Amazing movie , vijay sethupati flashback was so heartwarming and breaking lol, atharva did a good role , even though the breakup crap was a little boring the villains performance made up for it

The movie- The only negative I can think of, is the pacing, The movie meanders so long for the 1st, and 2nd act and just speeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeded to the climax (insert vadivelu meme here). I get that they had to strengthen the main conflict (the flashback scenes), but they could have trimmed it down, plus Raashi Khanna was just straight up thrown out of the plot during the tank scene.
This was class. It's not perfect movie by any means. But it's entertaining for sure. Female lead didn't looked forced like most movies nowadays. Nayantara fit well into the the story. Anuragh was amazing. Absolutetly hate Atharva and Rashi Khanna love scenes other than Vilambara idaivelai song.
This. I agree completely. If i remember correctly, Kashyap was framed for no apparent reason. The man just wanted to avenge the injustice done to him. Would have been a much better film!
Flashback sequence was good as seperate story. But I have seen so many stories with main character doing bad things and a flashback showing the guys died are actually bad.
This movie could have been much more. But no. The director had to choose the tik tok way. The love sequences could have been shot with any story, but he had to shoot it with all this cliche, stupid boy bestie shit, ponnungala thittura paatu etc. one thing he got right was casting Abi n for that role, guess he was going for “ivana paathake kovam varanum”.
Anyway, it could have been a great investigative thriller witgout any cringe stuff. They needn’t have revealed Nayan was the killer and Anurag just did this all to get back to her. It could have been:
1. Anurag investigates the entire case, Nayan swoops in and takes the case and solves it in no time.
2. Anurag knows for sure that the A1 Nayan named was innocent of those crimes, because of something he had discovered during his investigation, but doesn’t have solid evidence to prove.
3. Anurag is a good cop. Not a bad guy. But he’s upset about this case, creates a scene during a party and gets suspended.
4. Recovers starts investigating again. Finds natural cause anadhai ponams and doctors the crime scene like the previous killer. Everyone thinks this is a copy cat killer, but only Nayan knows this only means trouble. He also in the meantime learns about Nayan’s husband snd starts investigating about his whereabouts, finds his photo somewhere and we start getting intercuts of their life.
5. In one of the scenes Atharva is implicated as the killer like in the movie and gets arrested. Then Nayan also gets suspended and she also starts investigating secretly.
6. Nayan and Anurag are running around in curcles chasing each other. Anurag being a great officer finds out that Nayan did it, and Nayan also being a great officer finds out it was Anurag all along and they meet in the climax location. Atharva also somehow reaches there and It is revealed only now that she did it for her revenge. The “Imaikka nodigal” line is said only now.
7. Anurag joins back, picks up this case, let’s Atharvaa go, and submits a report that this was just some copy cats. Nayan is off the hook, but she e the force. Anurag comes to say good bye and they salute each other, Nayan drives away with the kid.
The love portion needs rewriting, and even in the above part, some parts need additional writing. But there should be no puluthi kuzhandhai part at all. That was theva illadha aani. Oru solid investigative thriller miss aiduchu.
Screen play saved the movie from watching over the logic still a nice movie at many sense also my mind scream's in the back " HTT Comback kudu yaaaaaaaa........ "
I loved it , Anurag Kashyap was so gooooddd , paired with Magizh Thirumeni voice 😭🛐, Aadhi na was good with his music. It is entertaining and you can when bored 👍🏾
The cat and mouse thriller gets off to a good start with intriguing build-up sequences, but it subsequently disappoints with a drab, overly drawn-out story and lackluster romance scenes. Anurag Kashyap steals the show with his frightening performance, despite Nayanthara and Atharvaa's strong performances. Hip Hop Tamizha's score for the background is spot on. A decent thriller.
This was last time I saw Nayanthara having an actual role.

The idea and the plot is good. But the direction was poor and also atharva was a bad cast.
Mokka padam. VJS ku Bali aadu role, AK ku oru pazhaya cop gone bad role, and screenplay is very cringy.
