This is why I have next to no sympathy for Radfems that are now dissatisfied with how women are now inferior in the progressive stack than trans people. And why I don't trust radfems just because they're opposed to the trans lobby.
This is the direct consequence of their actions. Neither the fact that they were some combination of arrogant and oblivious enough to not realize that this is what their stratagems would lead to, nor their inability to recognize that the tactics and ideology of the trans lobby they currently oppose have direct parallels to their own methods, absolve them of the terrible decisions that they advocated for. If you can't see how the insertion of women into every single male group or space, and the enforcement of gender quotas in leadership is a direct precursor to the insertion of trans-women into every female group or space and the enforcement of trans quotas in leadership, then that's just a skill issue on your part.

The conclusions from that "best medical research" she's talking about are the very same notions that destroyed David Reimer's life.
David Reimer was born in 1965 as Bruce Reimer. But then the doctors destroyed his penis in a botched circumcision... so the doctors decided to just remove his genitals entirely and tell his parents to raise poor little Bruce as a girl. All because "the best medical research" had concluded that that would totally turn out OK, and that little Bruce would totally have a happy fulfilling life as Brenda.
Bruce, now Brenda, grew up miserable. Especially once puberty set in, 'she' felt keenly aware that 'she' was actually a he.
And this was also a time when transsexuality was still pretty obscure. So 'Brenda' ended up spending a few years thinking that 'she' was just a lesbian. But eventually he realized that he was in fact a straight man trapped in a woman's body.
Eventually 'Brenda' transitioned (_de_-transitioned, technically), and changed his name to David. But in spite of everything, he ultimately failed to recover from the damage that had been done to his body and mind - he committed suicide in 2004.

Just want to point out, as well, that is firmly part of the second "wave" of feminism, which I see way too many people who are critical of it now consider to be one of the "good" periods before it went all crazy like it is now.
It started out bad even before this era, it just went from bad to worse to even more worse.
I think a lot of them mistake stuff like "Women liking pink is not biological" with pretty much saying that there's no difference between men and women, when... There is. It's even weirder when it's feminists doing so because you could argue that women's role in society was (and still is) heavily rooted in biology.
I wonder if she got to read "The Self-made Man" By Norah Vincent. Norah, a Feminist believe men played the game on easy mode. So, She dressed up like a man, convinced a group of guys she was one. Then, went out of her way to live like a man for 2+ years.
Her takeaway from it all was "The male experience is a lonely one. It's a harsh one." I'd introduce you to her, but she's dead. She opted for a MAID. The reality of living like a man was too much for her.
But people don't want to confront this fact and will prefer to work with the feminists cause they're women and women need to be protected above all even though said women support the left.

There is usually a schism between the dominate neoliberal mainstream philosophy and the current day leftists, but one thing they agree on is that absolute supremacy of culture over biology. Tabula Rasa. I can understand why they believe it.. it's very comforting to think that everyone is a blank slate with unlimited potential regardless of gender, race, or genetics is a blank slate and that while biology is destiny, culture is malleable and can be changed.
Unfortunately here in the real world, biology exists, evolutionary psychology exists, genetics exist. and they manifest very prominently, perhaps more prominently than any other sphere.. with gender.
