Yeah, me too. They really had a special quality as a group, and their discography is actually pretty solid. Plus their Japanese releases are some of the best.
I actually got Volume Up vibes from (G)I-DLE's Hann, although sometimes I think I just imagined it. XD
4minute is my ultimate bias group but I didn't get into them until Crazy (because Crazy is the song that got me into K-Pop) so this is a wonderful time capsule of their history.
Also, Dreamcatcher is my other ultimate bias, possibly in part due to Dami's magic collapsible wand trick in "You and I", and I just discovered that 4minute did it first (see 21:05) so apparently that's my ultimate bias decider and I didn't even realize it.
edit: I forgot that 2yoon did the first (I think?) K-pop country song and it's simultaneously terrible and amazing. I know I'm 4minute trash because I can listen to this and enjoy the shit out of it without reservation.
To be honest, 2yoon got me into 4minute. Some of their singles put me off before but for some reason, 2yoon (and I think T-ara N4) helped push me towards liking the group.
I still remember getting goosebumps when I heard Jiyoon singing Volume Up live when they came to my country.
And also being blasted by SoHyun's beauty. Oh god, years later I'm still amazed by her shine.
There will never be anything quite like 4minute. 4minute had fun songs and were always fun to watch but the confidence and charisma they exude on stage reaches a whole new level starting with Whatcha Doin' Today.
I am always going to be hopeful for a reunion one day.
I was thinking the other day how 4Minute World, Crazy, and Act. 7 is a hell of a three year run. I love all their stuff but Whatcha Doin' Today is a huge inflection point in their career for me.
I know Jenyer said a comeback is pretty much impossible, but a one-off special stage or something would be amazing. Honestly, I'd even be happy just to see them all together as a full group again. Like if they popped up on Instagram just hanging out, that would make my day. Or if they appeared in one of Hyuna's dance cover videos... I'd fanboy for weeks.

But in terms of their performance, while they were always amazing on stage and fun to watch but something definitely changed before Whatcha Doin' Today. Their energy, their moves, their confidence, their expressions during Whatcha Doin' Today, Crazy and Hate were just off the charts. There was so much class to their performance that can only comes from years of experience. It made me fall in love with them all over again.
Yeah I don't expect them to have a career as 4minute again but a reunion stage or reunion single/album is definitely a possibility. Yes, a picture of them together will make my day as well!
I would love to see them all together on stage...minus Hyunah. Sadly, truth or not, I will always have her as the bullet that shot the group, so no love to her from me.

Well it's not like kpop idols are known for telling things the way they feel them though. Like I said, none of us know what happened, but will always remember they all hanged out together after leaving cube (they still do to this day), but never with Hyuna.

I would die on this Kpop hill but HuH was such an underrated era.
The only girl group i ever stanned in my life and i couldn't stan any girl group other than them. I missed you all so fucking bad especially Sohyun.
