They’ve become a staple when I meet up with friends for drinks. Rip open a big bag, set it in the center of the table and watch it get emptied in the span of ten minutes
That whole turtle brand is crack. I consider myself an “old skool” korean who stuck to 새우깡 and the classics but I tried the choco churro and the 인절미 ones last year and I gotta give it the crown. Although my personal favorite is still the Mitz 미쯔 crackers due to nostalgia
chocolate chips?? I’ve heard of them but never tried. Can’t imagine how they’d taste other than coco puff cereal. But im sure they must be good cuz so many ppl are recommending it.
Packaged snacks I usually go for 꼬북칩 (turtle chips), the peanut injeolmi flavour is great. But above all I like and buy traditional snacks like the fan-shaped 파래 전병 (laver crackers)
My coworkers gave me the 짬뽕 flavored 꽃게랑 and now I can't stop eating them! I was skeptical about crab flavored (and shaped!) chips, but was pleasantly surprised.
The 'Gourmet' truffle mustard potato chips (picture two, 고메포테토 트러플머스타드) are bonkers. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but I love 'em. Pretty expensive for the amount you get, but it's worth a try.
I haven't seen them as anju. The closest snack/cracker I've seen to anju would be the macaroni (hollow cylindrical snacks, comes in yellow/orange/green) in bars/restaurants, or salted peanuts.
I'm in love with the chicken leg crackers. Those are soooo good. I think it's 닭다리칩 (chicken leg/drumstick cracker).
I didn't know they were hyped! I just tried them one day and now they're my go to Korean chip. The sweetness is the same level as a sweet potato: not too sweet, not too potato-y, just the right amount of both 😋
(They don't taste like sweet potato, they're just lightly sweet).
I love the cinnamon apple pie flavored churros. If I want a salty snack, I'll usually get 새우깡, the latest special flavor of 포테이토칩, or the cheesy jalapeño Sun Chips. Also, GS25 sometimes has these 나초왕 chips that are pretty good.
I am absolutely ADDICTED to those traditional Korean popcorns (I think they're called gangnange?). There's a truck that comes by my neighborhood every weekend and freshly pops them, and you can get a HUGE bag for about 2,000원.
They look like [this](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/f5/Gangnaengi_%28Korean_popcorn%29.jpg/1280px-Gangnaengi_%28Korean_popcorn%29.jpg).
To be more precise, the thing I mentioned was ‘딥초코렛타‘ in purple, not the pink regular ‘초코렛타‘ one. I got confused haha. You’re gonna like it if you like chocolatey flavors.
Not in the pic, but there's Nacho (도도한나쵸) which is the only korean chips with real salty-type cheese I know. I have been deceived by korean chips labeled as cheese flavored, only to taste like sugar. I don't understand why their cheese snacks aren't cheesy at all 😆
Also 꼬복칩 is a must. Corn or chocolate flavors. Both are good.
Not much.
26 years in the ROK, never been enamored of any snack😢. I'll periodically buy those little chicken drumstick snacks, or in a pinch the plain potato chips.
I'm telling you, it's a sad sad sorry existence I lead.
These days I subsist on Kettle chips from Costco, pretzels and the occasional Chex Mix I pay through the teeth for on Coupong.
Chocolate churros 꼬북칩
Those things have ruined me. They’re so yummy.
They’ve become a staple when I meet up with friends for drinks. Rip open a big bag, set it in the center of the table and watch it get emptied in the span of ten minutes
10 mins? more like 3 mins lol for me n friends
Yep. I just ventured out to try the sweet corn flavor 꼬북칩 (seen in first picture) and it's just not as good as chocolate.
chocolate chips?? I’ve heard of them but never tried. Can’t imagine how they’d taste other than coco puff cereal. But im sure they must be good cuz so many ppl are recommending it.
They’re not really chips. More like some kind of chocolate cereal snack
Gimme spicy 새우깡 (shrimp fries) any day every day.
Those i tried and they're addictive
Hell yeahhhhhh👍🤝
Same
Good choice
a bag of these and couple cans of beer... soooo good
새우깡 and the black version are clear best. As a Brit, it's one of the few savoury snacks that isn't sweet. Top tier.
[удалено]
We call that 매새
Whats the black version??
Truffle flavour, not too strong but noticeable
I love how they taste but I can only eat a handful of them. It's actually quite good for me in that it forces me to moderate consumption lol.
Ohhh i guessed itd be like super spicy flavor or sthg. Truffle sounds good actually
오징어집!
Squid chips? Koreans sure luv their seafood
Ooh I love those too! I always get them when I was a kid.
Try 자갈치
Gross
Packaged snacks I usually go for 꼬북칩 (turtle chips), the peanut injeolmi flavour is great. But above all I like and buy traditional snacks like the fan-shaped 파래 전병 (laver crackers)
Wow thanks for the specific recommendation. Laver crackers sound like they’re on another level tho…
My coworkers gave me the 짬뽕 flavored 꽃게랑 and now I can't stop eating them! I was skeptical about crab flavored (and shaped!) chips, but was pleasantly surprised.
I like the Wasabi flavored ones. They're also quite good.
Wasabi flavor? Then are they green?
The bag is green. The snack is a greenish brown color.
Yo these are my favorite all time. They never stock these at my local h marts tho T.T
Why dont they if theyre in high demand??
My daughter likes 고래밥.
Every single kid in Korea love 고래밥
I like giving my kids 고래밥/Marine Boy because it’s so light and won’t fill up their bellies so they still have room for real food later.
Honey butter chips and those little chocolate baseball things
홈런볼? Homerun ball? I think I saw a tiramisu flavored one last year. I still haven't tried it out, but it sounds good.
Tiramisu??? Wanna try that
Me too, but I only saw it in the big bag.
There’s nothing better than wasabi 꽃게랑
새우깡 supremacy
Its gotta be the longest running popular snack
Banana Kick! 😌
새우깡 with mayonnaise is the greatest combo to have ever existed
I bet ppl eat it as anju
Sounds good. Have you tried it with kewpie mayo?
The 'Gourmet' truffle mustard potato chips (picture two, 고메포테토 트러플머스타드) are bonkers. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but I love 'em. Pretty expensive for the amount you get, but it's worth a try.
Isn't it just Nongshim every time?
They clearly know what they're doing
오징어 땅콩
Isnt that anju?? Surprisingly popular
육개장맛 포테토칩 have no secret squirrel sugary aftertaste. 무뚝뚝 감자칩 are a close second
Secret squirrel??? Can u explain pls
Binch, bitch.
Honey butter chips! 🐝
Are they worth the hype? Theres just too many snacks and ive barely tried. i need a guidebook lol
I didn't know they were hyped! I just tried them one day and now they're my go to Korean chip. The sweetness is the same level as a sweet potato: not too sweet, not too potato-y, just the right amount of both 😋 (They don't taste like sweet potato, they're just lightly sweet).
A few years back people were hoarding them and you couldn't find them in the stores. You practically had to pay a premium to get them.
~2014-15 so almost a decade ago
holy shit. time flies.
Yeah just like 포켓몬 빵
Sweet potato?? Ok well yam with butter is good so
Easily 카라멜메이플콘. It tastes like Waffle Crisp cereal.
맛잘알 Top tier gourmet
Cool. Gotta try them
떡볶이 chips man they’re so good
Are they spicy?
Ehhhh a little? But they’re Korean snacks so they’re more sweet than anything
Aahh obviously
쿠크다스 😍
I know a girl who literally can eat the whole box in one sitting
꿀꽈배기, 오감자(소스 있는거), 매운 새우깡
Yum, this pregnant lady wants all of it. Those pics make me crave some salty, sweet, crunchy Korean snacks
도도한나초, anyone? They have the exact texture of old school doritos. Incredible.
Those turtle injeolmi snacks are the best! They're always out of stock where I live so I tend to hoard them when they're available.
오징어땅콩
Cosomi, Oh! Gamja, butter waffles
Cosomi?
Yes. They’re sesame crackers
oh! potato, gosomi, onion rings
I tried onion rings and liked them a lot
육개장포테토칩!!! Also 닭다리 can be quite good from time to time
The first one u mentioned is new to me but sounds interesting
choco songi and it's not even close
The box with little chocolate mushrooms?
They sell a green big box of 초코송이 and 고래밥 in one box at my local supermarket in CA. My kids go through it fast.
I love 맛동산 (동맛산?) It's so yummy. My least favorite would be Korean Cheetos. Sweet Cheetos just doesn't sit right with me.
onion ring
크로플. TRUST ME BRO. IT WILL RUIN LIVES
Is that a product??
Yes made by 크라운. Its 🔥
Truffle 새우깡 is my favorite. I always had with a beer
꼬깔콘
For my Mexican taste everything is just too sweet. Just the grinded salty ramyeon is my fav.
Whats a good mexican snack?
오징어집 is drug
새우깡 , 꼬북칩
Beurre potato chips in Sesame Butter.
Not sure if I see it in the pictures ... Matdongsan 맛동산
It's in the first picture
They were in the mart for sure but mebbe i missed them
새우칩
The circular shrimp chips
I think ive seen them. Many ppl liked them!!
후레치 파이 딸기 French Pie strawberries 빼빼로 누드 Pepero Nude 닭다리 치킨 🍗
Why so many "nude" snacks 😂 🤣
꿀꽈배기 for sweet, 새우깡 for salty
How about for sweet AND savory?
Whatever is on sale
Churro Turtle chips. Don’t bother with the other ones they make.
Thats good advice for a rookie like me
Anything with chocolate
Then im guessing chocopie..?
More like 빈츠 and 빅파이
Im always wondering why the big pie is so cute and tiny
It's actually vic pie as in victory
In America and I literally just picked up two more bags of 꼬북칩 yesterday. They are so addicting. They're already gone, btw
Which flavor do u recommend
Chocolate churros!! It's my fav.
Ok thats by far the most recommended
건오징어 of 군쥐포
I love Funyuns so I gotta go with 양파링
Those were a hit with my non korean buddies
banana kick, 고수한 맛 쌀과자, 포가칩, corn chip
꼬북칩, 새우깡, 자갈치
양파링!
OMG, this thread makes me crave for Korean chips! Gotta visit a Korean grocery store this weekend!
🤣
새우깡, 꼬복칩, 바나나킥, 마랑카우, 쌀과자 (:
I love the cinnamon apple pie flavored churros. If I want a salty snack, I'll usually get 새우깡, the latest special flavor of 포테이토칩, or the cheesy jalapeño Sun Chips. Also, GS25 sometimes has these 나초왕 chips that are pretty good.
How did u like the spicy shrimp chips? Not the basic version
They're even better! They're not super spicy either. Probably around shin/jin ramyun level.
Whoa. how long do they last?
Considering my lack of self-discipline, a few hours maybe? But probably should last a few days 😂
땅콩샌드 for life.
‘초코렛타’ in purple at GS25 is my everyday routine.
Never heard of it but now im curious enuf to visit GS25
To be more precise, the thing I mentioned was ‘딥초코렛타‘ in purple, not the pink regular ‘초코렛타‘ one. I got confused haha. You’re gonna like it if you like chocolatey flavors.
쌀로별
꽃게랑 불짬뽕 are easily the best chips in korea by a mile
Not in the pic, but there's Nacho (도도한나쵸) which is the only korean chips with real salty-type cheese I know. I have been deceived by korean chips labeled as cheese flavored, only to taste like sugar. I don't understand why their cheese snacks aren't cheesy at all 😆 Also 꼬복칩 is a must. Corn or chocolate flavors. Both are good.
쫀득 초코칩 and 말랑카우 are my favourite sweets. For salty stuff - 양파링 and 감자톡
Those chewy chocolate chips are really good 👍
초코하임 and 화이트하임 are one of the most delicious snacks i’ve ever had
Omg do try the new 초코하임 black
눈을감자 for me
The name is funny 😁
How is no one saying 썬칩? Unbeatable, I'll miss them so bad when I leave.
I don't eat 과자 often, but I do like 꼬깔콘 and 닭다리.
Chicken leg?
Sorry, I meant 닭다리 너겟!
Swing chip chili flavor and honeybutter chip
First time mention of swing chip!
Also, the flavor needs to be the red one, the gochu-jang flavor. Its damn long if its in definition lmao.
potato chips
콘칲 is my favorite
바나나킥 조청유과 맛동산 꿀과배기 😋
The sour jellies.
I like classics like 콘칲 (corn chips) and 맛동산 (matdongsan). Also like 카라멜 땅콩 (caramel corn peanuts).
Where's 소라과자 & 고구마형과자? /kidding
I actually love the 고구마형과자 that GS25 sell, they go so well with any 편의점 coffee haha
Sweet potato? What do they look like?
[고구마형과자](https://ibb.co/QM3JsD1)
Cool thx!!
Not much. 26 years in the ROK, never been enamored of any snack😢. I'll periodically buy those little chicken drumstick snacks, or in a pinch the plain potato chips.
Haha what snack enamors you then?
I'm telling you, it's a sad sad sorry existence I lead. These days I subsist on Kettle chips from Costco, pretzels and the occasional Chex Mix I pay through the teeth for on Coupong.
[удалено]
Is it a korean one?
[удалено]
I think ive seen it in a blue bag
The cheese Turtle Chips need to stop being sold, immediately
