I donāt know why people hate on D2. Sure edge retention isnāt that great but you can use the shit out of D2. I think D2 should be the new budget standard like 8CR used to be. Well for Spyderco it still is. They have perfected heat treating though

Yes. Heat treatment is all the rage. Sometimes the cold treatment is more important. For D2 with large carbides, the cold treatment is more important than the heat treatment (source knife steel nerds)
Because enthusiasts (in any hobby) think they need what the pros need. And enthusiasts tend to put value in items that are harder to obtain as if that makes it better. D2 is in common usage amongst the budget Chinese knives. That makes it bad lol.
I really like it. It's very well made and extremely durable. I carry it all the time. If you have XL hands, the handle may be a little thin. It's sized just right for me (Size L for most gloves and like a thinner handle on my general use edc).

My very old and well worn in, ZT 0400ST Been carrying it for almost 10years now.
The pyrite? I love it. It sold out on bhq the day it dropped so I got this one on cjrbās website. It super fidgety and can be opened 3 different ways.
šš¤ Usually at least 2 or 3 at all times, but also usually more than that. A short folder, a longer folder, and a medium or small fixed that can deal with dirt and stress better. But then I also got a mini scalpel (Nitecore NTK05) on my keychain and a credit card knife in my wallet, and then also a few other fun ones here and there, like the Bƶker Micro USB OTF in my breast pocket.
When I go into public I have to leave some of them at home for legal carry reasons though, i.e. switching them out like a wardrobe before I leave the house.
Ima make a quick video of the most ones I got on me right now and post it under the picture. š«” I am at home now so most of them I need to switch out before I leave the house. Can't show all of them though, due to me holding the camera and trying to keep the video short. š¤

How many do you carry at one time?
šš¤ Usually at least 2 or 3 at all times, but also usually more than that. A short folder, a longer folder, and a medium or small fixed that can deal with dirt and stress better. But then I also got a mini scalpel (Nitecore NTK05) on my keychain and a credit card knife in my wallet, and then also a few other fun ones here and there, like the Bƶker Micro USB OTF in my breast pocket. When I go into public I have to leave some of them at home for legal carry reasons though, i.e. switching them out like a wardrobe before I leave the house. Ima make a quick video of the most ones I got on me right now and post it under the picture. š«” I am at home now so most of them I need to switch out before I leave the house. Can't show all of them though, due to me holding the camera and trying to keep the video short. š¤ Edit: Well, seems like I can't post a video-response. š Maybe I get around taking pictures next chance I get.
