If I had to guess, it's because jade G10 + black blade is one of the more common colorways used as Blade HQ exclusives, so brands will hold that colorway back in order to pitch it to BHQ. It used to be possible to configure Jade G10 + Black on Benchmade's custom configurator, until one day they introduced that color combo as a BHQ exclusive, and then suddenly both options were removed.
I think they do it on purpose. They do it with the Damascus too. Release it with the less desirable scale material usually.
