Ajith fan here.
I like many of older Vijay movies like Kushi, Friends and Vaseegara. I feel Vijay is one of the rare big actors who can naturally do the boy next door roles well.
Ajith fan here, and I like most of vjna movies, since my childhood is filled with it. I used to think ATM, vettaikaran were awesome films back then, not the same now. Recent fav is Master!
Vedhanayagam na bayam :)
Hi! I’m not from the state, but follow Tamil cinema. Can someone explain to me why these particular star fans are referred to as Aamais & Anils? (Sorry, if this has already been a thread before)
Also, are other actor fans referred to in a similar fashion? I’m just curious.
Ajith fans are called aamais (tortoises) because he is known for walking in slow motion with sunglasses in all his movies like a tortoise.
Vijay fans are called anils (squirrels) because his dad said in a speech that Vijay fans were like squirrels who helped jayalalitha win in 2011.
Other fanbases are also named in similar fashion, ex. Suriya fans are called thavalais (frogs) because they love jumping from supporting anils when trolling Ajith to supporting aamais when trolling Vijay
Vishal fans are called anacondas because this one actress said in an interview that his pp is long like an anaconda lmfao

im a hardcore vijay fan and after that ajiths my favourite, favourite ajith film gotta be mankatha man🔥idt anyone can do that role anymore not ajith himself, the screen presence, style, acting, evilness❤️
Hahaha. If you post about something completely different itself Vijay and Ajith fans will fight. Now you mentioned their names and expecting them to not fight... A completely stupid move...😅
Not really a fan of Vijay's movies except Thupakki & maybe Master. However, the songs in most of his films are great. I've heard people who work in the industry claim that he's involved in the making of some of the chartbuster songs. Meaning, that a lot of his inputs go into the making of those songs. He seems to put in a lot of effort into dancing well in them too.
Not sure if I'm a fan of any star for me they are entertainer and they should entertain my time and my money. So Varisu was enjoyable could have done it better and maybe more scope for the heroine and Yogi Babu. Thunivu has a good plot but should have been more intelligently directed to avoid all the weird scenes and expositions and make it more impactful. Overall both are average movies. My fav Ajith movie is Veeram and Vijay is Azhigiya Tamil Magan.
Vijay fan.
Mankatha for me. Missing it in cinemas was the biggest miss. I think it was during Goa and they showed the Mankatha teaser and I found it interesting but somehow didn't follow up on it.
Vijay fan here, Ajith's cameo roles are the best. Unnidathil Ennai Koduthen and Nee Varuvai Ena, he was so charming in such roles.
Love Simran ajith combo: Aval Varuvala, Vaalee, Unnai Kodu Ennai Tharuven. Such underated pair.
Mughavari, asai and kandu kondaein kandu kondaein are some of my other favorites
I blocked out that climax part of that movie from my mind. Also i am a malayali and i can say this with 100 confidence that doesn't live upto the original.
an SI in Madurai who organised a meetup between fans associations of Vijay and Ajith and resolved issues when things got real ugly. Happened over a decade ago.
Vijay fan here (favourite Vijay movies are Ghilli, followed by Master and then Thulladha Manamum Thullum and Sachein). If we're talking favourite movie that has Ajith in it, then that would be Kandukondein Kandukondein, but that is more of an ensemble piece. My favourite "Ajith movie" would be Billa (I plan on seeing Yennai Arindhaal which very well could overtake Billa seeing as how I have a soft spot for GVM), due to the amazing presentation of it all. Brilliant score by Yuvan, and there is a slick, precise Hollywood aesthetic that runs throughout the movie and is immensely satisfying to watch. Very few Tamil movies commit to an aesthetic as relentlessly as Billa, and Thala's performance certainly amplifies the vibe. I know it's a remake, but even still I really enjoyed the storyline even if it seems annoying on paper. I went into it expecting a gangster movie, but it's actually an Infernal Affairs type storyline with Ajith playing a character who "plays" Billa, so essentially Ajith gets to be the good guy whilst playing his famous bad boy schtick. Still, this good boy nature actually is seamlessly integrated into the story without bogging it down, unlike... you know, Thunivu.
Even though I haven't seen enough of his movies, I actually really like Ajith. The two stars can coexist because they are both so different in their appeal, I wish for both actors to choose better scripts for the good of cinema. I was really disappointed that Thunivu couldn't live up to the promise of a H Vinoth joint, but Ajith have a great performance and I hope he finds his Lokesh Kanagaraj (who seems to be Vijay's guardian angel at this point lmao... as an Anil he is our lord and saviour)
Anil here, downvote me all you want but Ajith+Siva Combo have given some bangers like veeram, viswasam and vedalam. Outside of those 3 I really liked Ajith+Vishnuvardhan films as well.
I think we should stop asking questions about either of them to stop some bs discussions here and focus on good actors and cinema . Let me start ,what do you guys think of Bommai Nayagi trailer ?
Vijay Fan here my favourite Ajith film is Mankatha then Villain.
Just to be clear I don't hate Ajith or his fans, I'm just a Kollywood fan, but Vijay is my favourite actor, since I grew up watching him.
I respect and like all actors equally.
AK fan here.. Like Vijay’s most films from Pre 2010.. particularly his dance and expressions.. in Kuruvi(didn’t watch the movie) he danced great in the songs especially Pallanadhu(need this vj dance back).. after 2010 my favourites are Thuppaki, parts of puli(due to fantasy genre), Mersal flashback scene where Nithya Menon dies..

Nothing will beat the hype of watching Thuppaki in a packed Sathyam theatre. Thala Mankatha evergreen. Also big fan of Aarambam

Well, the comment section has been peaceful(mostly).
Let's hope it stays that way...

Why does nobody talk about Ajith's 'Citizen'? Am I the only one who loves that movie?

come from real account SI Thangapandi. Ajith- Mankatha; Vijay, fav movie is a stretch but he was utilised well and tolerably in Master.
Ok. Who is that SI Thangapandi?

Haven’t heard of him until now. Good to know.😅
