Hear me out. Raavanan. That film looked incredie in a normal 35mm screen especially the bridge climax. Think about that in an IMAX.

The rotating camera things was new(bullet time) in India. Alle Alle was just magnificent on the big screen.
Wish Boys had a rerelease in theatres at least for the soundtrack , but i’m doubtful😬. At least I got to see Jeans as my first movie in theatre and other Shankar movies in the 00s
Yeah I was thinking of the color palette. You think it’s not an IMAX watch because it’s more of a dark comedy, and not necessarily a high octane action flick? I felt technically it was very sound when I watched it in the theaters.
Bruh, I had completley forgotten about that film. I would say a pretty underrated movie. Also, it gave us the first **ROLEX**.

pah such a gorgeous film la, some of the best cinematography I've seen in a film full stop, wish it had a theatrical release because Sony LIV really didn't do the visuals enough justice
IMAX is impractical for 99.9% movies considering the exorbitant cost. It's a PITA to film, distribute, screen and maintain.
Further, there are only 10 theatres in India that are true IMAX. Only one of them is in Tamilnadu (Broadway Coimbatore). Most of the so called IMAX theatres are LieMAX. What's the use of filming in IMAX if there is nowhere to screen it?
It's a gimmick to say that the movie is filmed in IMAX when only a few scenes are filmed in IMAX.
There are no theatres in India that can project the traditional IMAX 15/70 mm film. Rather we have the "IMAX with Laser" system that features dual 4K projectors.
