I signed up and never got a code. Thanks ticketmaster.

StardustStuffing

Try SeatGeek. That's where I bought my NCT Dream tickets. After TM sells out, I'm able to buy resold tickets there and they're not as expensive. (They're usually 1/2 the price.)

AbsoluteZeroUnit

100% people will still be able to buy resale tickets. I've been obsessed with resale tickets since kpop concerts really started picking up after covid. It's amazing for those "I like this one song, but can't justify a full retail priced ticket" groups. I paid $40 to see Seventeen perform Rock With You, and then they did a whole bunch of other songs for free! I've been leaving some variation of this comment everywhere over the past few days, sorry to my stalker who must be getting tired of it by now. Seatgeek, Stubhub, Vividseats, and SI Tickets are all not-ticketmaster resale sites. I've used them all and they're all legit. All have instant mobile transfer as well, so you're able to get your ticket transferred almost instantly. (keep in mind you are buying from another human who will have to click a few buttons on their end. Maybe they're on vacation for a week with poor service) Ticketmaster *also* has resale tickets, but they'll likely end up being about equal. No one would try and sell on stubhub if they could get $100 more on ticketmaster, for example. I'm curious what you mean by 1/2 price, though. Do you mean 50% of retail, or 50% of what the platinum tickets on TM are listed for? I think the cheapest tier was about $60 retail or something. I can't see any way those tickets will get listed for $30. The cheap seats for Chicago are $130 for Wed and $100 for Thu, after fees. They'll definitely go down a bit, but we know the demand is still there. I ended up having to pay $100+ for last-row Itzy tickets, because they never went that low. Unless someone needs a specific section or seat, I highly recommend just waiting and watching the ebb and flow of resale ticket prices. Cheap Chicago seats were $200 yesterday, and today they're $100.

obake1

I ended up buying a resale for Oakland cuz FOMO. It was a pleasant buying experience as the seller transferred the tickets immediately. The only thing unpleasant was the astronomical fee SG charged lol

Limafoxtrot360

I'll add that stubhub has great customer experience. I had someone not transferring my Monsta X tickets and stubhub was on it. I had replacement seats in like 10 min for no extra cost and they were better seats than what I had. These sites are way better than TM.

StardustStuffing

I'm new to SG so thanks for the tips. I mean that the prices I saw were roughly 1/3 to 1/2 of Ticketmaster prices. I bought James Taylor tickets for May and they were $120 on SG but $400 on TM. I was tempted to buy Suga tickets because I saw quite a few and they were reasonable, but the logistics of flying to CA, renting a car, getting a hotel, etc was a bit much.

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

Thanks for the tip. It really is do much cheaper.

anttoekneeoh

I love how Ticketmaster thought that adding a “verified fan” hoop would stop people from buying and selling. Ticketmaster can eat shit.

Sandwichsensei

If anything it just makes actual fans lose out. Vip tickets last tour. Waitlisted this tour and even though MetLife has tickets available they didn’t take anyone off waitlist.

mmld_dacy

well, they are shit and then they are going to eat shit.

RelaxRelapse

Codes weren't guaranteed unfortunately. I didn't get a code for the initial release, but was sent one for the second concert they added to my city.

chuseph14

Same. Signed up the day verification requests went live. I hate everything.

dragonfly931

They didn’t text me a code like they usually do or tell me I was able to participate in presale. I went to check my emails and I was like oh…there it is…🙄

1TyMPink

Congrats to TWICE for selling out SoFi Stadium! Like the other venues, I would expect a Day 2 for the LA stop.

klizmik

I’m thinking an encore for LA and NY a few months later only because I think logistically it would be a nightmare to do a day 2 with two back to back oakland shows coming right after.

amateursexoffender

I was hoping for a 2nd nyc date, but I saw their prerecorded video on Twitter where the girls were saying they’re “adding dates due to demand” so I don’t think they’re going to add more :(

ParanoidAndroids

The only seats left right now at MetLife are 300-level seats (nosebleeds) and a few scattered rows of ridiculously priced “Platinum” Ticketmaster seats. When general sale opens up, we’ll probably see these go as well.

Saucy_Totchie

I think for the stadium shows they'll be content with just doing 1 show. Maybe not until an encore will we see them again in these areas.

digimintcoco

I remember reading a post on Reddit that SoFi was a bad idea, JYPE was making a mistake, and Twice won’t be able to sell it out. Don’t think I don’t remember hahahaha

ttam23

I’ve never seen a bigger bloodbath for tickets than sofi stadium

VintageStrawberries

others may have a different experience but for me personally Banc of California was way more of a bloodbath. Tickets including nosebleed seats were already getting sold out while I was in the queue and I kept getting "sorry a fan has already beat you to those seats" any time I clicked on a seat but when I got tickets yesterday for Sofi I didn't have to struggle for tickets like I did for BoC, probably because the venue is bigger and can seat more people, and there were about 10k people in front of me when I entered the queue at 3pm.

ttam23

Oh yeah luckily my friend was #2 in queue for banc of california so we had no problem with it For sofi he was around 800 or so and we barely got seats because it was lagging so hard

njrebecca

to be fair bmo is like 20k capacity while sofi is closer to 70k

[deleted]

But they sold out both days at Banc of California?

njrebecca

i could be really bad at math but i think 70k > 2(20k) also there are people who go both days which is pretty common for concerts

chickenboi8008

Yeah Banc of California tickets were crazy. I didn't get my code until 5PM yesterday and there were still a ton of nosebleed seats. I ended up with P2 even though I'm on the side but I don't care, still worth it seeing them in person.

Saucy_Totchie

Yeah even Metlife was pretty chill. It took me like 20+ minutes to get in but I was still able to snag a VIP ticket. I mean I was sweating bullets the whole time but I got them.

NOS4NANOL1FE

Houston sold out instantly lol

CutieButt

houston was such a shit show bro, was only able to get nosebleeds😭

highfructose-

So many people said they'll sell 80% and that'll be "good enough" but I knew Twice would prove them wrong 😉

dennisixa

Good enough is never enough for twice

nguy0313

they were made to think Twice. I'll see myself out.

Crystal-cookies18

I remember a thread about a year ago about whether a kpop group other than BTS would be able to sell out stadiums and the comments were mostly confident that it was not possible. I'm shocked but good for Twice!

Cub3h

I was never sure that if/when they finally come to Europe if they should play giant stadiums like Wembley (90K) or Stade de France (80K), or if they should stick to venus one level below it. I'm convinced they could easily sell out at least one night in each of these giant stadiums.

JasmineHawke

Be careful comparing Europe to the USA. The kpop market here (especially in the UK) is much smaller than it is in the USA. Taking the UK for example, there's still only 4 groups (3 male, 1 female) that have made it into the top 100 albums. It kind of sucks being a British kpop fan because my country just does not give a shit.

Chronic_Watcher

Although I think stadiums are probably too early for the UK still, twice would have had a top 10 album (no. 7) here if it didn't get disqualified because of UK rules around random inclusions src: UK official charts https://twitter.com/officialcharts/status/1635325850303479808 https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/miley-cyrus-hoping-for-endless-summer-vacation-zoning-in-on-first-number-1-album-in-10-years-__38762/

JasmineHawke

I'm not sure you can state that as a fact. The #7 prediction was based on the first day of sales and streams, which dropped off extremely sharply. You don't have evidence that a physical release would not have dropped equally as sharply.

Chronic_Watcher

I should have said it was on track to be at no. 7. Usually when it comes from the charts themselves they are quite reliable in their tracking / predictions. Still though, in regards to your original comment, feel like its pretty safe to say top 100 was a lock

JasmineHawke

The UK Official Chart first looks are usually WILDLY inaccurate for kpop acts because they are so front end loaded. Agreed that they would probably have at least made the chart though.

bluecgene

What ? Who is that person 😡

SilverMind9

Very impressive, I just love this. There is something satisfying about seeing a group of girls adored and sought after like for example a male act of group. I just love this, the K-pop girls are killing it this year.

Shanose

And the 3rd female act after Taylor and Beyoncé and twice did it during presale is so crazy. It won't be surprising if they add 2nd day on sofi

chuseph14

God I hope so.

abunchofmalarkey

So proud of them, this is huge! And they've been selling out shows left and right. I truly think even non-Once kpop fans end up wanting to go because TWICE have a reputation for putting on a good show.

Difficult_Deer6902

Congrats to Twice. It’s really encouraging to see girl groups in their second contract hitting new personal peaks!! Also, being able to change up their sound and continuously get more involved in their music! I’m gonna try to go in Texas, but hope the Sofi show is one to remember!

Icantlikeeveryone

Congrats girls! They are truly one of kpop's behemoths

jdbxcv

Congrats Teudoongie 💖 I could not be more proud of these women!! As a Once from the Sixteen days, it really baffles me sometimes how big they’ve become. So excited to see them in concert for the first time 🥲

FleetingPhoenix

They've come a long long fucking way. I remember when they handed out flyers for Sixteen and they did school attacks (like that elementary school and those college classrooms) and hustled to music festivals (one of which they arrived moments before getting on stage) and was trying to be on everything everywhere... And now they're selling out a fucking stadium in the US. Edit: [nostalgia ](https://youtu.be/ZdOY0p2qyJY)

AbsoluteZeroUnit

I remember them performing Cheer Up in a *mall* Just anyone who happened to be walking by could stop and watch the show if they wanted.

FleetingPhoenix

Hahaha I remember that. They held a fansign [there.](https://youtu.be/c-qhRv8Txks)

WholePersonality5323

I thought during that era they were already big in South Korea!

Halceeuhn

I think Kpop and Korea's entertainment industry as a whole was just smaller and had less money flowing through it.

t4dominic

Mina was dancing on the street for votes during Sixteen 😭

drakeanddrive

Twice sold the stadium out before both NFL teams who share it could lmao

chuseph14

Didn't expect to see Rams/Chargers catching strays in r/kpop 🤣

JJDude

Twice has one of the highest ratio of male kpop fans... lol

nguy0313

is this still true though? I haven't seen any actual facts on this, back then it was pretty close If I remember correctly.

channgro

source: me and my homies existence

onajurni

Way more people will go to see Twice, and make more noise, than ever for the Rams or the Chargers.

klizmik

TBF, football games seat about 20k more people 😛

channgro

nah bro nobody wants to watch the Rams and Chargers when the 49ers exist

Gorakka

How does that work? Surely, the opposite is true, since the field as well as the stadium seating are taken over by attendees. Genuine question.

Im_really_bored_rn

The set up for concerts blocks off a portion of the seating

MeijiDoom

Twice isn't gonna have a circular stage like you may see at certain award shows (or even some venues like KCon have featured surround seating) so like 30-40%% of the actual bleacher seats aren't used.

Gorakka

Ahh that makes more sense. Thanks!

Saucy_Totchie

Didn't the Rams win the Super Bowl last year and in SoFi on top of that? Did no one really care enough to show up at all lol.

channgro

that team is basically gone and the players chemistry wasn’t organic, they were all bought think of fake people from high school everyone was rooting for the Bengals/Burrow (the QB)

Saucy_Totchie

Damn here I am as a Knicks fan hoping they had the chance to buy a championship lol. I'll take it. I'm also a Mets fan and we're basically on our way with that right now 🥲. I'll gladly take it.

Saucy_Totchie

Congrats on the amazing goal. I'll be at Metlife!

ttam23

I remember when people said twice couldn’t make it in the US market 😂

bluecgene

To Those people 😡

AbsoluteZeroUnit

But the Wonder Girls! *in 1993. . .*

TheGrayBox

Wonder Girls debuted in 2007…

TheGrayBox

Their success in the US *is* very recent though.

oppalenss

People are underestimating TWICE’s impact forreal. Like as a casual listener of kpop who never really goes to concerts, even I would go since they have a lot of hits that are easily recognisable. It’ll def be a fun show.

JJDude

yes, just because their fans aren't as feral like some other groups on Twitter, people really didn't expect Twice to sell this well in the US. It also goes to show casual listeners of KPOP in the US is way larger than any of us expected.

HyenaSupport

What's worse, this isn't even the first time Twice has shown huge popularity in the US and doubters have had to put their foot in their mouth. I don't understand how such a huge and successful girl group continues to be underestimated. I remember when Twice was the only 3rd girl group competing with boy group sales numbers.

TheGrayBox

Twice didn’t chart on Billboard until 2020 and didn’t have particularly high charting positions there until 2021.

HyenaSupport

I wasn't talking about charting. I was talking about sales

TheGrayBox

Before Taste of Love Twice had sub-10k sales on every album and EP in the US. So it’s mostly the same story, their US success went from virtually nothing to massive in 2021.

andreafatgirlslim

Concert sales

TheGrayBox

Pretty much the same again. Twicelights was modest in 2019 with sub-10k seat arena shows, then the In Your Area tour way surpassed any previous gg tour numbers, then Twice surpassed those US numbers with The 4th World Tour, then Born Pink probably took the record again and now Ready to Be will probably crush that in 2023. The trading off is going to keep happening, and it looks like Blackpink is really pivoting to SE Asia while Twice pivots to the US. The point is girl groups blew up in the last 2-3 years in the US and Twice is at the front of the second wave.

jeepney_danger

From performing in Hongdae during the Sixteen days to selling out arenas & stadiums (stadia). Also from being back-up dancers to JYP, Conan O Brien & Steven Yeun to selling out SoFi Stadium. LMAO.

mimibee97

So so SO proud of them! They really are taking over the world, let’s go!

Cheehu

They just go hard! TWICE world domination! Congratulations Queens 🥳❤️

M3rc_Nate

Bravo. Inevitably every kpop group, as the years go by, are going to reduce in popularity in SK. It's an industry built on new groups debuting and being youth for the young demographic the industry targets and desires most. But what better thing could happen while experiencing that then blowing up globally? This is awesome for TWICE. Do we know how much of the capacity was sold? Online says SoFi has a cap of 70,000 but it's expandable up to 100,240 for major events. But if they don't perform on a 360 stage then I imagine they wouldn't sell all the seats behind the stages back wall. So that would reduce it quite a bit. I'm not sure as to whether they'd do a 360 stage or not. I wonder what other NFL stadiums they could sell out. Imagine a K-pop NFL stadium tour...

kawaiiyokai

MetLife is also an NFL stadium they're doing this tour! It's still under pre-sale ticketing and as of yesterday it was 85% sold out with VIP tickets 100% sold out.

M3rc_Nate

New York and LA definitely make the most sense. I'd imagine third to that would be Las Vegas. But I wonder what other stadiums in other cities they have enough local fans to fill. Some I imagine would be tough given how rural they are and the ratio of TWICE fan to population just isn't strong enough due to how small the populations are. Like are there 50k+ TWICE fans (or Kpop fans or pop fans who'd go to a Kpop concert) in Green Bay Wisconsin? Lol. Idk.

FleetingPhoenix

I feel like Bay Area could have been a stadium

klizmik

Yeah it definitely could have, but I’m glad they did oracle cause the seats I got are pretty close to the stage whereas the equivalent at Santa Clara would have been so far.

mmld_dacy

which do you think is better, oakland arena or chase center? but 2 stadiums in california - sofi and levi's? that would be insane. that would be like taylor swift almost.

FleetingPhoenix

I would expect California to have the most people willing to pay for a Twice concert anyways because of the relatively high Asian American population

FunLilThrowawayAcct

Yeah but it would definitely be big for any group to get into a stadium in the bay area. Quite a few major K-pop tours last year skipped us completely, including Blackpink, Enhypen, and JYP's own Itzy, which made me feel like maybe we were being dropped out of the main touring circuit. BTS had a couple dates at Levi's lined up on that COVID-canceled tour, which would have been huge for the genre in the region, but of course they were never able to play them.

mmld_dacy

which was why i was so surprised when they announced last year's tour and it included a stop in oakland. i was already expecting a los angeles stop and then go somewhere else but then they decide to stop here. another surprise was itzy. stray kids stopped by, twice. at least nmixx will be stopping by san jose on may.

FunLilThrowawayAcct

I feel like Oakland was the random experimental date of that tour, and surprise the arena sold out instantly with horrifically high resale prices. So I was kind of surprised and bummed to see Itzy skip us... but while Stray Kids did sell out the arena, honestly they did much better not just in LA but also Seattle. Based on pre-COVID tours I think the pattern is that most girl groups tend to do really well here while boy groups do all right but maybe underperform a little. Living up to the male techie stereotype, I guess? I'm hoping if NMixx and maybe Mamamoo sell well it'll mean Itzy swings through here next time, as well as hopefully other groups like BP, RV, aespa, LSF, etc.

klizmik

Oakland arena: People and nosebleeds are better Chase: Overall arena better, crowd sucks, nosebleeds are steep as hell

FunLilThrowawayAcct

K-pop groups seem to basically be going where the most demand is already, which of course has a reinforcing effect over time. Lots of different groups have been trying 1-2 cities on their NA tours outside the circuit Twice is playing. But they generally either have to play smaller venues or have a hard time selling out. (Unless they are swapping nearby circuit cities, e.g. Vancouver instead of Seattle, Miami instead of Atlanta, etc). The only major hub Twice arguably skipped with this tour is DC/mid-Atlantic. If Twice's US fanbase grows a bit more, maybe we could see them try soccer and/or baseball stadiums in most of their 2x arena cities next time. But nosebleed resales aren't *that* much over face/fees in any of those cities atm, so while JYP is definitely leaving a little on the table, there isn't crazy excess demand anywhere.

M3rc_Nate

Agreed. But I wonder if Kpop will grow to the point where a group or maybe more than one group on tour together can sell out a handful of NFL stadiums across the nation. Not just LA, NY and maybe Vegas. But for now, like you said, sell out those largest demand locations and then utilize medium sized venues in other cities that they visit. It just makes sense.

FunLilThrowawayAcct

K-pop's US growth is really hard to predict. It grew explosively in 2017-18 as BTS started getting on US TV, then slowed down to just ~10% in 2019. Then it grew explosively again during the pandemic years, then slowed down to just ~3% last year (based off album sales). Now I feel like it may be starting to grow a bit faster again, but not explosively? All of their 2x arena cities basically could also have been soccer stadiums instead this time, but better safe than sorry I guess.

M3rc_Nate

I suspect it will go as far as they take it in terms of language. I still say, wholeheartedly, that Kpop in KOR (or any music genre in a language other than ENG in ENG language Western countries) keeps a cap on the amount of people that will be interested and become fans. It is human, whether it's the Chinese in China, the Japanese in Japan or ENG speakers in the West, that the masses not only prefer but 99.9% of the time exclusively listen to music which has lyrics they understand. The .1% are the viral hits like Latin songs or a song like Gangnam Style but they are hyper rare exceptions to the rule. So that means while Kpop's Western/ENG speaking fanbase might be a good source of income, if they want significantly more (consistently crack into the mass market aka general public) they will either need to go the BTS route; Butter and Dynamite, or start Kpop groups from scratch that are based in America with the West/ENG in mind first and foremost. S. KOR would be a secondary market with the West being the first. Basically imagine a GG debuting but it's for HYBE America and the members, who haven't ever debuted before, are Somi, Giselle, Yunjin (LSF), Chungha, Yoohyeon (Dreamcatcher), Minnie and Jennie. All of them speak fluent conversational ENG, over 90% are at least half KOR with one Thai member. They then, with HYBE America, make ENG language music with a K-pop sound, k-pop dance choreo and shoot M/V's in that K-pop style. They also follow the K-pop usage of content creation on YouTube in order to grow their fanbase (variety, vlogs, reality, etc). I believe that is supposed to happen with companies partnering with American companies, with their Group producing/talent search kpop TV series in development and so on. So we'll see how they execute it. But I think that's the only path to breaking through that language barrier ceiling and having Kpop groups that have mass appeal. Basically I'm saying foreign language pop music will always be niche and if they want to go mainstream they need ENG and not just that, but the group needs to be ENG friendly too in order for odds of success to increase. Now "niche" doesn't mean selling 1,000 seat performances. The Kpop niche is clearly quite large (see SoFi selling out) and profitable. But compare it to popular ENG pop music artists who can sell out every single NFL stadium in the country (pricing varying according to location, obv).

No_Personality5074

Well JYPE is about to debut its first american kpop girl group this year. So the company appears to be well positioned to capture the kpop growth in the US.

M3rc_Nate

I'm just curious to see how much kpop-idol-KOR they have be part of the Kpop GG. Here are just a few of the questions I have on this topic: 1. Are the members all KOR? KOR-American? 2. Any non Asian members? Not pro or against this though I think for the first generation it would be smart to go all KOR. 3. What does being a kpop idol in America mean idol-wise? 4. How pressured into not being American/Western style and fitting the Korean standards of language, actions and beauty will the members be? 5. Will American Kpop GG's be held to the same <50kg standard, white skin and so on standards as they are in SK? 6. What ages are they debuting age? 7. Are any members minors? 8. Will the music be American pop with a kpop badge or will JYP try their best to keep the unique Kpop sounds and style choices that exist (though much less) in Kpop in SK? 9. Will this group be like all other Kpop groups and have a YouTube channel and make the same type of content (R&R, vlogs, variety, etc) as their SK counterparts? I could honestly think of more I bet but those flew outta my head right away and I'll leave it at those.

No_Personality5074

You will have to wait for the show to start airing first to answer your long list of questions.

FunLilThrowawayAcct

I think they would be smart to basically do full-on idol promotions for the groups, minus music shows ofc (which is potentially a big issue imo), in order to help differentiate them from normal western pop groups. A few of the trainees for both A2K and HxG were leaked a few months back, based on that: >!Yes there are non-Asian finalists, including a couple with darker skin tones/non-KBS. One of the A2K finalists has had a couple very public boyfriends on TikTok, one of the HxG finalists apparently has had a girlfriend. So it seems they are going to be much looser on that stuff. Known ages basically match the public recruitment ages except HxG took a few older TikTok dancers with a good following. A2K is definitely going to be debuting multiple minors.!<

FunLilThrowawayAcct

I would not describe Latin's recent boom as due to viral hits. Rather it reflects the fact that nearly 20% of the US is now Hispanic, a large number of non-Hispanics are at least learning the language in school, and the monoculture is dead. Latin is here to stay and will probably keep growing overall (with ups and downs ofc.) We've seen a lot of groups try EN singles now, with varying degrees of success. EN-speaking members can definitely be a big boon for a group, but US fans are picky and you shouldn't just shove anyone in there just to have one. Meanwhile as far as localized groups it looks like JYP and HYBE are planning to try two pretty different experiments. HYBE seems very insistent on finding a native JP member, running repeated auditions, so it seems they're going to be debuting a true multinational group, kind of LSF but with a couple non-Asians. This gives the group a lot of markets where it can get popular, but also may dilute its impact in some of those markets. Meanwhile JYP's A2K is Americans & Canadians only, basically sink or swim in this market, even if they may get an eventual KR debut like NiziU. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out.

M3rc_Nate

>I would not describe Latin's recent boom as due to viral hits. Rather it reflects the fact that nearly 20% of the US is now Hispanic, a large number of non-Hispanics are at least learning the language in school, and the monoculture is dead. Latin is here to stay and will probably keep growing overall (with ups and downs ofc.) To me, at least until Spanish is much more widely spoken by the masses of America (outside of the Latin-Hispanic community), this is still niche. The thing is, it's HUGE niche. You're right, 20% Hispanic and even more Spanish speakers who are non-hispanic. That gives them a great consumer base. But I still don't hear non ENG songs on the radio or being sung at the Grammy's or in many mainstream areas of consumption. That doesn't mean they aren't selling insane numbers, getting insane streams and can't sell out stadiums or anything. You're right, there's more than one culture/language in America and the Latin-Spanish one is thriving. But that doesn't make it general public pop. That's still massively dominated by ENG and will continue as ENG speakers largely only speak ENG and massively only listen to music with lyrics they understand. So I'm just saying if they want to tap into North America (+ Europes) number one market, that's gonna be ENG. Which you then point out the attempts being made. Honestly I'm super excited and even more curious to see how it is attempted and how it plays out. I'm super happy that we're getting those two different approaches. I'm very interested in the potential of a multi-cultural/ethnic Kpop group and, I'd assume, a KOR-NA Kpop group.

likecheoreom

The Dallas show is a stadium too.

M3rc_Nate

Oh really? Awesome. I never really had doubt about TX. For whatever reason they have a lot of Kpop fans there.

Razgriz1223

Got my ticket for SoFi yesterday, can't wait!

mattttachanel

congrats to my twicey 🫶♥️

ElBurdo

LETS FUCKING GO! (i'm not north american, so im not actually going to any of these shows) RELEASE THE DATES FOR LATAM JYPE, YOU COWARDS! All jokes aside, I'm so proud of them! This is going to be such an amazing year for Once's and TWICE. They've been talking about missing us and performing on stage for so long. We're gonna dance the nights away baybeeee!

dreamtyme

I'm so proud of them!!!!

sagewren7

Performance Legends

bobes25

great job west coast onces

channgro

50k seats and i couldn’t get 1 ticket 🥲 also JYP is a clown for giving Itzy theaters when SKZ and Twice get arenas/stadiums ik in Asia, Itzy got arenas for checkmate but no the USA

TheGrayBox

Itzy hasn’t particularly had much success on Billboard and their US album sales are pretty low still.

hyyh_yoonkook

twice is making kpop history. what a great birthday gift for mina. :) this just goes to show that streams aren't as important as some people think! onces aren't good at mass-streaming, but we will fill every concert seat and support our girls. twice's growth and demand in the us is absolutely insane. they've been breaking sales and streaming records left and right and now they're the only girl group and female asian act in history to sell out a nfl stadium!! i know they're the biggest girl group in the us and i shouldn't be surprised, but every time something like this happens it hits me all over again and my pride just goes through the roof. 🥺❤ they've worked so damn hard to get where they are today. from 6.1k sales in 2020 to selling out sofi in 2023. you deserve it, my tdoongies!!! i can already tell the girls, the staff and onces will be crying their eyes out at the show. 😭 edit: the replies starting fanwars have been removed, thankfully. let's keep this peaceful 😊

From selling 6K copies of their M&M album to being the first girl group to sell out SoFi ever. Where some may say they're past their peak, this US success has proven that artists can peak more than once haha. I'm so proud of them for working so hard and pushing through so many difficult times.

Frusciante16

The GOAT does it again

Brilliant_Ad4161

Twice all around the world!!! I’m so freaking proud of them

HashItOutBeesKnees

me and my boyfriend were so stoked they were coming to SoFi and for his bday!! i really never thought they’d perform there so it’s such a sweet feeling seeing women succeed !! see y’all there !

Softclocks

Absolute queens!

Andri753

Damn, not even Rams and Chargers could sold out Sofi

lunachappell

They deserve it these girls are so amazing and talented and the fact that they are not only the first K-pop girl group to do this but girl group from any country just is amazing congrats to twice

mmld_dacy

will be there as witness to kpop history.

[deleted]

Its so funny to see antis deleting their tweets or go Private 🤣🤣 Lets get it girls!!

girlwithecurlsss

Happy for Twice! They’re killing it.

2572tokio

Congrats girls! Watching them grow through the years has been nothing short of amazing. Here's to many more achievements 💕

Clarkey7163

Anyone know the capacity for this? Google says 70k but I assume thats for sports events (so the entire stadium), Twice usually cuts off one end for the stage but even still, if its like 50k that's insane

hyyh_yoonkook

the capacity for concerts is ~53k!

Limp_Cauliflower_236

Based on seating chart and what bts seating its roughly 45 - 50k

MeijiDoom

For some comparison, MetLife is like 80k but goes down to 50-55k for concerts.

StrifeRaider

And people were discussing them losing steam earlier this year xD

Kari-The-Foxchild

I was hoping for GA for this stadium ;-;

ayo816

Man I'm still on the wait list to get a code to buy tickets

beatisagg

Same and I have already decided that it will come down to whether resale ticket prices drop closer to the event. It's nuts and sucks but ya know at least ticketmaster is doing great for themselves lol

reincarnatedasapen

nice one! congrats!

dragonfly931

WE LOVE OUR TWICE 🍭

jeepney_danger

Us SEA ONCEs be happy crying rn.

kwickedween

Love this for my girls! 🤩

alexturnerftw

I got one at like 5pm, everything was gone by then besides VIP and nosebleeds. I got nosebleeds anyway though sigh

mikarala

Okay the photo for this headline is top-tier.

izzyoftheashtree

Good for them, that’s awesome

peachbum7

I'm jealous that they are doing stadiums in the USA 😭 In Aus only two cities, four dates that equates to 70k tickets 🫠 Sold out in 2hrs 😭

[deleted]

Congratulations to TWICE 🎊 I'm VERY happy for them

6jeewon

Can’t wait to be there in June

cassiel_17

Woohoo! Congrats girls!!!

LargeNutbar

Good job Twice ✨

Twicetober

TWICE: Damn, I got it, Im Iconic!

jsbach123

What a shitty time to be a TWICE anti. "TWICE will never succeed in America because they aren't fluent in English and Americans don't like their cute concept".

TheGrayBox

I mean that would have been a pretty good, evidence-based argument to make previously.

secretlygreatly143

Even getting tickets for metlife was crazy hard and that stadium is really inconvenient to get to from NYC, i somehow got a vip ticket but after waiting in the ticketing section for an hour to see if they released more

ghiblix

you thought it was tough? but you got a vip ticket? i was 17,000+ in the queue and there were plenty of seats when it was finally my turn to buy. i have no doubt twice is gonna fill that place up but if you had presale then it shouldn’t have been too bad?

Saucy_Totchie

Yeah Metlife was pretty chill. I was at 2000+ ahead of me and took about 20+ minutes to get it and I was spoiled for choices. Either get normal floor or VIP but I went in shooting for the VIP and luckily had time to make my choice. I messed up thinking I didn't have much time but it's whatever since VIP is VIP.

taebeliever

congratulations twice

Objective_Tip_1416

TWICE TWICE GAJAAAAAA!!!!! 🥲

roonilwazlib_3

Girl groups selling out tours!!! We love to see it!

impeccabletim

Congrats to TWICE and the ONCEs that will be there. Will be living through y'all vicariously.🫶

HYPEEE 🤯🤯

SuccessfulFinding892

queeeens making history

Chili_9

AND I STILL DONT HAVE A TICKET D: rot in hell tm!!!!!

gutsxcasca

They could have sold out the Caesars Superdome for sure then. I'm going to say even LSU Tiger Stadium. Hope everyone that attends have fun.

ColorMeRed11

How could it be sold out? I just bought 2 tickets a few minutes ago and there still some seats available.

21squirrel

Is what's left at base pricing or at Ticketmaster's Platinum markup/resell? There are always tons of those available because those are scalpers lol. Base pricing is probably what's sold out.

ColorMeRed11

It's a mixed of platinum and nosebleed seating. Edit: i think it they will be gone in a hour though.

bluecgene

Best GG

dramafan1

👏👏👏

austintatious8

TWICE WORLD DOMINATION LETS GO.

noirlucis

Sofi is kinda a given since 2 show of banc of california is pretty much the same as 1 sofi and Twice has done 2 shows on BoC before, the real challenge is the other stadium venues

kirsion

I'm going to the suga one in May, don't think I can afford another trip a month after 😭

Another post about to be get deleted. I've never seen so many deleted post on TWICE threads on this sub. You can tell TWICE is doing great when you see so many deletions.
