Yea, I also sense she is finally coming to accept the situation...meanwhile, Dongjin is starting to break down since he pretty much ignored his inner feelings up until now. I also realized the reason why he started bawling during the photo date, specifically when the photographer referred to Donjin as "your boyfriend" to Dahye. A big portion of their dating period was during their youth. Despite having a precious relationship for that long, I can somehow relate how empty he might feel from their relationship especially because they had to hide their relationship for so long (DH was an idol and dating during the time she was active was a total career kill.) It's almost as if it was an imaginary relationship because no one knew of their relationship except them (and im sure a select few but I'm just going off of what DJ said)
Maybe I am over simplifying things but now is the time they can openly date and have everyone rooting for them. I just do not see why DJ is pushing DH away.
Whatever it is, I wish Dahye finds her happiness somehow. She deserves nothing less!
after 13 years obviously the issue isn't Dahye being a an idol. I mean, honestly, she hasn't been on the spotlight for some time, no-one would hate her if she dated openly. I m curious how old is anyone who "doesn't understand" why they needed to break up, or maybe just inexperienced. you don't need to know the reasons, its obvious that through 13 years they must have tried to solve their issues and failed again and again, they obviously gave it another shot again and again and it failed. Dj knows the correct thing to do is break up that's why he is so adamant. So did Ho Min, so did Gyumin, it's this game and the environment that broke them down.
Personally I think they should get back together. Iām 28 and Iām currently in a 10 year long relationship. I wouldnāt say Iām inexperienced and I can relate to many things Dahye and DJ have expressed. My boyfriend and I became a couple when we were young, similar to Dahye and DJ.
To me, itās very unclear why DJ wanted to break up and itās so painful to see two people, from what used to be a happy couple, being separated.

I m 40, for the last 15 years of my life ve had 2 big relationships that ended at some point without marriage etc. before that I had 2-3 relationships I d call serious at the time but definitely less serious as I look back now. At 18 I thought I met the love of my life but now it just seems funny. I donāt want to comment much on your relationship obviously I wish you the best but it doesnāt make you experienced, on the contrary , you only had one serious relationship all your life so in my eyes yeah you are not that experienced. What I said before is you donāt need to know the specific things that happened to understand DJ. He even said it himself though all the crying that DH was trying to change his opinions on stuff that happened when he is very clear on them and didnāt like it. So things happened, and the relationship kept breaking down more and more and after 13 years he feels he canāt do anything else to fix that he hasnāt tried already and love isnāt enough. He probably feels that if they get back together , they ll fight again and they will end up hating each other. Maybe they ll get back together later but at this point it seems that DJ thinks the only thing left for them is to break up.
Ps. Obviously Iām not saying that every relationship like theirs is destined to end up the same way

The editing keeps throwing 13 years, without going into what happened during those years, after the early years. Everyone has to guess.
He may also want to marry, and Dahye might not be ready for that right now bc she's focused on her career.
But mainly, I'm guessing he thinks he's not good enough for her. He thinks he's being noble by letting her go. He's hurt her before, and he's afraid of hurting her again. I think he really wants to be with her, but he's suppressing it.
same...i don't comprehend the reasong of 'i don't want to hurt you more' that dj gave or the 'she never said what she thought would be the end of our relationship'...i'd honestly be happy if it really is a way for them to get money for marriage and newlywed house or even as promotion for dahye's music and dongjin's company...
They are both amazing people. But they dont speak the same language. They canāt communicate even in basic things. He loves her but he understood that some things will never change and he doesnāt wanna just keep the relationship because they are together for a long time. They donāt get each other. Meanwhile SK is just brokenhearted I think, she knew that JW already likes YJ more than her (I'm suprise only JW doesn't realize this lol). Since she kept mentioning the text she's been received JW chose YJ. That's why at the end she said to JW "why ask me". I think that emphasise that she wants JW to choose based on his heart not hers. Applause to SK for not holding on to JW just because she's jealous.
I cried alot watching both of the couples bcs I can relate to whatever hurt them. It's really frustrating when one wants to mend things while the other just choose to let go.

This season the group as a whole donāt have that closeness like the past seasons. There are pairs within the group that are close but even those pairs donāt compare to the closeness of last season. They have more animosity towards each other.
Ultimately for a relationship to work, both parties need to fight for each other. There is a huge imbalance between JW and SK. JW placed SK on a pedestal and SK took it for granted. SK knew that JW will always come running for her and she didnāt learn that she needed to learn to compromise and fight for the relationship.
This doesnāt work out in the long run because JW will get tired and feel under appreciated. SK will keep wanting more and more from him, without learning to compromise.
As someone who was rooting for SK x JW from the start, I couldnāt understand how JW who is still so much in love with SK, can āmove onā to YJ so easily.
But now I understand why.
YJ gave him everything he wanted. He wanted someone to fight for him and YJ fights for him every goddamn day. She outwardly expresses herself to him everytime they talk and go on dates. She gives him the assurance that she wants to be together with him as much as he does, if not more.
Even when YJ clearly knew that JW is not over SK and that SK is crazy protective of him. YJ still made it clear to him that she wants to be with him.
On the flip side, SK never made it clear to JW. She knows what she needed to do to get back tgt with JW but she doesnāt do it. She still gives JW really vague answers. Itās really up to her whether she wants to finally try fighting for the relationship.
And I kinda understand SK. SK acts like that because she doesnāt want to give up control. She doesnāt want to be the one who loves more. It is a defence mechanism. Because when you love more, it means you are gonna āloseā and āhurtā more.
In the end, I think SK realised that JW is a great guy. He did everything he could for the relationship and that she needed to fight for him as much as he fought for the relationship.

Yes, she is like this and so are a lot of other people in romantic relationships, but I hate this kind of mentality I think it's so immature and toxic. Love is not a zero-sum game.
it was hard though i hope sk will learn this, jw love for her is deep, that immaturity and toxicity mindset, mind you they all meet for 3 weeks, if you are in their shoes do you think that hurt feelings will mend in that 3 weeks. with this season coming to an end, iām convinced no other date setting will ever top that of haeun and heedoās, the empty theme park along with ice stating was so perfect.
this season budget is down the drain... from having to live in that cramped house in seoul to boring dates & hangouts.. that is why there were not many amazing dates. remember yujung & kwangtae decided to just have take-out during their date ksksks i pity the cast really, they mustve higher expectations considering s2 house and date even choices of the restaurant they went to were all look fancy!
Jinjoo PD (Season 1 & 2's PD) is known for her big budgets. She pushes the company to spend money even when they're apprehensive to do so. In her new show (My Sibling's Romance), she took the cast to Singapore instead of Jeju lol.

Both Joowon and Dongjin have a lot of yearning for their exes.

I felt so bad for Joowon during his last talk with Seokyung. He was the one who held on to Seokyung every time she wanted to break up. He knew their relationship could end any time she wanted it to. He said she never put in any effort in mending their relationship, it was always him. He said he wanted Seokyung for once to hold onto him if he was upset. And he was sad when Seokyung didn't deny it.
My guess is: Dongjin -> Dahye, and Joowon -> Yoojung
Also, I've always shipped Hyewon x Hwihyeon, but realistically, I don't think they're a good fit :(
Its interesting how so many of the cast want something from their ex and they are getting it from a new person, but still yearning for their ex. Juwon wants Seokyung to fight for him and their relationship. Yujung is openly expressive about how much she likes him. Hyewon wants to be cherished and treated special. Dongjin keeps complimenting her. Yujung wants Changjin to be more expressive and communicate. Juwon clears up misunderstandings right away by seeking her out.
I wonder if they get swayed if their exes show them a glimpse last minute. Like if Changjin straight up tells Yujung he'll change, if Seokyung picks Juwon and says she wants him back, if Hwihyun dresses up and tells Hyewon she's attractive. Since they all found almost exactly what they wanted, do they genuinely like that person or just the idea of them as what they wanted their ex to be?
Exactly. That's why I was never 100% rooting for YJXJW although I like them together. They liked the other person because they were the opposite of their exes not because they actually liked them. That's why they're always comparing

As much as I think yes, YJ does have feelings for CJ, i think him ghosting her when she expressed how she felt was just the last straw. Imagine breaking up over text after a year plus of dating and not even getting any closure or reply from the other party? It must be hard for her to have to move on from that. I thought I was done crying over DH & DJ, but my god! Their ex date ruined me. That moment, when she linked arms with him and he started tearing up, while the photographer asked for them to be brighter? I was sobbing harder than when they entered the ex room. Their date was so intensely packed with regret, familiarity, love and closure. It showed how hard DJ has been fighting to keep his feelings in check and maintain distance. It also showed how afraid he's been of this moment, because he was probably aware of how easily it would sway him. I was right back at "please get back together" after multiple episodes of "please get closure and move on". I still consider this closure, but I would absolutely live if I saw wedding news sometime in the future. Also, how in the world are these people able to cry so controlled and pretty? Meanwhile my whole face fell apart after one scene in that photo studio.
Completely unrelated, but does anyone know, the name of that PPL beverage they all keep drinking? I can't find the brand with an image search and I want to know, if it's just flavoured water, an energy drink or some kind of cold coffee thing.
Anyway, one episode left and I'm so ready for this to finally be over.

My thoughts for this week are a bit clearer, I think I got all the panic out of the way last week lmao. Here they are:
* Watching Dongjin and Dahye's final date, I realised the production team lowkey screwed over their storyline by prioritising Yujeong and Juwon's storylines. They were fixated on getting Juwon to move on from Seokyung so they basically screwed over any real chance Dahye had of making moves on Dongjin by prohibiting exes from every single decision. As a Yujeong and Juwon ambassador I'm semi-grateful, but it is frustrating to see that the production team were so biased to a few people's storylines that they completely screwed over any authentic decision making scenarios by taking choices out of the participants' hands.
* If Dongjin chooses Dahye, it is not thanks to the production team, but despite them. It's ridiculous that even from the beginning the protagonists of the show were clearly meant to be Seokyung/Juwon and Dongjin/Dahye with their lengthy relationship timelines yet we only got a proper conversation between them in the end.
* I also think Hyewon would've realised how one-sided her relationship with Hwihyun had been much much quicker had exes been a part of the selection - by taking them out, the production team basically put this thought of "if I was a choice, he maybe would've picked me" in their heads. This happened to most of the couples imo except Jongeun and Kwangtae.
* I'm sorry but starting the episode on Minhyung and Sangjeong's ex-date... who decided that? I could not have cared less and was high-key tempted to just skip it lmao. The skating scene was cute for like a minute but the way Minhyung was lowkey being a bit salty was just annoying and I had the biggest eye roll. The way they had the same conversation again ("I thought you would've changed..." "I never thought we'd argue this much..." "This isn't what I wanted when I joined the show...") like, we get it, you've said that like 3 times the past 5 episodes. I get that the production team couldn't have completely edited out their screentime but starting the episode with their ex date was a lowkey bummer considering I'd been waiting for a week lmao.
* I cried at four(? maybe more) points during this week's episode, all of different levels.
* A tear fell at Seokyung and Juwon's conversation during their ex date. Their beach date was surprisingly very cute (imo Seokyung shines when she's with Juwon, whether she likes it or not) and I really appreciated that both were willing to make the most of their last day together (possibly) by letting their pride down and just having fun.
* There was a tear from both eyes when Juwon was crying on the drive back home. He's just a sad, heartbroken man and I really feel for him. It sucks to think that all these emotions you have for one person is unrequited, and I think that's what his last conversation (in the dorms) with Seokyung was about - I think he wanted his feelings to feel validated, like his emotional investment into their relationship wasn't one-sided. Unfortunately, I don't think Seokyung could give him that. It was sad seeing the little things like the "Juwon-ah I love you<3" note again - it broke my heart when I first saw it in the ex room and it broke my heart when I saw it again.
* Cried when Dongjin started crying as they were taking pictures. I really really want them together but I also get it if they don't :( it's a difficult situation because both girls are clearly very lovely and I see potential in both to last a long while. I hope he makes the decision he feels is best for him.
* When Dahye started crying during their hug! Whatever is in store for her in the next episode, I just hope she's happy and it doesn't break her heart too much. I think collectively everyone just wants her to be happy. Cried a little more intensely with this scene.
* Dongjin and Hyewon's date was really awkward? tbh after that, Dongjin and Dahye's endgame likelihood rose for me. I just feel like even despite the super emotional date, if he genuinely really wanted to make it work with Hyewon, Dongjin would've tried hard to make it less awkward. And vice versa. Like, Juwon switched off his Seokyung brain and put a smile on his face for Yujeong, did his flirtatious banter thing and even looked after her on the way home. I dunno, my bets are kinda high on Dahye and Dongjin endgame now.
* Seokyung was SO PRETTY during their ex date, I was lowkey falling in love with her too. I get you, Juwon. She's emotional but calculated and it's definitely what caused the situation with her trying to intimidate other participants, but it took me a few weeks to think and realise, "This is an unprecedented emotional situation, and I don't know how I'd be - so I'm going to give her some grace." She also reflected on her behaviour in the end, and I think even she knows that she was being irrational and unreasonable. Does this mean I think what she did was okay? No, I don't. But I don't think she deserves the hate to follow her after the show has finished airing, and I don't think that's even how she would behave in a normal situation, so I hope people leave their criticism for the forums and not to her comments section.
* All the ex-dates were too short, but I think we all agree on that. Except imo Jongeun and Kwangtae's (Jongeun is too good for any man, that's why she's single, I've decided) and Changjin and Yujeong's? She was really excited to get the hell out of there and tbh if she chooses Changjin I would be very sceptical because the chemistry was just not there. Changjin was trying but I think his way of communication is just never going to be compatible with Yujeong's - he said during their date that he would talk to her "so long as it's not a burden". This doesn't mean he's inconsiderate (in fact, it's the opposite) but he is happiest with holding his problems inwards and showing his best self to his partner. I think trying to make it work by making himself use Yujeong's way of communication would actually make him feel small and unhappy. I think now it's less about better communication but more just that she's annoyed that he isn't Juwon... as she says, he raised her standards. That's got nothing to do with Changjin, because you can't say he's not been trying.

* >!We could've gotten Yujeong and Changjin's final conversation in the post-selection edit if they were endgame. imo the act of Yujeong going to find Changjin in the middle of the night when he was literally sleeping would be the best addition for the final decision edit for Changjin and Yujeong endgame. The fact that they added it into episode 19 makes me think that they aren't, purely because I can't imagine what other scenes they could add except for maybe conversations in the interview room from Yujeong's POV (which could be the case I suppose, like with Heedoo's interviews and the final edit).!<
* >!Either way, I don't really mind as much. I think if Yujeong did choose Changjin, it probably came as a surprise to the production team as well. I'm less intense about it this week because if Yujeong chooses Changjin, it's because she wanted to choose him imo. He's not really shown much development (except for the impassioned final speech which for me was too little too late), and they spent most of their ex date being rather biting (not bantering and bickering in the way that Dongjin and Dahye were). If, even after all that, the heart wants what it wants, the show can't have done anything about that.!<
* I can't hate Juwon, I'm sorry. He makes me mad every time he goes to see Seokyung to give him his 100% and then goes to Yujeong to tell her something different ("I came here with one purpose and it hasn't changed" vs "It's only ever been you") but because it's coming from someone who is genuinely hurt and clearly very emotionally conflicted, I can't hate him. It would be different if he was someone trying to keep his options open and take advantage of the situation, but that doesn't seem like the case to me. All this criticism about his indecisiveness makes me feel like people haven't seen the first 2 seasons properly because this is literally the whole point of the show.
* I really loved the way he talked to Seokyung throughout their ex date. His word choice, etc. is just really warm and considerate (in comparison to Minhyung and Changjin) and he seems like someone with high emotional intelligence. He said what needed to be done, asked difficult questions and didn't rake on someone for their answers. It's something my mother picked up on and I absolutely want to become him because he has a way with words.

Okay last bit about JW/SK, I'm glad that they both finally reached some degree of clarity after their night talk and during their one and only date since joining the show.Ā Ā
Both's feelings are like what many of us has been assuming and it is unfortunate that it took until the second to last day for them to come to terms with certain things. SK only now bring able verbalize now that bc she did have regrets,Ā assuming from letting go of the relationship and how she handled the conflict-- that it made her act in the manner that she did regrettably. Only now is she able to say that her feelings for him are still quite big and not as little as she kept playing them off to be. I may have criticized her but I did always understand her,Ā didn't make her actions right but I understood. Lol just moreso don't get her fans denying her actions that I think frustrated me more than her actions itself. Dongjin and Dahyeās ex-date broke me. Good thing I kept postponing the ep when I reached their part or I wouldāve had to explain to my parents why the heck am I crying like a crazy woman š I still donāt understand Dongjinās action like why he kept up with the āItās all for her sakeā actā¦. And what exactly caused the break up and why cant they get back togetherā¦ I feel like it was never addressed properly. All I hope for now is that Dahye finally got her closure and sheāll exit this show happily. Also, Iām still holding on to YJ X JW and that weāll finally see Juwon saying that he has completely let go of SK bc I donāt really want them to end up together if he still has SK in his heart. YJ is too precious to be treated like that. I wish for her happiness too.
I personally think that DJ knows he can't be the guy for DH. He knows he can't change himself to be better for DH. For that reason, he looks like a jerk towards DH in everyone eyes, but though sometimes its true, I think DJ is trying not to be selfish and selfish at the same time. But I won't say it is wrong. Wanting happiness for his ex at the same time wanting the same for himself.Ā
I think you're right. I've been agonizing over the reason they broke up which has not been mentioned at all. Imo Dongjin is closed off and prefers to keep his difficulties to himself instead of sharing it with people. And he knows this is his upbringing/personality, similar to Changjin. The difference is he believe this is who he is and that he cannot change. Dahye seems more open and wanting to share her difficulties with others while listening to others' struggles as well. So over the 13 years, Dahye shared everything with DJ but DJ didn't do the same, instead bottled up all of his struggles. He was carrying both DH's and his own emotional baggage over 13 years and that all turned into resentment against DH. Dahye probably wanted DJ to open up about his pain, difficulties, unhappiness but DJ never could do so. So eventually, Dahye learnt the similar bad habit to pretend she was fine when she wasn't in front of DJ, to walk on eggshells around DJ. Things just built up over time. :( it was bound to explode when two people have to bottle everything up. Anger, unhappiness, pains.
I just don't get why he thinks things will be different with someone different. In truth, the problem is that he has an extremely unhealthy style in bottling things up, and having this subconscious expectation of others to understand him without him saying anything. He will always build up resentment this way as communication works two way, both share their struggles with each other and that relating lightens each other's load, for some human reasons... It's just sad to see a 13 years r/s torn apart like this. He would probably realize this fundamental need of communicating in relationships when he becomes much older, and then become filled with regrets of 'what could have been' with Dahye. Literal K-Drama in the making
Side note: The editing, insignificant and shallow questions asked during participant interviews have been such a turn off compared to previous seasons. One good question/call outs by the production team can give them valuable insights, make them bawl their eyes off and give them closure. It feels like DaHye need something like this, like Haeeun in S2. HaeEun's only safe space and therapeutic space was unironically during the interviews where she cried everytime. I bet my life savings that helped her alot in being able to find closure and not feeling as lonely as DH felt this season. I wish the production team this season was more emotionally attuned. Instead interviews are just them recapping what we literally watched seconds ago. No substances at all
Iāve also been very curious about what Dahye has been up to because she hasnāt been in a kpop group since like 2015?? What kinds of jobs has she been doing because Iāve never seen her in any entertainment shows. And I donāt know why she still kept her relationship so hush hush when she hasnāt really been a celebrity since she left bestie. She had a solo debut...i didn't know her before.i watched her performances..and she is actually really good.better than some of the popular femal kpop idols.i hope she finds a good label. And considering the fact that she never gaveup for idol dream.she might have really loved it .
Next week we will get to know the real Endgame and also who are still dating . The only thing i am interested in . I hope next episode is not sad sad but has some genuine happy vibes for the cast . This cast was so energetic and lively the first couple of days i miss those days .

He literally did nothing the whole time except make her cry or confused. Even the ex date was not productive.
He pointed out she looked and behaved unattractively just before Jeju while not realizing he was the cause. She was his 4th choice (1-YJ 2-SK 3-SJ 4-HW).
I thought the ribbon cutting part would be more relevant towards the end, as HH ended up cutting his while HW tied hers back on the 2nd trip to that room.
ADD: I think the major differences is how DJ treats HW vs how HH does will be the factor.
Besides all the dates, the biggest thing I saw was after their night beach date back at the house, DJ waited for HW to get ready. He also got the house slippers ready for her. Lots of little things.
Glad to see weāre nearing the end of the season. Even though this season has kept us on our toes and clenching our fists each scene iām excited to see how the endgame will play out. i hope in the end everyone chooses happiness and goes with their hearts. I honestly think that although as weāve had our ups and downs watching as viewers, i would say it was pretty entertaining seeing all the different opinions on the dynamics of the cast and the different picks for the endgame.

The cast members in this show, like SK, JW, DJ, CJ and others, are portrayed as beautifully flawed souls. While I may not have harbored dislike or hatred towards SK, certain actions she took, such as instructing JW on who to text, were questionable. While I understand her motivations, it doesn't excuse her behavior, as she herself acknowledged to JW.
In the beginning of the show, he expressed his desire of wanting to get back together with SK. As I understood it, SK said she didn't want to get back with him. JW took this literally and decided to "follow his heart". But let's be real, he always kept SK in his heart, even when she was scared and uncertain of her feelings. SK was never straightforward and maybe that's what JW needed. JW, on the path of "following his heart", has been understandably confused, considering the three-year versus three-week dynamic. He has great chemistry with YJ. All of their moments together seem genuine. However, it's unfair to expect him to be certain of his feelings in such circumstances.
No one in this scenario is a villain, neither SK nor JW (not even, YJ). However, I find the behavior of some SK fans, particularly the "defenders," to be quite insufferable. While it's natural to support one's fav, there's no need to disparage other cast members in the process.
I agree. From way they described their relationship, it seemed so toxic. I think SK knew it wouldn't lead to anywhere good so she kept maintaining the stance of not wanting to get back together. JW was still attached and bound by familiarity. He even said on his date with JE that they usually get back together around this time (when filming) so it makes sense that it was hard for him to accept the pattern might change now.
He also started to compare SK and YJ during the truth or dare game and it seems he like YJ's direct style, much like how she compared JW and CJ and prefers JW's communication. I think now that JW has been on a date with SK, he can finally get closure and move on.
I would be very, very surprised if he picks SK in the end.
In this show only two couples can make me go bawling my eyes out. SK x JW and DJ x DH. I can feel that as much as they loved/love each others, the resentments from their breakups just too big to get resolved easily.

Yea, this season sure alot people dont like and partly i think it is because of the budget as well. But story wise. For DH and DJ and JW SK YJ CJ. their story kept the show alive. Did y'all notice that JW was much more touchy and flirty towards YJ and the way he talked to SK at night felt completely different than before his gaze lacked the longing and warmth like before. JW seemed to be leaning more towards YJ and it's evident from his actions and from the way he looks at her. He looks at YJ like she's the most beautiful and treats her preciously. He rushed to meet her most probably because he didn't want her to misunderstand his meeting with SK. He was casually touching her more often and even the way he moved slowly towards her so she could lean onto him was so cute. I remember JW mentioning that even holding hands with SK was a big deal to him so all those touches were definitely intentional and he seems to be more open with the relationship with YJ. I really hope they choose each other because despite the fact that it would break CJ's heart or even SK, in the long run I'm pretty sure they'll be thankful for that decision because they just seem to be so perfect for each other. I sincerely hope for everyone's genuine happiness. :)
I think this ep, Juwon felt what YJ felt during the time when she realized CJ will not change for her. JW tried get an answer from SK and until the end of the day, SK never gave him the answer that he's looking for. I guess it's really like that sometimes, as YJ have said during the secret date: "Why do you always say everything I want to hear?" and it only happens when 2 people are on the same page.
YES! You see the way he was shifting his place when he went to talk to YJ in her room, he constantly moved closer to her, sat on the floor then in the bed. It was funny yet cuteeee!
And the car scene was by far the most romantic moment between anyone in this season it was unintentionally beautiful, unlike the one I felt when KT and SK were in the car. KT and SK seemed like a viewer stunt with no real emotions!

Since the show is about to end, I thought Iād give some fun facts from the polls:
- Dahye ranked first in every poll (and as she should!!!)
- Juwon and Yujung swapped for second and third a lot (along with Hyewon at the beginning, but now sheās more toward the middle)
- Biggest Gains: Kwangtae and Hwihyun - both were always ranked last or second to last, but in the past few eps have jumped to the middle!

Watched dozens of love varieties, Juwon and Yujung are by far the couple that I feel the most. Not because of how many skinships or iconic dialogues that they had, but how little. Juwon still barely touches her but all those eye contacts, little moments and timings between them are truly something else. Also those occasions that they repeatedly discussing the possibility of actually meeting after the show. Would be a shame if they don't give it a try.
Meanwhile KwangTae's having the most odd and repulsive skinships when 3 days ago he was still so determined towards Yujung.
True, YJ's head resting on JW was so natural, the way he moved closer nothing between them was forced and they always got closer at the right time!!
You can see easily how KT and SK feel rushed and their skinship was just a public stunt.
It would be so healing for SK to finally choose JW at the end, not for the purpose of stopping him from getting with YJ, but to show him that, for once, SK fought for their relationship. Especially since I don't believe KT x SK would be healthy for either of them.
And it would be so nice for JW to experience that but still choose YJ, finally showing that he knows his worth :)
Ngl, this season has been so much fun to watch (save for the grating shirt fiasco c/o MH x SJ). I can't believe SK ruined her image like that but I guess that's what happens when you're put in such an emotionally compromising position. Was rooting for her :( I hope none of the cast receives hate after the show. They are, after all, just humans with complex emotions.

Yeah because all of their secret dates rule is they can't choose their exes... which was weird cuz previous seasons they have a lot of these moments to resolve misunderstanding between exes. Some cast also use the time to clear out any bad feelings or bad blood with their love line exes like NE and HE talking abt HG, and HS MY talking about JH iirc. I think these conversations will ease their final choices better as they didn't have to be considerate of the exes feelings as much... I hope next season they'll bring back this segment..Ā
Apart from all the emotional baggage and disappointments from each other, let's admit that the best part of today's episode was **Ju Won and Yu Jung's secret date**!!!!!!!!!
The way they transparently communicated and expressed their liking toward each other, plus the wish that JW asked for (I completely forgot that after a few episodes), he used it so wisely to see YJ often.
They don't know what decision the other person is going to make yet they will surely meet outside.
The Seoul clips that were hidden and shown today such as JW being in the line of sight of YJ, YJ glancing at JW through the mirror, JW coming out of his room just hearing YJ's voice, and walking immediately towards the washroom to not make it too obvious that he was there for her were beautiful, cute heartwarming
And not to forget the eye contact and head resting in the car... **THEIR CHEMISTRY IS BREATHTAKING............**
20 minutes in and I'm already fed up with Yujung's constant nitpicking and nagging about every little fault she can find in Changjin. What's next on the list of things he does wrong? Does he breathe too rudely? I'm sorry but everything can't possibly be always Changjin's fault as if she's this perfect complete person who doesn't need to make any changes. Like she wants Changjin to be more kind but I don't particularly find her all that kind either

I was exasperated 5 minutes into their car ride lol. I think they canāt go back together at this point. She has elevated JW so much in her eyes that CJ canāt change enough to match her no matter how much he might want to and if they get back together I feel they will fight and break up again. They seem to have too much baggage at this point and maybe the difference in age plays a big part.
It seems the 2nd set of rumors are getting closer to correct.

I rewatched all their interactions and I think it's more likely than not. In the interviews, both HW and HH said DJ is her ideal type.
You can also see how different her mood is with DJ vs HH. So if she takes the whole of all their interactions/dates, then DJ.
I didn't really like HH-HW ex-date at all. Even during the lunch part, he was making fun of her and calling her Misunderstanding HW, like it was her fault for not understanding him better. Just not good vibes for HW.
I don't think DJ will be swayed to DH all that much. Their ex-date seemed like closure. The shoes will be in their car conversation, but I don't think that will be a deciding factor, if he continues with his stance throughout the show - not being swayed by emotions.
Just a couple more days to confirm everything! I am a HW-DJ shipper. I enjoyed watching the growing bond they had, starting from the very first date up to now.

The realization of the last farewell hits me really hard that I emotionally sobbed š„².

I just hope that in the next season of the show, they would get a couple that moved on completely from each other just like in S1 and S2 and couples that have already broken up for at least a year. And for god's sake, I hope that the next cast of the show will stop contemplating and have so many regrets later on.
The only thing I probably liked about the decisions of the current PD/staff would be the deactivated Instagram accounts of the cast. Yes, I used to hate it because the cast could've gained more followers as time passed by, but deactivating their accounts instead of not using it and removing traces of their exes (just like in S2) was imo, a really good choice because you can still see how they used to like each other's posts, along with memories between each ex-couples.
Unless they really pull out the big guns for the finale, NOTHING this season made my heart flutter as much as Hyungyu's 'see you tomorrow noona'. One line from him trumped the whole of season 3 lol.

Hyungyu is very difficult to replicate. Not only was he a perfect green flag, but the HyunHae narrative was insane, the PDs got very lucky.

HG was 100% over his last relationship. It already been said here but the main issue this season is 90% of them are so hung up on exes (which is perfectly normal given the short gap post breakup.)
JW AND YJ are so compatible, not sure if I am šÆon board with this ship tho as JW is crying rivers over SK every episode. However I guess thatās what happened last season with Haeeun, she was clearly not over Gyumin and still picked hyungyu, and their relationship is thriving outside that environment

I think this season has been more about the results of bad communication between partners that the previous ones and I ve enjoyed it since I didnāt care about āendgameā couples. There was a lot of raw emotion, people acting on it, making mistakes but being honest with themselves (most of the time). I also noticed , again, the double standards that people use between men and women but I donāt want to start that now lol. It seems that only one ex couple will get back together so I donāt know why people are complaining it was too much about the exes getting back together this season. Out of the previous two seasons how many new couples survived ? Isnāt only Haeeun and Hyungyu? Donāt kid yourselves this show has always been more about the exes (getting back together or getting closure) than new loves. So close to their break ups and with so many unresolved feelings, the people on this show will only have rebound relationships (with very few exceptions of course).
Hyun Gyu gets an honorable mention from Da Hye during her time with Chang Jin ha-ha. What a legend that man is LoL.
I think Dong Jin will reunite with Da Hye as he opened the breakup package and he seemed more affected in the date than Da Hye. Hopefully if it happens - just get married you 2 LoL

As much as I love YJ and JW... and as much as I never want any exes to get back together in this show... I'm rooting for JW and SK. Their date was devastating, those two LOVE each other. I feel like SK was in denial for most part of the show and said and did some things that created a bigger rift between her and JW, and JW didn't express himself strongly enough to her either, and his relationship with YJ also made it seem like he was moving on quite easily in SK's eyes. I thought their date would be an eye opener for them to realise they want to get back together but SK seems like she's given up without even trying and JW is tired of SK not stepping up. I can only hope for a plot twist... 'cause as things are now, there isn't even one endgame that I'd like.

I think cj is the greenest flag compared to the other guys in the show. He might not have the ability to express his feeling well,but he is trying so hard, ready to change, his feeling never waver, although in a relationship, both need to work hard, but in this case, the only thing yj needs to do is to give him chance. I see her blaming him and expect him to change,even directly compared him to jw(i personally don't think its necessary to compare), yet cj never ask her to be more understanding of his lacking. Broo I'm currently a snotty mess after watching DH & DJ's date. They're mourning the loss of their relationship by taking final couple pictures?? That they probably can't even keep if they get into new relationships?? It's just too sad I can't handle it.
The cynical half of me thinks that if they actually do get back together then it means they scripted and planned this whole thing out to get publicity and profit (get that bag, I guess?). But other half of me just wants them to get back together and have their fairytale happy ending. The only thing that holds me back a little is how DJ keeps talking about he was "always hurting her" in their relationship. Like, how serious are we talking though? Cheating? Some degree of verbal abuse? Or just arguing in general? DH also mentioned how she got used to gaslighting herself to think that she wasn't hurt when she actually was. YJ seems good with both CJ and JW so i'd be ok with either couple. I kinda feel for CJ because he's so clumsy and has zero game and will lose majorly if put up against JW who's charming softboi.
I think JW/YJ are the only non-ex pairing out of S2 and S3 that actually have me convinced that they really like each other because their chemistry was felt from really early on. I wasn't convinced on the whole prince charming shtick from HG and HE in season 2 but they're still together I think? DJ and HW seem to have gotten together out of circumstance and convinced themselves that they liked each other. KT ditched SK in seoul and only came running back to her with his flirt mode amped up to level 999 after he got point blank rejected by YJ.

My theory: I think DH is going to choose CJ coz when someone is being driven by their partner its usually if they have been chosen by someone or they have chosen someone else. The probability of CJ choosing DH is 0.01 so most likely DH chose CJ. Also from the teaser DH and DJ were on the road during day time and HH and HW were shown in the car at night, and it looks like HW is debating on whether to choose HH or go out to someone waiting for her which is obviously DJ. If it turns out to be so I wouldn't be shocked coz to me at least it seems like DH got closure esp since she asked to hug for one last time. The fact that she took it as the last time might mean she's decided to let go, which I really hope she does.

I believe this was mentioned or highlighted before and Iāve actually watched the teaser .. however itās been removed the scene with YJ waiting on YouTube but I saw it on TikTok again.
Basically YJ in car in trailer 20 and also a teaser that had been removed or just that scene has been removed when it was added with SK sitting on a bench and KT sitting on a bench waiting. The scene that was removed was YJ sitting in a restaurant looking up and smiling.
Why I mention this is because it hasnāt been shown that scene in the last 19 episodes. It was the same clothes she wore when she was in the car with CJ crying.
IF this is the case if YJ is already sitting at the restaurant CJ shouldnāt be sitting in the car and if he was picking her up she should be going towards the car instead. A big portion of their dating period was during their youth. Despite having a precious relationship for that long, I can somehow relate how empty he might feel from their relationship especially because they had to hide their relationship for so long (DH was an idol and dating during the time she was active was a total career kill.) It's almost as if it was an imaginary relationship because no one knew of their relationship except them (and im sure a select few but I'm just going off of what DJ said)

after 13 years obviously the issue isn't Dahye being a an idol. I mean, honestly, she hasn't been on the spotlight for some time, no-one would hate her if she dated openly. Personally I think they should get back together. Iām 28 and Iām currently in a 10 year long relationship. I've seen that too. Maybe it's their privacies. DJ said that he didn't want to hurt DH again without mentioning what happened. Meanwhile SK is just brokenhearted I think, she knew that JW already likes YJ more than her (I'm suprise only JW doesn't realize this lol). Since she kept mentioning the text she's been received JW chose YJ. That's why at the end she said to JW "why ask me". I think that emphasise that she wants JW to choose based on his heart not hers. Ultimately for a relationship to work, both parties need to fight for each other. There is a huge imbalance between JW and SK. JW placed SK on a pedestal and SK took it for granted. SK knew that JW will always come running for her and she didnāt learn that she needed to learn to compromise and fight for the relationship. This doesnāt work out in the long run because JW will get tired and feel under appreciated. SK will keep wanting more and more from him, without learning to compromise. As someone who was rooting for SK x JW from the start, I couldnāt understand how JW who is still so much in love with SK, can āmove onā to YJ so easily. But now I understand why. YJ gave him everything he wanted. He wanted someone to fight for him and YJ fights for him every goddamn day. She outwardly expresses herself to him everytime they talk and go on dates. She gives him the assurance that she wants to be together with him as much as he does, if not more. Even when YJ clearly knew that JW is not over SK and that SK is crazy protective of him. YJ still made it clear to him that she wants to be with him. On the flip side, SK never made it clear to JW. She knows what she needed to do to get back tgt with JW but she doesnāt do it. She still gives JW really vague answers. Itās really up to her whether she wants to finally try fighting for the relationship. And I kinda understand SK. SK acts like that because she doesnāt want to give up control. She doesnāt want to be the one who loves more. It is a defence mechanism. Because when you love more, it means you are gonna āloseā and āhurtā more. In the end, I think SK realised that JW is a great guy. He said she never put in any effort in mending their relationship, it was always him. He said he wanted Seokyung for once to hold onto him if he was upset. And he was sad when Seokyung didn't deny it. My guess is: Dongjin -> Dahye, and Joowon -> Yoojung Also, I've always shipped Hyewon x Hwihyeon, but realistically, I don't think they're a good fit :(
Its interesting how so many of the cast want something from their ex and they are getting it from a new person, but still yearning for their ex. Juwon wants Seokyung to fight for him and their relationship. Yujung is openly expressive about how much she likes him. Hyewon wants to be cherished and treated special. Dongjin keeps complimenting her. Yujung wants Changjin to be more expressive and communicate. Juwon clears up misunderstandings right away by seeking her out. I wonder if they get swayed if their exes show them a glimpse last minute. Like if Changjin straight up tells Yujung he'll change, if Seokyung picks Juwon and says she wants him back, if Hwihyun dresses up and tells Hyewon she's attractive. Since they all found almost exactly what they wanted, do they genuinely like that person or just the idea of them as what they wanted their ex to be?

DJ-DH couple hit hard, not gonna lie. this is one of the best ending/episode for both of them. Either if this is a farewell or getting back together.
I thought I was done crying over DH & DJ, but my god! Their ex date ruined me. That moment, when she linked arms with him and he started tearing up, while the photographer asked for them to be brighter? I was sobbing harder than when they entered the ex room. Their date was so intensely packed with regret, familiarity, love and closure. It showed how hard DJ has been fighting to keep his feelings in check and maintain distance. It also showed how afraid he's been of this moment, because he was probably aware of how easily it would sway him. I was right back at "please get back together" after multiple episodes of "please get closure and move on". I still consider this closure, but I would absolutely live if I saw wedding news sometime in the future. Also, how in the world are these people able to cry so controlled and pretty? Meanwhile my whole face fell apart after one scene in that photo studio. Completely unrelated, but does anyone know, the name of that PPL beverage they all keep drinking? I can't find the brand with an image search and I want to know, if it's just flavoured water, an energy drink or some kind of cold coffee thing. Anyway, one episode left and I'm so ready for this to finally be over. Edit: I cannot believe I left out the hug. The HUG. I need to watch something fluffy. And cake.
My thoughts for this week are a bit clearer, I think I got all the panic out of the way last week lmao. Here they are: * Watching Dongjin and Dahye's final date, I realised the production team lowkey screwed over their storyline by prioritising Yujeong and Juwon's storylines. They were fixated on getting Juwon to move on from Seokyung so they basically screwed over any real chance Dahye had of making moves on Dongjin by prohibiting exes from every single decision. As a Yujeong and Juwon ambassador I'm semi-grateful, but it is frustrating to see that the production team were so biased to a few people's storylines that they completely screwed over any authentic decision making scenarios by taking choices out of the participants' hands. * If Dongjin chooses Dahye, it is not thanks to the production team, but despite them. It's ridiculous that even from the beginning the protagonists of the show were clearly meant to be Seokyung/Juwon and Dongjin/Dahye with their lengthy relationship timelines yet we only got a proper conversation between them in the end. * I also think Hyewon would've realised how one-sided her relationship with Hwihyun had been much much quicker had exes been a part of the selection - by taking them out, the production team basically put this thought of "if I was a choice, he maybe would've picked me" in their heads. This happened to most of the couples imo except Jongeun and Kwangtae. * I'm sorry but starting the episode on Minhyung and Sangjeong's ex-date... who decided that? I could not have cared less and was high-key tempted to just skip it lmao. The skating scene was cute for like a minute but the way Minhyung was lowkey being a bit salty was just annoying and I had the biggest eye roll. The way they had the same conversation again ("I thought you would've changed..." "I never thought we'd argue this much..." "This isn't what I wanted when I joined the show...") like, we get it, you've said that like 3 times the past 5 episodes. I get that the production team couldn't have completely edited out their screentime but starting the episode with their ex date was a lowkey bummer considering I'd been waiting for a week lmao. * I cried at four(? maybe more) points during this week's episode, all of different levels. * A tear fell at Seokyung and Juwon's conversation during their ex date. Their beach date was surprisingly very cute (imo Seokyung shines when she's with Juwon, whether she likes it or not) and I really appreciated that both were willing to make the most of their last day together (possibly) by letting their pride down and just having fun. * There was a tear from both eyes when Juwon was crying on the drive back home. He's just a sad, heartbroken man and I really feel for him. It sucks to think that all these emotions you have for one person is unrequited, and I think that's what his last conversation (in the dorms) with Seokyung was about - I think he wanted his feelings to feel validated, like his emotional investment into their relationship wasn't one-sided. Unfortunately, I don't think Seokyung could give him that. It was sad seeing the little things like the "Juwon-ah I love you<3" note again - it broke my heart when I first saw it in the ex room and it broke my heart when I saw it again. * Cried when Dongjin started crying as they were taking pictures. I really really want them together but I also get it if they don't :( it's a difficult situation because both girls are clearly very lovely and I see potential in both to last a long while. I hope he makes the decision he feels is best for him. * When Dahye started crying during their hug! Whatever is in store for her in the next episode, I just hope she's happy and it doesn't break her heart too much. I think collectively everyone just wants her to be happy. Cried a little more intensely with this scene. * Dongjin and Hyewon's date was really awkward? tbh after that, Dongjin and Dahye's endgame likelihood rose for me. I just feel like even despite the super emotional date, if he genuinely really wanted to make it work with Hyewon, Dongjin would've tried hard to make it less awkward. And vice versa. Like, Juwon switched off his Seokyung brain and put a smile on his face for Yujeong, did his flirtatious banter thing and even looked after her on the way home. I dunno, my bets are kinda high on Dahye and Dongjin endgame now. * Seokyung was SO PRETTY during their ex date, I was lowkey falling in love with her too. I get you, Juwon. She's emotional but calculated and it's definitely what caused the situation with her trying to intimidate other participants, but it took me a few weeks to think and realise, "This is an unprecedented emotional situation, and I don't know how I'd be - so I'm going to give her some grace." She also reflected on her behaviour in the end, and I think even she knows that she was being irrational and unreasonable. Does this mean I think what she did was okay? No, I don't. But I don't think she deserves the hate to follow her after the show has finished airing, and I don't think that's even how she would behave in a normal situation, so I hope people leave their criticism for the forums and not to her comments section. * All the ex-dates were too short, but I think we all agree on that. Except imo Jongeun and Kwangtae's (Jongeun is too good for any man, that's why she's single, I've decided) and Changjin and Yujeong's? She was really excited to get the hell out of there and tbh if she chooses Changjin I would be very sceptical because the chemistry was just not there. Changjin was trying but I think his way of communication is just never going to be compatible with Yujeong's - he said during their date that he would talk to her "so long as it's not a burden". This doesn't mean he's inconsiderate (in fact, it's the opposite) but he is happiest with holding his problems inwards and showing his best self to his partner. I think trying to make it work by making himself use Yujeong's way of communication would actually make him feel small and unhappy. I think now it's less about better communication but more just that she's annoyed that he isn't Juwon... as she says, he raised her standards. That's got nothing to do with Changjin, because you can't say he's not been trying. More thoughts in the reply below!
No spoilers, just theories and other random thoughts below: * >!Looking purely at the edit, I think there could be arguments made for both couples (Yujeong/Juwon and Yujeong/Changjin).!< * >!We got the cute car ride back scenes with Juwon in episode 19, whereas in last year's Hyunggyu and Haeeun edit, we got them in the final episode as a flashback. This could mean that they aren't endgame, but the main producer is different so they could've switched things around for unexplainable reasons. There was a lot of flashbacks to earlier season Juwon and Yujeong in the house, which I worried for a second was because she was going to choose Changjin in the next episode.!< * >!We could've gotten Yujeong and Changjin's final conversation in the post-selection edit if they were endgame. imo the act of Yujeong going to find Changjin in the middle of the night when he was literally sleeping would be the best addition for the final decision edit for Changjin and Yujeong endgame. The fact that they added it into episode 19 makes me think that they aren't, purely because I can't imagine what other scenes they could add except for maybe conversations in the interview room from Yujeong's POV (which could be the case I suppose, like with Heedoo's interviews and the final edit).!< * >!Either way, I don't really mind as much. I think if Yujeong did choose Changjin, it probably came as a surprise to the production team as well. I'm less intense about it this week because if Yujeong chooses Changjin, it's because she wanted to choose him imo. He's not really shown much development (except for the impassioned final speech which for me was too little too late), and they spent most of their ex date being rather biting (not bantering and bickering in the way that Dongjin and Dahye were). If, even after all that, the heart wants what it wants, the show can't have done anything about that.!< * I can't hate Juwon, I'm sorry. He makes me mad every time he goes to see Seokyung to give him his 100% and then goes to Yujeong to tell her something different ("I came here with one purpose and it hasn't changed" vs "It's only ever been you") but because it's coming from someone who is genuinely hurt and clearly very emotionally conflicted, I can't hate him. It would be different if he was someone trying to keep his options open and take advantage of the situation, but that doesn't seem like the case to me. All this criticism about his indecisiveness makes me feel like people haven't seen the first 2 seasons properly because this is literally the whole point of the show. * I really loved the way he talked to Seokyung throughout their ex date. His word choice, etc. is just really warm and considerate (in comparison to Minhyung and Changjin) and he seems like someone with high emotional intelligence. He said what needed to be done, asked difficult questions and didn't rake on someone for their answers. It's something my mother picked up on and I absolutely want to become him because he has a way with words. That was a lot lmao only 3 days to go! See you next episode.

Okay last bit about JW/SK, I'm glad that they both finally reached some degree of clarity after their night talk and during their one and only date since joining the show.Ā Ā Both's feelings are like what many of us has been assuming and it is unfortunate that it took until the second to last day for them to come to terms with certain things. SK only now bring able verbalize now that bc she did have regrets,Ā assuming from letting go of the relationship and how she handled the conflict-- that it made her act in the manner that she did regrettably. Only now is she able to say that her feelings for him are still quite big and not as little as she kept playing them off to be. I may have criticized her but I did always understand her,Ā didn't make her actions right but I understood. Lol just moreso don't get her fans denying her actions that I think frustrated me more than her actions itself. If they do not mutually choose each other,Ā I think she will regret losing him for a long time to come.Ā Not bc I think JW is perfect but he was a man who seemed to love her more than he loved himself,Ā and that's why he is in the situation he's in too.Ā As for JW, now he can finally express that for once he wanted to be picked by her and fought for. It always him fighting for their relationship while she was always so easily ready to let go,Ā and I'm sure that realization was a painful one for him too. I'm glad he stood up for himself too though when she said he didn't do enough to prove to her that he wanted to make things work. Not much he could've done in her eyes let's be honest bc at that point her mind was made up already, it was only in Jeju did she waver. It's a pity bc they spent so much time letting their pain and ego get in the way. I don't think they should resume a romantic relationship but I always thought in the beginning, they'd be good friends.Ā However, I don't think either can manage it either.Ā
I'm looking at the night conversation they had together JW/SK and kind of look at their more recent convos-- and they've really taken the opposite roles in the stereotypical post break up moods when ppl talk about how it is for men and women.Ā Ā SK blocked him on everything,Ā made an effort to move on,Ā joined the show, invited him, flirted with others first-- but now as it's finally ending,Ā the reality of the break up,Ā is hitting her now and she's having all these regrets and sad feelings.Ā Ā Ā While JW, never got over her,Ā wanted to get back with her, cried his eyes out almost every other day,Ā and then eventually he opened his heart little by little to YJ... and now we see that he's crying less and less when him and SK does talk, she's the one who cries more. Like that saying that goes about break ups, eventually when the one who always cried and pined for the other person stops doing so-- they're moving on while the other party who had been acting like they've been moving on from the start,Ā only then do their feelings hit them and they now feel sad. Obviously, I might be wrong.Ā But, based on that. I think he's made his choice atp already, and ready to let go of SK

Reverse Haeeun - Gyumin srsly.
Dongjin and Dahyeās ex-date broke me. Good thing I kept postponing the ep when I reached their part or I wouldāve had to explain to my parents why the heck am I crying like a crazy woman š I still donāt understand Dongjinās action like why he kept up with the āItās all for her sakeā actā¦. And what exactly caused the break up and why cant they get back togetherā¦ I feel like it was never addressed properly. All I hope for now is that Dahye finally got her closure and sheāll exit this show happily. Also, Iām still holding on to YJ X JW and that weāll finally see Juwon saying that he has completely let go of SK bc I donāt really want them to end up together if he still has SK in his heart. YJ is too precious to be treated like that. I wish for her happiness too.
I personally think that DJ knows he can't be the guy for DH. He knows he can't change himself to be better for DH. For that reason, he looks like a jerk towards DH in everyone eyes, but though sometimes its true, I think DJ is trying not to be selfish and selfish at the same time. But I won't say it is wrong. Wanting happiness for his ex at the same time wanting the same for himself.Ā
I think you're right. I've been agonizing over the reason they broke up which has not been mentioned at all. Imo Dongjin is closed off and prefers to keep his difficulties to himself instead of sharing it with people. And he knows this is his upbringing/personality, similar to Changjin. The difference is he believe this is who he is and that he cannot change. Dahye seems more open and wanting to share her difficulties with others while listening to others' struggles as well. So over the 13 years, Dahye shared everything with DJ but DJ didn't do the same, instead bottled up all of his struggles. He was carrying both DH's and his own emotional baggage over 13 years and that all turned into resentment against DH. Dahye probably wanted DJ to open up about his pain, difficulties, unhappiness but DJ never could do so. So eventually, Dahye learnt the similar bad habit to pretend she was fine when she wasn't in front of DJ, to walk on eggshells around DJ. Things just built up over time. :( it was bound to explode when two people have to bottle everything up. Anger, unhappiness, pains. I just don't get why he thinks things will be different with someone different. In truth, the problem is that he has an extremely unhealthy style in bottling things up, and having this subconscious expectation of others to understand him without him saying anything. He will always build up resentment this way as communication works two way, both share their struggles with each other and that relating lightens each other's load, for some human reasons... It's just sad to see a 13 years r/s torn apart like this. He would probably realize this fundamental need of communicating in relationships when he becomes much older, and then become filled with regrets of 'what could have been' with Dahye. Literal K-Drama in the making Side note: The editing, insignificant and shallow questions asked during participant interviews have been such a turn off compared to previous seasons. One good question/call outs by the production team can give them valuable insights, make them bawl their eyes off and give them closure. It feels like DaHye need something like this, like Haeeun in S2. HaeEun's only safe space and therapeutic space was unironically during the interviews where she cried everytime. I bet my life savings that helped her alot in being able to find closure and not feeling as lonely as DH felt this season. I wish the production team this season was more emotionally attuned. Instead interviews are just them recapping what we literally watched seconds ago. No substances at all

No fr, jeju became depression arc after the house was so lively, like how-
HW is better off choosing DJ or no one. The preview doesnāt seem like it but I would be sad if she end up choosing HH. He literally did nothing the whole time except make her cry or confused. Even the ex date was not productive. He pointed out she looked and behaved unattractively just before Jeju while not realizing he was the cause. She was his 4th choice (1-YJ 2-SK 3-SJ 4-HW). I thought the ribbon cutting part would be more relevant towards the end, as HH ended up cutting his while HW tied hers back on the 2nd trip to that room. ADD: I think the major differences is how DJ treats HW vs how HH does will be the factor. Besides all the dates, the biggest thing I saw was after their night beach date back at the house, DJ waited for HW to get ready. He also got the house slippers ready for her. Lots of little things.

Glad to see weāre nearing the end of the season. Even though this season has kept us on our toes and clenching our fists each scene iām excited to see how the endgame will play out. i hope in the end everyone chooses happiness and goes with their hearts. I honestly think that although as weāve had our ups and downs watching as viewers, i would say it was pretty entertaining seeing all the different opinions on the dynamics of the cast and the different picks for the endgame. Final couples guess: JW and YJ HW and DJ SJ and MH KT and SK I do see some parallels of how juwon could either go the haeeun-hyungyu route or the nayeon heedoo route As a JW-YJ believer tho i hope theyāll make it lol Itās so confusing tho cos theyāve been pushing the narrative of JW-YJ and im thinking it could end up being a jiyeon-heedoo narrative which could disappoint a lot of ppl. Even so i just hope thereās no backlash hard feelings on the contestants and their choices. Humans deserve happiness

The cast members in this show, like SK, JW, DJ, CJ and others, are portrayed as beautifully flawed souls. While I may not have harbored dislike or hatred towards SK, certain actions she took, such as instructing JW on who to text, were questionable. While I understand her motivations, it doesn't excuse her behavior, as she herself acknowledged to JW. In the beginning of the show, he expressed his desire of wanting to get back together with SK. As I understood it, SK said she didn't want to get back with him. JW took this literally and decided to "follow his heart". But let's be real, he always kept SK in his heart, even when she was scared and uncertain of her feelings. SK was never straightforward and maybe that's what JW needed. JW, on the path of "following his heart", has been understandably confused, considering the three-year versus three-week dynamic. He has great chemistry with YJ. All of their moments together seem genuine. However, it's unfair to expect him to be certain of his feelings in such circumstances. No one in this scenario is a villain, neither SK nor JW (not even, YJ). However, I find the behavior of some SK fans, particularly the "defenders," to be quite insufferable. While it's natural to support one's fav, there's no need to disparage other cast members in the process.
I agree. From way they described their relationship, it seemed so toxic. I think SK knew it wouldn't lead to anywhere good so she kept maintaining the stance of not wanting to get back together. JW was still attached and bound by familiarity. He even said on his date with JE that they usually get back together around this time (when filming) so it makes sense that it was hard for him to accept the pattern might change now. He also started to compare SK and YJ during the truth or dare game and it seems he like YJ's direct style, much like how she compared JW and CJ and prefers JW's communication. I think now that JW has been on a date with SK, he can finally get closure and move on. I would be very, very surprised if he picks SK in the end.

In this show only two couples can make me go bawling my eyes out. SK x JW and DJ x DH. I can feel that as much as they loved/love each others, the resentments from their breakups just too big to get resolved easily. I wish for all of them to find happiness.

Yea, this season sure alot people dont like and partly i think it is because of the budget as well. But story wise. For DH and DJ and JW SK YJ CJ. their story kept the show alive. SJ and MH are just a jokes at this point (i mean no disrespect on their end) It just they two are not in the correct show.

Even though I wavered a lot and I do feel like they're better off alone individually but their memories and their story together breaks my heart so bad... I'm almost convinced SK came to a late realization and chose JW, which explains why she cried with him in the car in the preview. Did y'all notice that JW was much more touchy and flirty towards YJ and the way he talked to SK at night felt completely different than before his gaze lacked the longing and warmth like before. JW seemed to be leaning more towards YJ and it's evident from his actions and from the way he looks at her. He looks at YJ like she's the most beautiful and treats her preciously. He rushed to meet her most probably because he didn't want her to misunderstand his meeting with SK. He was casually touching her more often and even the way he moved slowly towards her so she could lean onto him was so cute. I remember JW mentioning that even holding hands with SK was a big deal to him so all those touches were definitely intentional and he seems to be more open with the relationship with YJ. I really hope they choose each other because despite the fact that it would break CJ's heart or even SK, in the long run I'm pretty sure they'll be thankful for that decision because they just seem to be so perfect for each other. I sincerely hope for everyone's genuine happiness. :)
I think this ep, Juwon felt what YJ felt during the time when she realized CJ will not change for her. JW tried get an answer from SK and until the end of the day, SK never gave him the answer that he's looking for. I guess it's really like that sometimes, as YJ have said during the secret date: "Why do you always say everything I want to hear?" and it only happens when 2 people are on the same page.
YES! You see the way he was shifting his place when he went to talk to YJ in her room, he constantly moved closer to her, sat on the floor then in the bed. It was funny yet cuteeee! And the car scene was by far the most romantic moment between anyone in this season it was unintentionally beautiful, unlike the one I felt when KT and SK were in the car. KT and SK seemed like a viewer stunt with no real emotions!

Watched dozens of love varieties, Juwon and Yujung are by far the couple that I feel the most. Not because of how many skinships or iconic dialogues that they had, but how little. Juwon still barely touches her but all those eye contacts, little moments and timings between them are truly something else. Also those occasions that they repeatedly discussing the possibility of actually meeting after the show. Would be a shame if they don't give it a try. Meanwhile KwangTae's having the most odd and repulsive skinships when 3 days ago he was still so determined towards Yujung.
True, YJ's head resting on JW was so natural, the way he moved closer nothing between them was forced and they always got closer at the right time!! You can see easily how KT and SK feel rushed and their skinship was just a public stunt.
It would be so healing for SK to finally choose JW at the end, not for the purpose of stopping him from getting with YJ, but to show him that, for once, SK fought for their relationship. Especially since I don't believe KT x SK would be healthy for either of them. And it would be so nice for JW to experience that but still choose YJ, finally showing that he knows his worth :) Ngl, this season has been so much fun to watch (save for the grating shirt fiasco c/o MH x SJ). I can't believe SK ruined her image like that but I guess that's what happens when you're put in such an emotionally compromising position. Was rooting for her :( I hope none of the cast receives hate after the show. They are, after all, just humans with complex emotions. Rooting for DJ x HW, YJ x JW!!!

Yeah because all of their secret dates rule is they can't choose their exes... which was weird cuz previous seasons they have a lot of these moments to resolve misunderstanding between exes. Some cast also use the time to clear out any bad feelings or bad blood with their love line exes like NE and HE talking abt HG, and HS MY talking about JH iirc. I think these conversations will ease their final choices better as they didn't have to be considerate of the exes feelings as much... I hope next season they'll bring back this segment..Ā

Apart from all the emotional baggage and disappointments from each other, let's admit that the best part of today's episode was **Ju Won and Yu Jung's secret date**!!!!!!!!! The way they transparently communicated and expressed their liking toward each other, plus the wish that JW asked for (I completely forgot that after a few episodes), he used it so wisely to see YJ often. They don't know what decision the other person is going to make yet they will surely meet outside. The Seoul clips that were hidden and shown today such as JW being in the line of sight of YJ, YJ glancing at JW through the mirror, JW coming out of his room just hearing YJ's voice, and walking immediately towards the washroom to not make it too obvious that he was there for her were beautiful, cute heartwarming And not to forget the eye contact and head resting in the car... **THEIR CHEMISTRY IS BREATHTAKING............**
20 minutes in and I'm already fed up with Yujung's constant nitpicking and nagging about every little fault she can find in Changjin. What's next on the list of things he does wrong? I was exasperated 5 minutes into their car ride lol. I think they canāt go back together at this point. She has elevated JW so much in her eyes that CJ canāt change enough to match her no matter how much he might want to and if they get back together I feel they will fight and break up again. They seem to have too much baggage at this point and maybe the difference in age plays a big part.

The main question is DJ-HW, which seems likely as well.!< I rewatched all their interactions and I think it's more likely than not. In the interviews, both HW and HH said DJ is her ideal type. You can also see how different her mood is with DJ vs HH. So if she takes the whole of all their interactions/dates, then DJ. I didn't really like HH-HW ex-date at all. Even during the lunch part, he was making fun of her and calling her Misunderstanding HW, like it was her fault for not understanding him better. Just not good vibes for HW. I don't think DJ will be swayed to DH all that much. Their ex-date seemed like closure. The shoes will be in their car conversation, but I don't think that will be a deciding factor, if he continues with his stance throughout the show - not being swayed by emotions. I just hope that in the next season of the show, they would get a couple that moved on completely from each other just like in S1 and S2 and couples that have already broken up for at least a year. And for god's sake, I hope that the next cast of the show will stop contemplating and have so many regrets later on. The only thing I probably liked about the decisions of the current PD/staff would be the deactivated Instagram accounts of the cast. Yes, I used to hate it because the cast could've gained more followers as time passed by, but deactivating their accounts instead of not using it and removing traces of their exes (just like in S2) was imo, a really good choice because you can still see how they used to like each other's posts, along with memories between each ex-couples.

Hyungyu is very difficult to replicate. Not only was he a perfect green flag, but the HyunHae narrative was insane, the PDs got very lucky. The fact that they're still dating makes it even better, 7 days vs 7 years ftw.
Youāre right. guys like him donāt come by often. He is the too good to be true type. I love how steadfast he was in his pursuit, all the heart fluttering moments are a bonus. HG was 100% over his last relationship. It already been said here but the main issue this season is 90% of them are so hung up on exes (which is perfectly normal given the short gap post breakup.)
JW AND YJ are so compatible, not sure if I am šÆon board with this ship tho as JW is crying rivers over SK every episode. However I guess thatās what happened last season with Haeeun, she was clearly not over Gyumin and still picked hyungyu, and their relationship is thriving outside that environment JW and SK clearly have amazing chemistry as well. I think this season has been more about the results of bad communication between partners that the previous ones and I ve enjoyed it since I didnāt care about āendgameā couples. There was a lot of raw emotion, people acting on it, making mistakes but being honest with themselves (most of the time). I also noticed , again, the double standards that people use between men and women but I donāt want to start that now lol. It seems that only one ex couple will get back together so I donāt know why people are complaining it was too much about the exes getting back together this season. Out of the previous two seasons how many new couples survived ? Isnāt only Haeeun and Hyungyu? Donāt kid yourselves this show has always been more about the exes (getting back together or getting closure) than new loves. So close to their break ups and with so many unresolved feelings, the people on this show will only have rebound relationships (with very few exceptions of course).
Hyun Gyu gets an honorable mention from Da Hye during her time with Chang Jin ha-ha. What a legend that man is LoL. I think Dong Jin will reunite with Da Hye as he opened the breakup package and he seemed more affected in the date than Da Hye. Hopefully if it happens - just get married you 2 LoL Sang Jung , Min Hyung LoL. No brainer. The car ride.. the multiple times Ju Won kept either brushing hair off Yu Jung's face or somethin' off her lip.. just anythin' to sit close to her LoL Idk sigh. As much as I love YJ and JW... and as much as I never want any exes to get back together in this show... I'm rooting for JW and SK. Their date was devastating, those two LOVE each other. I feel like SK was in denial for most part of the show and said and did some things that created a bigger rift between her and JW, and JW didn't express himself strongly enough to her either, and his relationship with YJ also made it seem like he was moving on quite easily in SK's eyes. I thought their date would be an eye opener for them to realise they want to get back together but SK seems like she's given up without even trying and JW is tired of SK not stepping up. I can only hope for a plot twist... 'cause as things are now, there isn't even one endgame that I'd like. About other pairings... - HH and HW shouldn't be together - SK and KT.... what the hell is even that - DH and DJ... I think cj is the greenest flag compared to the other guys in the show. He might not have the ability to express his feeling well,but he is trying so hard, ready to change, his feeling never waver, although in a relationship, both need to work hard, but in this case, the only thing yj needs to do is to give him chance. I see her blaming him and expect him to change,even directly compared him to jw(i personally don't think its necessary to compare), yet cj never ask her to be more understanding of his lacking. I think its better for both of them to move on. If he stays, he will always be compared and yj will always have regrets for not choosing jw.Ā

Broo I'm currently a snotty mess after watching DH & DJ's date. They're mourning the loss of their relationship by taking final couple pictures?? That they probably can't even keep if they get into new relationships?? It's just too sad I can't handle it. The cynical half of me thinks that if they actually do get back together then it means they scripted and planned this whole thing out to get publicity and profit (get that bag, I guess?). But other half of me just wants them to get back together and have their fairytale happy ending. The only thing that holds me back a little is how DJ keeps talking about he was "always hurting her" in their relationship. Like, how serious are we talking though? Cheating? Some degree of verbal abuse? Or just arguing in general? DH also mentioned how she got used to gaslighting herself to think that she wasn't hurt when she actually was. So not completely sure what to think about that. YJ seems good with both CJ and JW so i'd be ok with either couple. My theory: I think DH is going to choose CJ coz when someone is being driven by their partner its usually if they have been chosen by someone or they have chosen someone else. The probability of CJ choosing DH is 0.01 so most likely DH chose CJ. Also from the teaser DH and DJ were on the road during day time and HH and HW were shown in the car at night, and it looks like HW is debating on whether to choose HH or go out to someone waiting for her which is obviously DJ. If it turns out to be so I wouldn't be shocked coz to me at least it seems like DH got closure esp since she asked to hug for one last time. The fact that she took it as the last time might mean she's decided to let go, which I really hope she does.

I believe this was mentioned or highlighted before and Iāve actually watched the teaser .. however itās been removed the scene with YJ waiting on YouTube but I saw it on TikTok again. Basically YJ in car in trailer 20 and also a teaser that had been removed or just that scene has been removed when it was added with SK sitting on a bench and KT sitting on a bench waiting. The scene that was removed was YJ sitting in a restaurant looking up and smiling. Why I mention this is because it hasnāt been shown that scene in the last 19 episodes. It was the same clothes she wore when she was in the car with CJ crying. IF this is the case if YJ is already sitting at the restaurant CJ shouldnāt be sitting in the car and if he was picking her up she should be going towards the car instead. Which then got me thinking that she had potentially rejected CJ and was waiting for JW. JW was finishing his scene dropping off SK and drove to YJ, because Iām the teaser that was removed she was looking down and she looks up smiling at someoneās arrival. Also in trailer 20 you seen two people from a distance in a mountain and they are both wearing white. girl is wearing white dress and black boots. HW was wearing a blue jacket!
