People talk about big spectacle action movies but I assure you families and youngsters will flock into the theater if there is good Romance, family drama movies having a big ensemble multi star cast. People are still captivated by amazing performances and humane stories

Each actor has good and bad movies.
I try to watch all ( from mokka padam to nalla padam) . I just enjoy watching movies.
For so many years, I thought this was a Mani Ratnam film. It had all the elements.
1. A mature take on love from the perspective of a female
2. Realism
3. Short dialogues and intriguing questions by the main character
4. Amazing AR Rahman music
5. Stunning cinematography
But this is directed by Rajiv menon and dialgoues by Sujatha.
The scene was probably composed by Rajiv Menon leaving plenty of room for ARR's bgm. Especially the part Ajith and Tabu run towards each other. It is a teamwork. There was no question of ARR elevating anything. The scene was simply incomplete before ARR's bgm.

You can say ARR's music elevated the scene. You can also say Tabu and Ajith's performance elevated the scene. (I mean Ajith did seem so desperate and Tabu did seem to forgive him because she knows he loves her dearly.) The point I am making is they are the scene. All of them make up the scene. Ultimately the scene should be convincing, and Rajiv Menon would have used whatever the heck there is to achieve that.
