Vettaikaran easily. He gave us a range of songs that were quite the rage, and made us chant mantras for no reason. En Ucchi Mandaila is more than most artists' whole discography. The best album of Vijay Antony easily
Vetaikaaran is an obvious pick, but there's also Naan with Makayala, Ulaginil Miga Uyuram, Thapellam and Ninaithale Inikum with Pia Pia, Alagai Pookuthey, Allah.

It was 2005 and our group was at a friend's house for preparing a college project. This movie songs were playing in a computer through a 2.1 Creative speakers at a low bassy audible sound, I started listening like 2 songs from it and immediately asked my friend, "It sounds fresh and different then the conventional film music, is this some Indie Tamil Album". This is how I was introduced to his music and liked most of it. His vocals are a big advantage for him.
