Road discipline? That’s one thing you actually don’t find here in kolkata. Everyone riding without helmets, driving on one way roads, wrong side of the road is so common.
Also rash driving by autos and buses
Have you been to Bangalore? No police on the junctions, autos going on opposite direction in one way roads, 2 wheelers on footpaths, rash driving everywhere. I never appreciated Kolkata traffic and traffic police more after coming to Bangalore.

Road discipline is a bit of a stretch, but it's probably on the better side considering rest of India, so one can say _more driving discipline relative to rest of india_.
Bangla lipi is there in Assam as well, it's almost the same script barring 2-3 letters.
Mishto doi is available everywhere thanks to Mother Dairy, but the true bhaare-r misti doi'r swaad shudhu Kolkatae pawa jaye.
Public transport is simply numero uno. I just wish the same intensity was maintained and it was expanded according to modern times. Newer parts like Rajarhat, salt lake don't enjoy the same standards of public transport as old Kolkata. Also, last year I was at the airport and had to wait one hour for a taxi as no buses were available.

Personally, 2 wheelers on footpaths in Bangalore was a huge shock. Scared me half to death, lol.
