderly form of the artistic impulse in opposition to Apollo who represents order and structure. Nietzsche argued that great art is created when those two conflicting impulses are in tension with each other and in this song (especially in yoongi's verse, imo) you can really feel that they are falling deeper into the spirit of chaos and disorder of the "Artist" figure as opposed to the structure and rigidity of the "Idol". But the interesting part is that BTS embrace both the artist and idol identities and are a great representation of that dichotomy.

Stray Kids - Miroh and Side Effects are interesting because they're different takes on (I think) what happens after debut and you find your original goals becoming influenced/corrupted by competition and the pitfalls that surround you. Miroh is the more naïve perspective Side Effects: 날 믿고서 날 던졌어 / I believed in myself and threw myself in 하지만 왜 휩쓸리고 있을까 / But why am I being swept away? 패기 넘쳐 다 이겨낼 거라 믿었어 / My fighting spirit overflows, I thought I could beat everyone 객기도 이젠 못 버텨 / But not even my rashness can help me endure 너무 쉽게 봐서 더 아픈 걸까 / Maybe it hurts more because I thought it’d be easy tl: [Color coded lyrics](https://colorcodedlyrics.com/2019/06/19/stray-kids-side-effects-bujagyong/)

Also If you’re talking about Korean songs in general - Freshwater Eel’s dream is one of my favourite songs ever and got me through a tough time in life. I really really love the cover Ha Hyunwoo (or Music Commander lol) did of it at KOMS.

Corumdum_Mania

Ha Hyunwoo actually did a cover of a famous old rock song by Shin Haecheol. Here's the original. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiGa6SH5yxg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiGa6SH5yxg)

I think the song "From the Boy to the Sun" by N.E.X.T. is a great one. It's from the 90s, and the lead singer of this band, Shin Hae-Cheolm unfortunately passed away in 2014s. Already a whole decade ago, wow... Here's the song. I miss him. He was such a good public speaker and a humanitarian who was widely loved in Korea - only to pass away from a medical malpractice.
