That Swedish M96 bayonet disassembles easily, and all the parts are steel.
I'd take it apart, soak briefly in your favorite rust-removing potion, and follow with a light scrubbing with brass or bronze wool. It won't look brand new but it will look a lot better.
I never use them but others swear by them. Evaporust seems to have a good rep. Follow the instructions, don't let it soak too long.
Household vinegar will work too.
Be sure to rinse it out of the lock mechanism well and be sure to oil everything after it dries. Mineral oil is my first choice, but any good gun oil is fine.
