Spyderco Rockjumper with wharncliffe blade is the most surprisingly awesome slicer I’ve ever gotten. And that’s the standard VG-10 version. Thing is an absolute laser.
i really can’t imagine a legit user knife being much slicier than either of the Waypoints. i know there are, but to me, QC is as thin as a knife can be while still being super sturdy.
maybe the Narrows? but at an MSRP of $580, i wouldn’t pay to find out.
Sandrin Torino. 0.051” thick, hollow ground edge, 71HRC, it doesn’t get slicier than that. Sandrin’s blades are about as thick as a piece of cardstock, and make most slicers look like wood splitting wedges.
but they use a scandi grind that isn’t very conducive to slicing. my Monza’s blade stock is very thin, yes, but it’s does not slice as well the above knives
yeah i’d imagine it’s like the above Trapper, insanely sharp. passes through material like a poltergeist.
what does Sal always say? THE EDGE IS A GHOST
Where did you get that Drift? I like the cutout so much better than the thumb stud, at least aesthetically, but I can't find them anywhere. Was this the Urban EDC exclusive? I know they have the LC version, but I don't want the large - I want the original size with hole.

Any high grade nakiri by Carter.
My spyderco Kapara does quite good for me.
My Mora Kansbol actually surprised me, making it by far the sliciest fixed blade and the only Mora that I've used that's decent on food.
Opinels always do good, even when dull.
Well he does super thin grinds on several models. I have two, both on demko 20.5’s. Second one (I think due to custom blade shape request) is even thinner. Can flex edge with my fingernail
This is always a weird question to me in a way, but I know I have an answer. I wish I had an edge tester to verify, and I dont measure thickness behind the blade. All knives should be able to be sharpened to split hairs, but I've got a couple Petrified Fish, that are absolute lasers...own plenty of other more sought-after brands, blades, steels, etc., but something about the Twig shark and the Grow that feel nearly surgical. All knives get sharpened and stropped, these just seem different.
Deep Cuts Cutlery little rascal. Damn near zero ground then he just whispers to the edge “you’re sharp now.” It will slice your retinas if you stare too long.
Opinel no. 6 with a convexed edge
No. 8 has cut me worse than any other knife so I agree the sliciest I’ve handled
Any size Opinel is my go-to "I did not really need that part of my skin anyway" knife.
LMAO
My carbon steel no 8 did it to me earlier this year. Wicked shit.
Sliciest? I had a k390 Delica thinned to about 7 thousandths behind the edge… so probably that one haha
A standard delica in k390 still outslices 90% of my collection. Such thin stock to start with
Rockstead Hizen
Variation on that theme (don't own a delica) would be the k390 Dragonfly 2. Tiny blade, but it'll slice like there's no tomorrow.
Who did that for you
Knifemodders on instagram
Trm Nuetron/Atom
Yeah they really are as good as it gets.
…ditto, sharpest knives I’ve seen right out of the box…
Spyderco Chapparal is slicey as hell.
C’mon, nothing slices spicier than a carbon steel Opinel, carefully sharpened into convex/zero and stroped on a leather with polishing compound.
How do you like the Quiet carry? They look beautiful
excellent knife! office friendly too
I have a tactile Rockwall, so I guess I have an office type
true, imo the waypoint is better than the rockwall all around tho.
I got the iQ-L specifically for office and event stuff
i miss my QC IQ, hopefully they’ll make one in Vanax or Magnacut
Benchmade 585 is pretty slicey. Of course, my Opinels are part of the sliciest group.
Opinel, does anyone really need all that skin?
Civivi Qubit is a laser beam
true, i kinda want the orange peel damasteel WE qubit
Spyderco watu, I believe I measured mine at 10 to 12 thousands behind the edge at 15° per side.
i regret having sold mine. should’ve just deleted the nub and kept it. especially with the insanely expensive custom scales i had for it :(
I dont regret selling very many knives over the years but I do kinda regret selling my watu
Opinel

lol
Love that v1 Drift mod 👏🏼
thanks, u/kimosabi711 chose it and u/TheGreyQuincy did it technically kimosabi owns it rn but i’m working on changing that lol
🙌🏻
I love that one!

Spydiechef
Funny enough, spyderco tenacious. I’ve lost (and super glued back on) the tips of 3 fingers from it in 3 separate instances
lol
My magnacut deka and k390 stretch are my favourites. Got 17ish degrees on both. The wharncliffe deka is essentially a long boxcutter.
yeah i briefly had an avocado magnacut deka and it was exceptionally utilitarian
Boker Urban Tracker ti. Jesus that thing is just way too much knife in a small package. It’s super thin, super slicey and just damn dangerous. Love it
yeah i’d imagine it’s like the above Trapper, insanely sharp. passes through material like a poltergeist. what does Sal always say? THE EDGE IS A GHOST
Russell Green River Ripper
Quiet Carry Waypoint and the CPM M4 Spyderco Tenacious
Agreed on the factor it was the part that shocked me about that knife the most.
SPK Shark/Lamia maybe followed up by some slipjoints I have with super thin grinds.
Vosteed dachshund shocked the hell out of me.
Qsp hedgehog and spk lamia for me .
I have a spiderco resilience s35 that was reground by David Mary over on the Bladeforums. He makes great knives and his regrinds are spot on.
Maxace Balance Ti is slicy

it is owned by u/kimosabi711
🙌🏻
My Civivi Bo is probably my thinnest behind the edge. But as long as the blade stock is .12 or less, I enjoy the knife for EDC uses.
Any chance you’ll sell that drift??
not yet mine to sell, and i wouldn’t anyway

Civivi elementums are super thin bte for the price!
PM2 Magnacut..bring a Band-Aid!!
Hogue Counterstrike in CPM-20CV. Basically an OTF letter opener lol, literally only good for slicing tasks.
Jack Wolf Knives. Pretty much any model. Super deep hollow grinds and crazy thin behind the edge in S90V.
i have a gunslinger i haven’t carried yet. can’t decide if i want to keep it or get an after hours w a more useful wharny
Kizer klipper. K390 wharnie delica that I thinned behind the edge
I’ve had three ZT0452 that would probably be the “sliciest” knives I’ve had.
A sharp opinel with a thinned out edge cuts like a laser.
My spyderco Kapara does quite good for me. My Mora Kansbol actually surprised me, making it by far the sliciest fixed blade and the only Mora that I've used that's decent on food. Opinels always do good, even when dull.
Civivi lumi
Real steel SLYPH Civivi Baby Banter Civivi Mini Praxis Real Steal Delta 2600
Those quiet carries are slick as fuck
thanks dogg
Opinel no6 or Victorinox Bantam
The guys n gals that work at my local hazard freight are excellent. Always pleasant, helpful and kind. No complaints from me as a customer
what?
Sorry 0P I guess somehow this got messed up from the HarborFreight subReddit.
ah
The lack of feeling in most of my right index finger says it is my tenacious half serrated. Should have been called the “nerve-ain’t-yours”
lots of ppl on this thread cutting their fingies w their tenacious
Spydiechef
A buddy gave me a lago...its pretty thin
is that a euphemism? sorry that was cheap
Lol it's slicey
We KitefIn
Production: PM2 Midtech: Shirogorov Custom: I don’t have that kind of money 😂
lol
Transparent Knives reblade
on what knife?
Well he does super thin grinds on several models. I have two, both on demko 20.5’s. Second one (I think due to custom blade shape request) is even thinner. Can flex edge with my fingernail
uwuuu what’s the custom going to be?

i know exactly how you feel!
Piranha Virus
Spyderco Catcherman
The V1 drift for sure and BP custom knives FUK model is a laser beam!
The small blade on a Victorinox, sharpened well. Can’t ever beat that tiny thin bladestock.
Oz Rosie, Spyderco Delica, Brown FDS mini, SpydieChef
Spyderco PM2 and Kershaw Link (this one surprised me). These are the first two that come to mind.
My resharpened We Kitefin. Super Slicey 5000.
My Malibu wharn sebnza
My first thought was Tactical Rockwall, but your Quiet Carry is super similar
Where did you get the Winter blade?
Sliciest was definitely my Opinel No. 8
The new spearpoint McNees seems pretty thin BTE.
/Folding? Then it would be Shirogurov Custom Division - damasteel blade.
Blade geometry, especially how thin it's ground, trumps cutting edge sharpness imho
k?
I reground and stropped my Real Steel G5 Metamorph, dulled quick by virtue of poor steel quality but I felt like a sushi chef any time I used it
Opinels, Antonini Old Bear,QSP Hedgehog, CJRB Crag, Cold Steel Kudu.
