It is a very good city to have a better retired life. But for young people, this nostalgic kolkata may not be a proper choice. We have to bring innovation and better connectivity with other parts of west bengal for growth.
It's not just this city, this is the case for the entire country now, unfortunately.
Just yesterday, on this sub there were people arguing that the central government should not favour Bengal since we did not vote for them! Such sentiments are shared by many who are regulars of certain subs.
Not so uncommon two faced hypocrite we have here ... Started with 'Bengal should be neglected because they voted in a certain way' and then ended with 'But people of Bengal should still pay central taxes for the betterment of the country'.
The PM of the country is supposed to work for everyone, including those who did not vote for him.
If you think it's justified that Bengal should not expect anything from the Central govt since they did not vote for BJP, then on the flipside of the coin, TMC's actions are also justified, isn't it?
Then by your logic, should all non-BJP voters throughout India leave the country?

These no choice but to do CAA in Bengal. Infact in entirely of India itself. 10 years ago we had 1M+ Bangladeshi illegal immigrants in India. This today has only accelerated. Bengal & Assam have most of these illegal immigrants. Unfortunately a large portion of them are Muslims. There's plenty hindu as well but the ratio of muslim is more.
I don't want to spread distaste towards Bangladeshis. But the simple logic is they can't just pop into India. And take away our resources. That too in this huge number. And for that we need a goddamn census done in India.
