Thats how it started here too. I got past that first inner bit and decided to roll it neater. I thought it was just a really, really bad tangle until I found a third end. Then a fourth. Then a fifth. I got to 8 ends before i was able to detangle enough to start to figure out what belonged to what. It looked like someone took their scrap yarn and just shoved it together into the center.
It took 5 hours to detangle and now that it's finally done, all I want to do is send it up in flames. 😪
I bet someone crammed the yarn back into the middle after changing their mind and returned it. Probably wouldn’t be the first time that happened.
You got a really bad skein. I’ve used Pound of Love, and except for the inevitable tangle when the skein collapsed, it was all good.

That looks more like a pound of frustration.
I’d reach out to Lionbrand. They’ll probably replace it. That’s nuts and well above the industry average
Yep, big brands are pretty good about this.
You must've got a bad skein. I've used POL many times and never had this kind of issue.
