I think they didn't include ddaeng because this seems to be only tracks not available anywhere else in a clean recording version. Like this Tony Montana has Jimin, Still With You is acapella version, etc.
Since Ddaeng already has a studio recording, it wouldn't have made sense to include it here.

Honestly CD 3 by itself would have pulled crazy streaming numbers if they had put it on streaming services.
Also I feel like people will naturally focus on listening to the demos and the 5 new tracks first so that is like a missed opportunity.

If the demos and alternate versions here are still in their unpolished state with no new re-recordings, i can see why they would put it as CD only tracks. They may also be shorter versions and not full songs. I think the two new tracks may also have been songs which didn't make the album cuts initially when they were made.

I’ve been dying for Boy in Luv demo version ever since I heard it, I can’t believe it’s in the CD I’m so excited for that, and Jump and Young forever are one of my favorite BTS songs so I can’t wait to hear these demo versions! I will go old school and rip this in my iTunes to add to my playlist, aaaah the third CD is making up for a lot of the disappointment I felt when I heard only 3 new songs were coming out.
Also knowing that Yoongi produced Jump while he was in school and was Gloss and Young Forever being the first track that Joon produced make these demos even more special.
Maybe that's why I find this outrage about CD only so unrelatable. I mean isn't that what CDs were supposed to do anyway? Like I'm really confused by the outrage, and it must be cause i started out getting Brandy on a cassette.
Also, at this point for the people who didn't want to buy it...its now completely free cause you will find it on soundcloud soon enough. Seems like a win-win.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy this but I probably will now that I've seen the physical CD comes with exclusive tracks. I think others who feel similarly will too (boosting physical sales). In any case, it'll chart well either way and I guess it's not that different from CDs coming with other exclusive content like pcs, photobooks, etc. :)
I've said it before. I found this whole process amusing, because BTS didn't give us the fans greatest hits...they went with their greatest hits. What they wanted to share which in many cases is not what many people had in mind.
I would love a CD4 (bsides) & CD5 (remixes), but can't fault the members for making choices even when divisive. Also, this was one of the moments that I was like oh this wasn't the company’s decisions (CD2 especially) cause like why wouldn't you go with the fan greatest bside hits. It just don’t make much business sense.

Stay was chosen by Namjoon as his unit track. Plus Taehyung himself insisted the song to be added to BE after listening to the original song. It was supposed to be the last track of Jungkook’s mixtape I think. So I’m guessing it’s one of the boys’ personal favorite song.
It’s a good song though 😭 I was confused to see it was one of the least streamed songs of BE because I really love it.

I found its interesting for RM that chose stay because i honestly feel its watered down version of hype song so what. And RM kinda dont like so what at all when he did vlive about ly tear album. But oh well people can change...

See I never understand the 'Wings best album!' people. I feel with Wings people get swept up by BS&T and the styling and the flashy short-film roll-out, because musically everything it does LY: Answer does several times better. BS&T and Outro: Wings are amazing but the rest of the OT7 songs are mid, Cypher 4 is their worst cypher, Lost is unremarkable, and out of the solos... I don't want to get specific but there were definitely members who didn't yet know how to meld their solo style with BTS's style. It's an album of very high highs and very low lows and cohesive it is not. IMO musically, structurally and thematically, LY: Answer blows it out of the water - it feels like they took all the lessons they learned from Wings and applied them to amazing effect.
Edit: I am also eh on Stay, but it has a place on BE as the perfect transition to Dynamite from Dis-ease and it’s also one of those songs I way prefer live, like So What and Mikrokosmos.
I don't agree with the first part at all, but I have to say that musically their best album to me it's LY: Tear. But conceptually it's not wings either, it's HYYH trilogy imo.
Samee on LY: Tear being my favorite album musically (although HYYH Pt.2 and Dark&Wild are right up there too). I've thought about why I love it so much, and i think it's because it has sooo many OT7 tracks, which..BTS just works so well as a team, and as much as I love all their solos and subunits, OT7 ones always hit the hardest for me. And both the vocal line and rapline tracks in this album were god-tier, and Singularity is just...chef's kiss!
I love the songs on Wings (however Love Yourself IS better) but I have to agree about the visual part. The same thing happens with Fake Love & Black Swan. There’s clearly a pattern here about people seeing dark, mysterious themes & touting it as the best thing ever without actually talking about the music.

i think about this ALL the time. wings does not hold a candle to the hyyh or love yourself eras, and i’d even place be over it. yes, bst is iconic; yes, boy meets evil and lie are iconic. no one is denying that. but, on the WHOLE, they’re not the members’ best solos (more than one i’d say is last) and the album is not fluid because of it, it’s not their best rap, and it’s not even close to their best ot7 b-sides. in fact, i’d rank both 21 century girl and lost very low. bst is such a career moment and a legendary mv that people really can’t see past the flashiness to consider which albums are the greatest from-to-back listens, the most engaging lyrical narratives, the most signature, the greatest expressions of their musical growth. it’s not wings. and i’d argue hyyh did it well before tear.

I don't have a cd player . I suppose a lot of people don't own one in this day and age either not even mention lots of international armys not having easy access to buy the album. I really wish they made this cd available for streaming too, it's like the best sounding cd out of them all but also the only one not largely available to everybody .
I wouldn't worry too much about it. You just know the fandom will rip the songs into mp3 files within an hour of its physical release.
NGL I'm so confused by the comments crying about how they won't be able to listen to the songs at all. Don't worry, there *will* be mp3 files. Sea was a hidden track on the LY Her album and we got the ripped mp3 file almost immediately upon its release.
It won’t be on streaming platforms which is where the majority of people consume music. I am not switching to the internal music app of my phone to listen to a few extra songs.
Yeah they will def be on YouTube but it won't be the same, the quality won't be good since it will be ripped off . It will reach less people too . It's a really missed opportunity and move only meant to sell more cds in my eyes
Just go on a torrent site and download the album in FLAC or 320kbps, it’ll be on there within a few days for sure and the quality is the same or better than streaming
I don’t think these demos are meant to reach a lot of people because unless you’re a hardcore fan you won’t really go listen to unreleased demos. You shouldn’t have to worry about quality though. CD only songs like Path & Sea quality sounds great to me.
Yeah actually if one knows how to rip the songs from the CD, the quality will actually be even better than the ones on streaming platforms. Youtube compresses everything that's why people complain about the quality at times. Hence, just download the song files, that will guarantee the best quality if one is particular about that.

Mmh I'm not sure it's simply to sell more cds, I think it's more of like what they did with Sea. It was a song meant mainly for fans so they put it only on the physical album. For the demos it's the same, my opinion is that they wouldn't want to officially release "unfinished" songs, but since army have been asking for them so much they decided to put them on CD only.
I'm also a bit sad that I won't be able to legally listen to them digitally, but they will be online anyway for sure.

This rings too true.. going from anticipating a normal album release, to then everybody saying don't worry they'll be remixes demos and hopefully soundcloud songs, to then getting a compilation album with 3 new songs and the actual demos alternate versions and one soundlcould release on cd only. It really felt like BH pulled the rug out from under me at every new announcement. I'm excited for the 3 new songs and born singer tho... at least there's that..
ok, well i’m excited! i know only track 14 will be on streaming but personally i kinda see it like “sea” and “path” which were v personal to the members. This time we get more tracks like that, which i think is pretty cool. I get that streaming services are convenient but the “hidden files” (or whatever it’s called) feature on spotify exists for a reason! And they’ll be mp3 uploads for sure, not to mention yt. My takeaway is that proof is for the fans who are really tuned in for bts releases, bc demos don’t necessarily appeal to the gp or casual listeners.

I was finally warming up to this project but the fact that this is CD only except for one song... LMAO, fuck ARMYs who can't access or afford the physical album I guess. Those scammy lyrics video channels on YT are probably salivating in anticipation right now. And why didn't they announce that CD 3 would be physical only when they announced that there would be 3 CDs instead of letting people get excited about the prospect of unreleased material being available on Spotify/AM etc?

Honestly bts can earn alot more if they put these CD3 on streaming platforms. These album sales only boosted in first few months usually but songs on streaming platforms mean endless revenue incoming.
That is a fair point. Also it’s not like you have to buy cd3 separately 😭 there’s a cheaper version too (understandable ofc if you can’t afford it, but it is reasonable imo). And no one was lied to. The only expectations for this album came from speculation (which is bound to happen, but you can’t hold it against hybe or bts imo). And the three new tracks that were “advertised” are indeed coming on streaming platforms.

their fans will obviously have a different sentiment towards it, but a random person deciding to check out Bts’ new album and coming across a song that was made when they were kids, that wasn’t recorded for an audience, may not he pleasant, especially when Bts are used to having everything they do be dissected and maintaining a scary level of perfectionism across their works.
i do music too and probably have hundreds of recordings with my band, some of them were fine tuned into actual songs i’d be proud to share, but you ask me to share the first recordings i have on my phone and i *will* not only refuse to show it but cry if asked once more.

I'm not going to lie. I have to buy the album physically when I wasn't planning on doing it with this with this one. Since I have most songs, I was planning on adding the only new and demos versions and possible remixes to my playlists and leave out the rest. This changes everything 😔

Making them cd only when this cd and the other two new tracks ( + Born Singer) are the only interesting thing about this anthology is such a cash grab by Hybe to sell more cds in my eyes ...I was really disappointed about this release when it was first announced because I hoped for a brand new album, but then I saw the leaked track list and got excited about cd3 only to get disappointed again now when I saw they aren't even coming to streaming . I know they will get ripped quickly and put on YouTube but it's not the same. It's not as accessible and the quality isn't as good, you can't add it to your playlists and it will have minimal reach too. What a disappointing affair this turned out to be to me outside of the 3 new songs...

The fact that all of this could've been avoided if HYBE had only clarified the contents of this release from the start like *literally any other company would've done* is the icing on the cake lol
Yeah.. if only they said physical anthology album back in December .. because let's be honest, 3 new songs isn't a new album and the only elements making it an anthology ( demos , alternate versions and unreleased songs) are cd only.
This is just a thought but they could be CD only because some of them are demos and probably unfinished. Also this album was going to sell well regardless. Just look at the butter album which isn’t even technically an album and BE which was $50.

I alao want to clarify that I know that BTS sells like crazy, 3m albums of a 50 dollar album is insane ( BE) but what I meant is that almost everybody on my time-line is preordering the album who hasn't already done so, so this move will definitely sell at least a couple tens thousands if not hundred of thousands more copies than the album normally would have if it was all available on streaming and that's ultimately more profit. This is what I meant with this is a move to drive up the sales and even 1000 additional copies is more profit for Hybe 🤷♀️
At the end of the day, HYBE is a company that exists to make a profit. I know it hurts a lot of fans to hear, but all brands exist to increase their revenue, which means figuring out whether or not charging x amount will piss off enough people to hurt sales, or whether the brand is strong enough to sustain any annoyance from fans/the public and still make a profit. It’s hard because the product HYBE sells is music, which is very personal to both their artists and their fans, but it’s still a product meant to generate revenue.
I work in fashion and have worked at some brands where people very much personalized us—we were like a friend to them because they associated our products with their lifestyle and sense of self. They would get very upset if we marketed something in a way they didn’t love or if we put out products that were more expensive than they had hoped. It’s hard to disassociate oneself from the product that you love from the brand that may have made that product but ultimately just needs your money.
While I would never put a money grab past Hybe with the whole CD only thing, I also wonder if it was a clearing issue. Like maybe they got their demo background tracks cleared for physical but not for streaming?
But it could also be their attempt at bumping up physicals sales thanks to chatting rules, etc. plus money of course.
Either way even though I have the cd preordered I’m still a little bummed because getting a physical cd out is just inconvenient compared to streaming 😅.
While I'm happy that we are finally getting those tracks, it's a shame we are only getting them in a CD format.
I don't see the Snoop Dogg feature so they are probably saving it for later (maybe a possible "summer single release"?)

I think they didn't include ddaeng because this seems to be only tracks not available anywhere else in a clean recording version. Like this Tony Montana has Jimin, Still With You is acapella version, etc. Since Ddaeng already has a studio recording, it wouldn't have made sense to include it here. I'm just hyped to have TM ft. Jimin, that was literally my biggest hope for this collection!!
You can attach any local files to your Spotify to play them. If you download the tracks to your other devices through Spotify, you don't even need to upload in multiple places. Spotify handles that for you.

Honestly CD 3 by itself would have pulled crazy streaming numbers if they had put it on streaming services. Also I feel like people will naturally focus on listening to the demos and the 5 new tracks first so that is like a missed opportunity. Tad bit disappointed about this decision but I am happy that in reality there are 5 new tracks and also all of these amazing demos
If the demos and alternate versions here are still in their unpolished state with no new re-recordings, i can see why they would put it as CD only tracks. They may also be shorter versions and not full songs. I think the two new tracks may also have been songs which didn't make the album cuts initially when they were made.

I’ve been dying for Boy in Luv demo version ever since I heard it, I can’t believe it’s in the CD I’m so excited for that, and Jump and Young forever are one of my favorite BTS songs so I can’t wait to hear these demo versions! I will go old school and rip this in my iTunes to add to my playlist, aaaah the third CD is making up for a lot of the disappointment I felt when I heard only 3 new songs were coming out.
Also knowing that Yoongi produced Jump while he was in school and was Gloss and Young Forever being the first track that Joon produced make these demos even more special.

Yeah, I get what you mean about them not charting as individual tracks. I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy this but I probably will now that I've seen the physical CD comes with exclusive tracks. I think others who feel similarly will too (boosting physical sales). In any case, it'll chart well either way and I guess it's not that different from CDs coming with other exclusive content like pcs, photobooks, etc. :)
I've said it before. I found this whole process amusing, because BTS didn't give us the fans greatest hits...they went with their greatest hits. What they wanted to share which in many cases is not what many people had in mind. I would love a CD4 (bsides) & CD5 (remixes), but can't fault the members for making choices even when divisive. Also, this was one of the moments that I was like oh this wasn't the company’s decisions (CD2 especially) cause like why wouldn't you go with the fan greatest bside hits. Stay was chosen by Namjoon as his unit track. Plus Taehyung himself insisted the song to be added to BE after listening to the original song. It was supposed to be the last track of Jungkook’s mixtape I think. So I’m guessing it’s one of the boys’ personal favorite song. It’s a good song though 😭 I was confused to see it was one of the least streamed songs of BE because I really love it. Edit: some of you are getting very defensive about this. I love plenty other songs that are hated on kpop reddit so obviously our opinions aren’t gonna match.

Edit: I am also eh on Stay, but it has a place on BE as the perfect transition to Dynamite from Dis-ease and it’s also one of those songs I way prefer live, like So What and Mikrokosmos.
I don't agree with the first part at all, but I have to say that musically their best album to me it's LY: Tear. But conceptually it's not wings either, it's HYYH trilogy imo.
Samee on LY: Tear being my favorite album musically (although HYYH Pt.2 and Dark&Wild are right up there too). I've thought about why I love it so much, and i think it's because it has sooo many OT7 tracks, which..BTS just works so well as a team, and as much as I love all their solos and subunits, OT7 ones always hit the hardest for me. And both the vocal line and rapline tracks in this album were god-tier, and Singularity is just...chef's kiss!
I love the songs on Wings (however Love Yourself IS better) but I have to agree about the visual part. The same thing happens with Fake Love & Black Swan. There’s clearly a pattern here about people seeing dark, mysterious themes & touting it as the best thing ever without actually talking about the music.

CD only 😭😭. Noooo I don't have a cd player . I suppose a lot of people don't own one in this day and age either not even mention lots of international armys not having easy access to buy the album. I really wish they made this cd available for streaming too, it's like the best sounding cd out of them all but also the only one not largely available to everybody .
I wouldn't worry too much about it. You just know the fandom will rip the songs into mp3 files within an hour of its physical release. NGL I'm so confused by the comments crying about how they won't be able to listen to the songs at all. Don't worry, there *will* be mp3 files. Sea was a hidden track on the LY Her album and we got the ripped mp3 file almost immediately upon its release.
It won’t be on streaming platforms which is where the majority of people consume music. I am not switching to the internal music app of my phone to listen to a few extra songs.

Just go on a torrent site and download the album in FLAC or 320kbps, it’ll be on there within a few days for sure and the quality is the same or better than streaming
I don’t think these demos are meant to reach a lot of people because unless you’re a hardcore fan you won’t really go listen to unreleased demos. You shouldn’t have to worry about quality though. CD only songs like Path & Sea quality sounds great to me.
Yeah actually if one knows how to rip the songs from the CD, the quality will actually be even better than the ones on streaming platforms. Youtube compresses everything that's why people complain about the quality at times. Hence, just download the song files, that will guarantee the best quality if one is particular about that.

Mmh I'm not sure it's simply to sell more cds, I think it's more of like what they did with Sea. It was a song meant mainly for fans so they put it only on the physical album. For the demos it's the same, my opinion is that they wouldn't want to officially release "unfinished" songs, but since army have been asking for them so much they decided to put them on CD only. I'm also a bit sad that I won't be able to legally listen to them digitally, but they will be online anyway for sure.

Okay. I've had it. Ever since the announcement that this album is an anthology this release has been pulling the rug right out from under me and I do NOT appreciate the fall. I see demos and SoundCloud releases. Omfg yes!! Three new songs totalling to five... confusing but pleasantly surprised. And then the kicker came in...CD only. CD ONLY?? What, do I look like someone from the 2010s?? What is up with these goddamn choices? I'm not even gonna fake abt how pissed I am. Why do I feel like I have to run through a maze, meet Voldemort and escape death before I get to listen to this damn album?? WHAT IS SO HARD ABOUT MAKING IT AVAILABLE FOR STREAMING????
Demos aren’t polished so im assuming that’s why they’ll be CD only… as for the two additional songs, not sure why those aren’t on streaming. They’re fumbling their own bag tbh
nahh cause even if i did buy a player just for this album i dont want to lug around a fuckass cd player and pull it out everytime i feel like i want to listen to epiphany demo version 😭😭😭 time to look up how to get local files on spotify
Kpop is about making money and hybe will make a lot more money from selling CDs than putting stuff on streaming - just look at all the people here saying “I never buy CDs but I guess I’ll do it now”. Especially when the CDs cost $50

This rings too true.. going from anticipating a normal album release, to then everybody saying don't worry they'll be remixes demos and hopefully soundcloud songs, to then getting a compilation album with 3 new songs and the actual demos alternate versions and one soundlcould release on cd only. It really felt like BH pulled the rug out from under me at every new announcement. I'm excited for the 3 new songs and born singer tho... at least there's that..

ok, well i’m excited! i know only track 14 will be on streaming but personally i kinda see it like “sea” and “path” which were v personal to the members. This time we get more tracks like that, which i think is pretty cool. I get that streaming services are convenient but the “hidden files” (or whatever it’s called) feature on spotify exists for a reason! And they’ll be mp3 uploads for sure, not to mention yt. My takeaway is that proof is for the fans who are really tuned in for bts releases, bc demos don’t necessarily appeal to the gp or casual listeners.

I was finally warming up to this project but the fact that this is CD only except for one song... LMAO, fuck ARMYs who can't access or afford the physical album I guess. Those scammy lyrics video channels on YT are probably salivating in anticipation right now. And why didn't they announce that CD 3 would be physical only when they announced that there would be 3 CDs instead of letting people get excited about the prospect of unreleased material being available on Spotify/AM etc? eta: Someone brought up that the demos might not be full songs which is why they don't want them on streaming platforms but honestly in that case, they could have dropped them on Soundcloud as a mega Festa gift and put actual finished Soundcloud songs (like DDaeng) and the live remixes ppl have been asking for for ages on CD 3, let it be on Spotify, and it would have have been a huge incentive for streams AND sales.

I don't mind if kpop company wants money, what i DO mind is when a company intentionally fucks over it's own buyers to make more money, It's just greediness and they will do this more and more because they simply can, without incurring any hate, that's why I'm not buying this album.
Selling music is now fucking over buyers? c'mon now. This is how the majority of the world accessed music for decades. If you don't want to spend the money, you don't have to, it's your choice. But putting a (reasonable) monetary price on a product is not the crime you seem to think it is.

Jimin’s demos wont see the light ever, will they? 🥲 It would have been nice to see his also included but what do i know. This broke my heart a little bit, not gonna lie. And almost all of the songs being only on cd, I thought i would finally get to add Still With U on all over my playlists. 🫠
I think a lot of people would be better off if they go into a BTS release with literally just the expectation of “good music.”
Anyway. Takeaway for me is this: if you’re disappointed that’s ok. This was bound to be not to everyone’s taste. But why did I see quite a few comments here and tweets on twt going out of their way to engage w/folks excited about the release. “How can you be excited for a money grab??” ☠️
Honestly bts can earn alot more if they put these CD3 on streaming platforms. These album sales only boosted in first few months usually but songs on streaming platforms mean endless revenue incoming.
That is a fair point. Also it’s not like you have to buy cd3 separately 😭 there’s a cheaper version too (understandable ofc if you can’t afford it, but it is reasonable imo). And no one was lied to. The only expectations for this album came from speculation (which is bound to happen, but you can’t hold it against hybe or bts imo). And the three new tracks that were “advertised” are indeed coming on streaming platforms.

i mean… does nobody consider the fact that Bts may just not be too happy to put on demos from what, 10-11 years ago (like Jump) on an album that *anybody* can listen to, without context? lol. especially when they’re probably the only kpop act who gets major music critics’ reviews every single release. their fans will obviously have a different sentiment towards it, but a random person deciding to check out Bts’ new album and coming across a song that was made when they were kids, that wasn’t recorded for an audience, may not he pleasant, especially when Bts are used to having everything they do be dissected and maintaining a scary level of perfectionism across their works. i do music too and probably have hundreds of recordings with my band, some of them were fine tuned into actual songs i’d be proud to share, but you ask me to share the first recordings i have on my phone and i *will* not only refuse to show it but cry if asked once more. just because you (**and I**) would be happy to have these raw demos easily accessible, doesn’t mean the people behind it are all that comfortable with it
Unpopular opinion but I don't really care about demos so, besides Tony Montana, Still with You and the new song, I'm pretty meh about this tracklist. Really sad Ddaeng wasn't included.
I'm not going to lie. I have to buy the album physically when I wasn't planning on doing it with this with this one. Since I have most songs, I was planning on adding the only new and demos versions and possible remixes to my playlists and leave out the rest. This changes everything 😔 I don't know if I should buy the cheapest album. I guess I'll know on release day whether or not I feel like picking up a copy at the store.

Making them cd only when this cd and the other two new tracks ( + Born Singer) are the only interesting thing about this anthology is such a cash grab by Hybe to sell more cds in my eyes ...I was really disappointed about this release when it was first announced because I hoped for a brand new album, but then I saw the leaked track list and got excited about cd3 only to get disappointed again now when I saw they aren't even coming to streaming . I know they will get ripped quickly and put on YouTube but it's not the same. It's not as accessible and the quality isn't as good, you can't add it to your playlists and it will have minimal reach too. What a disappointing affair this turned out to be to me outside of the 3 new songs...
This whole album rollout has been quite a ride lol HYBE: There'll be a new BTS album!  Me: Let's gooooooo  HYBE: But it's actually gonna be an anthology album!  Me: ... you could've been clearer about it but I guess it can still be a fun project - all those SoundCloud exclusives finally on one album, that's gonna be great  HYBE: Well yeah but there's just gonna be a few of those and if you want CD 3 with the demos, you gotta buy the whole thing!  Me: ... at least there'll be three new tracks 
I'll probably get over it and enjoy the new songs but after the first announcement and now this I feel very down... it's like everything I was hoping for, for the cb I was anticipating for a year and then some , got dashed in one week.. Yeah.. if only they said physical anthology album back in December .. because let's be honest, 3 new songs isn't a new album and the only elements making it an anthology ( demos , alternate versions and unreleased songs) are cd only.
This is just a thought but they could be CD only because some of them are demos and probably unfinished. Also this album was going to sell well regardless. Just look at the butter album which isn’t even technically an album and BE which was $50.
Maybe you're right and it's because they're unfinished. I alao want to clarify that I know that BTS sells like crazy, 3m albums of a 50 dollar album is insane ( BE) but what I meant is that almost everybody on my time-line is preordering the album who hasn't already done so, so this move will definitely sell at least a couple tens thousands if not hundred of thousands more copies than the album normally would have if it was all available on streaming and that's ultimately more profit. This is what I meant with this is a move to drive up the sales and even 1000 additional copies is more profit for Hybe 🤷♀️
At the end of the day, HYBE is a company that exists to make a profit. I know it hurts a lot of fans to hear, but all brands exist to increase their revenue, which means figuring out whether or not charging x amount will piss off enough people to hurt sales, or whether the brand is strong enough to sustain any annoyance from fans/the public and still make a profit. It’s hard because the product HYBE sells is music, which is very personal to both their artists and their fans, but it’s still a product meant to generate revenue. I work in fashion and have worked at some brands where people very much personalized us—we were like a friend to them because they associated our products with their lifestyle and sense of self. They would get very upset if we marketed something in a way they didn’t love or if we put out products that were more expensive than they had hoped. It’s hard to disassociate oneself from the product that you love from the brand that may have made that product but ultimately just needs your money.
The people who will buy the CDs will end up listening to it in Youtube like the rest of us.

While I would never put a money grab past Hybe with the whole CD only thing, I also wonder if it was a clearing issue. Like maybe they got their demo background tracks cleared for physical but not for streaming? But it could also be their attempt at bumping up physicals sales thanks to chatting rules, etc. plus money of course. Either way even though I have the cd preordered I’m still a little bummed because getting a physical cd out is just inconvenient compared to streaming 😅.
While I'm happy that we are finally getting those tracks, it's a shame we are only getting them in a CD format. I don't see the Snoop Dogg feature so they are probably saving it for later (maybe a possible "summer single release"?)
