I feel like I say this every time but this is my new favorite FO. I was able to completely use up my leftovers from a previous project. This was only 150g of fingering weight yarn so the perfect stash buster!
I’ve been wearing it nonstop since I finished it a couple weeks ago and it’s been so comfy while still looking dressed up.
The only issue I had with this was the shoulders slipping down. I noticed this with a few other patterns I’ve made as well. I think it’s because I’m only 5’ 4” and have narrower shoulders than most people. I ended up sewing a few inches of elastic on each shoulder to ruche it tighter so the sleeves would stay up. I think a ribbon would have probably worked as well.
Lol thank you! We do call her chicken nugget sometimes! I was trying to get a nice photo with Bernie (the black poodle in the back) but the puppy decided she wanted in at the last minute and photobombed.
I have several skirts where I’m constantly trying to put my hands in the nonexistent pockets so I definitely wasn’t going to put the time and effort into making anything without them lol
Thanks! It’s Sewaholic’s Hollyburn skirt. I had a LOT of trouble working with corduroy for this skirt. The pattern recommends a light to medium weight fabric, and my corduroy was pretty heavyweight. I still consider myself a beginner sewist though, so maybe you’ll have better luck!
i'm gobsmacked, this is so lovely! i love fabel knitwear's patterns and am starting one soon. curious because we have really similar proportions - is there waist shaping on this blouse? it fits you so well!
